This is the official feedback thread for stackable Siege Weaponry. Specific feedback that the team is looking for includes the following:
  • Do you feel this was a reasonable change?
  • Does everything make sense as to how things now work?
  • Was there anything you feel could be further improved?
  • Did you notice if there are any items we may have missed?
  • Do you have any other general feedback?

This is an excellent change as I normally carry multiple siege weapons on multiple characters. This will certainly free up some inventory space on my characters and in my bank.

The same goes for the unified repair kits.

Now we need the same change for treasure maps.

Nothing bad can be said about this, it's a great QoL change, it's just been a long time coming. I don't understand why changes like this don't get implemented faster, seeing as they are so easy to do.

Do you feel this was a reasonable change?
For how Cyrodiil is currently played, yes, I believe this is a nice quality of life improvement.
I have my own reservations on encouraging more and more of the siege monkey behaviour, as opposed to PVP, though. It is already quite prevalent for people to run into a keep, outpost, whatever and litter the 2nd or 3rd floor with oils they pour down, and just stealth away when you go to remove them.

I do not personally believe someone should be able to carry several hundred oils, trebs, or meatbags on them.

Does everything make sense as to how things now work?
    Yes

Was there anything you feel could be further improved?
I think having a siege wheel in the quick slot would be appreciated by the community.

Did you notice if there are any items we may have missed?
None that I have seen thus far.

Do you have any other general feedback?
Siege damage is still unable to be mitigated at all with block or dodgerolling.

I also think the team should seriously consider the playstyle they're encouraging. I believe much of the PVP community would enjoy a return to real PVP as opposed to player v. siege.

Some more things to consider here. Imperial NPCs such as those at the various camps in Cyrodiil along with the enemies in Cheydinhal will sometimes drop wall and door repair kits. Have those been replaced as well?

Reward boxes during Whitestrake’s Mayhem will also drop door, wall and siege repair kits. Will those be replaced during the summer Whitestrake’s event, assuming it happens?

The monthly campaign rewards include wall repair kits. Will those be converted to the new kits also?

ETA: I ventured to Cheydinhal and killed a few of the Imperials. They dropped the new repair kits so that was nice to see.

I was going to complain that the Dominion Cold Stone Trebuchet weren’t stacking for me, but I just grabbed a bunch out of a guild bank (side note: thank you guildies) and those stacked. Something is still up, because it was registered as being at full health to start with, but it isn’t a universal issue with the Dominion Cold Stone Trebuchet.

I was pleased that the Dwemer Lancers didn’t get left out of stacking. 😄

    • Do you feel this was a reasonable change?

Very much so. Awesome quality of life decision.
    • Does everything make sense as to how things now work?

Yep. If your inventory is full, it tells you so when you try to Stow. It seems to consistently put down the lowest health Siege you have in your inventory. The quick slot shows the correct total. Looks good.
    • Was there anything you feel could be further improved?

Nope! Just add more Siege weapons into PvE somewhere. We don't have enough Siege usage in the rest of the game.
    • Did you notice if there are any items we may have missed?

Looks like Flaming Oil Siege was missed

    • Do you have any other general feedback?

Nope. Thanks for this QoL improvement!

Also something to consider, is that if you kill the Siege Merchant you should get to Loot their corpse!!! Something like a Camp, a Recall Stone, or 1/2 dozen Ballistas or Oils would be cool.

Good change and good idea imo. Makes repair and siege in cyro easier to obtain so ppl will repair and siege more which will bbe beneficial for pvp. I would suggest that it would also be a good thing to makes camps in pvp easier to obtain. Like lower the cost and stack. More camps would be beneficial and an improvement for the overall pvp play and experience. Imo it is more the experienced vet players that set camps wich widens the gap even further between vet and casual players. Camps should be made so that many casual players want to do it. Like give an AP bonus for setting camps and an announcement in the area like the kill announcements, so it will be desired to set a camp like something heroic to gain reputation.

Stackable siege is awesome. Amazing addition. Fantastic.

However - why is there still no Siege Quickslot Wheel? You added literally every other type of quickslot wheel. There's a ton of different types of Siege, so having a dedicated wheel would be a huge QoL improvement.

PvPers often have a couple different potions + their main food + both vamp foods if they're a vampire. Add all the different types of siege, and your quickslot wheel clogs up very quickly.

Add a quickslot wheel for siege.

I like the idea of stackable siege and unified repair kits, but you guys really need to fix your anti-cheat code.

I'm tired of getting instakicked for hitting too many people at once with lancers or coldfire sieges. You guys putting me in timeout so I can't log right back in guarantees loss of siege, and usually loss of place if there's a queue. Either remove siege from the boot triggers, or change the values, or at least make it so if you kick people for doing too much damage, their siege automatically gets packed up and saved.

I logged in to one my characters who is homed to the Blackreach campaign on the NA live server. My January campaign rewards arrived in the mail with the new repair kits instead of the previous wall repair kits. This was very nice to see.

I play on the ps5, and up until this week, I thought Gina was just Cat Fishing me with the consolidation of repair kits.
