Scribing: What abilities do you want?

I see it as a continual trend where they add a new set of abilities every year, for now its just one ability to weapons, guild, and world skill lines; the example is they added a utility escape ability to the Bow skill line. What do you feel is missing or you like to fill in for future years content?

Example:
One-Hand and Shield: plant a magic shield into the ground in front of you, create an obstacle similar to the Ice Barrier that mob casters use that can draw enemy attacks, Line of Sight blocker.

    In terms of style, I'd love some martial arts moves added to one of the non-weapon skill lines (Fighters Guild, maybe?). It'd be very cool to be able to kick like Ri'Atahrashi.

    Yeah a kick for high damage or a take down CC maneuver would be cool.

    I don't have any idea yet. I'm not primarily interested in magic users in TES (yes, I have them, no I don't play them much, not even my magdens or sorcs).

    I'll figure it out eventually - probably by trying whatever comes up and finding out it doesn't work so try something else?

    I'll repost what I wrote in another thread. In short, I want a Grimoire skill for the Werewolf skill line that can be cast without a nearby enemy (such as with Roar, Hircine's Bounty, and Infectious Claws) that can have a Secondary effect that adds time to the Werewolf Transformation timer when cast. Maybe it would be nice to have a taunt or an ally heal as a Primary effect. It would also be nice to have a heal over time independent from the life leech of Claws of Life.
    What I hope to get out of Scribing for a Werewolf build is at least one new skill that can be customized.

    There are tons of animations for the werewolf character model that could be used for a new skill if the designers didn't want to make an elaborate animation like the backflip shown with the Vault Grimoire for the Bow skill line. Notably, I think of the one animation that werewolf NPCs have where they jump into the air and knock the player back, or another animation where the werewolf swipes with their claws four times and then bites twice. I'd personally love to finally have a biting skill like Werewolf Behemoth has.

    Regardless, the base animation for a Werewolf Grimoire wouldn't necessarily have to be magical β€” it could look like another physical attack (just like how Infectious Claws, Pounce, and Piercing Howl aren't visually "magical") but with the ability to have its damage type changed. Maybe an AoE Grimoire like the one shown for Vault could allow Werewolf to heal/buff their allies or taunt enemies. After all, this development screenshot shows that Vault, a Bow Grimoire, is going to allow players to heal allies or taunt enemies with the Primary effect:

    So it's entirely possible that a Werewolf Grimoire could help Werewolf players fill in many of the holes that their build naturally has. Also, I'll bet that one of the Secondary effects for a Werewolf Grimoire will probably be to add time to the Werewolf Transformation timer, since the Secondary effects play into the identity of the associated skill line. Maybe this could be an easier way for Werewolf to sustain their timer when there are no enemies around?

    2H: Backspin (Like in Oblivion or Skyrim heavy attacks)

    1H&S: I'd really like the power bash to be the skill that gets modified with elements/status effects, but that probably won't happen. I like OP's wall idea. Only other idea I can think of is a swinging shield "slice" motion that would buff the next Puncture or Slash ability if used in combination.

    Dual Wield: Jump over the enemy with a cartwheel slash.

    Destru: ??? No clue.

    Resto: Place counter on target that adds healing recieved by 4%, for each time they block, up to 3 times.

    A universal AOE pull for tanks, with an added AOE taunt.

    Some way to make healers more unique all across, it seems all classes main the same skills. Would be nice to have more endgame variety.

    Conjure Flame Atronach / Familiar / Skeleton Warrior / etc
    simple elemental spells like Fireball and Ice Spike
    non-combat skills like Muffle and Waterwalking

    If it's the latter, ZoS may be able to sell a lot of Mages Guild unlocks and so on for crowns.

    From what I understand, multiple skill lines will get special Grimoire skills which can be customized. At the launch of Gold Road, there will be a Grimoire skill added to each of the Weapon skill lines (including Restoration Staff, Destruction Staff, One Hand and Shield, Two Handed, Dual Wield, and Bow) as well as for some other skill lines.

    It's very possible that new Grimoire skills will be added to more skill lines over time, and we may also see multiple Grimoire skills made for the same skill lines. So, this may incentivize players to purchase or unlock skill lines if the best Grimoire skills require those skill lines to be unlocked in order to use.

    The one thing I wanted since 2014. An alternatice to Staffs for Casting. Hands would be my choice.

    I want to make effective pet builds, regardless of what my characters' classes are.

    Scribed grimoire abilities of persistent summoning abilities.

    Imagine a one bar of 6 grimoire summoning skills that take inspirations from the original skill lines that are already in the game, simultaneously used and kept on the battlefield until they are unsummoned by the caster.

    If there is no limitation to how many scribed grimoire skills we can use in the future, then the previous example is but one of the possible combinations.

    If i understood the system correctly, that is.

    Would love to have options for magic damage on melee weapons. I love the idea of an arcane warrior that is able to dispense magic damage with one handed & shield, for instance.

    Crafting a skill that used music. A singing sword. Reducing the stats(major debuff) of all enemy that hear the tune. Would be fun and maybe a sudo bard build of sorts.

    I'd love a wolf for my warden and anything which doesn't constantly flap for a sorcerer.

    I'm not thrilled about the way Scribbing will be adding 1 new Skill to each existing, non-Class Skill line.

    I'd rather they just have added 3 new Weapon Skill lines: Unhanded, 1H + Spell, Pole Axe

    Each of these new Skill lines would use this Scribing mechanic fully, all 5 Skills.

    I think it would be interesting to see Grimoires made for skill lines which don't have any Active Abilities. For instance: all Racial skill lines, Scrying/Excavating, Emperor, Legerdemain, Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood, all Crafting skill lines, and so on. It would be very neat to be able to have an Active Ability unique to some of those skill lines which were never given one. Also, I think that the Armor skill lines were forgotten when the Weapon skill lines were chosen to first receive Grimoires.

    Also, it's been rumored that eventually there will be a Grimoire made for Class skill lines. If that happens, I'd expect the interaction with the Class Set(s), of which we have 1 of 3, might be a brand new kind of meta.
