Marauder Gothmau NEEDS to be toned down

Gothmau, compared to the other Marauders, is incredibly overpowered. His attacks are too fast and deal excessive damage plus they apply bleeding. The result is (at arc3 in full heavy armor) 36k damage from two single attacks in about a second (remember that the healing over time ticks every 2 seconds... pretty uncounterable). At arc5 his damage is 57k damage per second.
Kiting him is almost impossible because he's also moving too fast and there's not enough time to distance, deal damage, and selfheal.

I agree, or make it so you dont lose a thread if you die to a Marauder.

Like the special rooms, if you clear them you get extra rewards but you dont lose a thread if you dont.

arc 6 Gothmau be like ↑ 35k LA with 4k/s bleeding

I agree that Gothmau and the other two Marauders are on different levels. I've gotten as far as solo arc 9 now. I can take on the other Marauders at solo arc 8 easily, but I've never beaten Marauder Gothmau at higher than arc 5. How far Solo Archive can go I feel is mostly a contest of luck as to when Marauder Gothmau will arrive.

ZOS next Patch notes: "Normalized Marauder power levels"
    Players: "Yeah!"
Also players: "Why am I dying in 2 seconds to Ulmor?!?!"

I believe Gothmau is literally designed to kill runs. I doubt ZOS will nerf Gothmau without buffing the other Marauders.

While I think that Marauder Gothmau is killable, I also don't want to spend 10 minutes kiting him to do so. His light attacks hit incredibly hard, which IF you survive, you just get to deal with the bleed as well. Then there's the fact that he pretty much moves as fast as you do, all while hitting you will said light attacks. I would rather fight the other two Marauders simultaneously than Marauder Gothmau after Arc 2 or 3. Someone definitely missed the mark on this one.

Marauders are like the monsters in Ski Free. I think that the whole point of Marauders is to cut threads.

Remember that Marauders do not respawn within the arc. If you wipe to one, you won't encounter another until the next arc, so they are kind of "optional", for the price of a thread (regular bosses are "mandatory" in that if you are unable to kill one, then you will just wipe repeatedly on it until either you learn to kill it or you lose all your threads). This suggests to me that they exist primarily to take away threads.

People have said since PTS that Marauders are harder than the Cycle bosses, yet no adjustments were ever made, which suggests that ZOS believes that they're working as intended.

In any case, there is indeed a discrepancy between Gothmau and the other two, but it's unclear if that's because he's overperforming or if the other two are just underperforming; people joke about it here, but it wouldn't surprise me if their solution for this discrepancy is to give the others the same lethality, so be careful what you wish for. :o

Well at least at that point your runs would be less about RNG of which marauders you get and more about your ability to handle them regardless of what you get. Buff them all or bring the outlier into line with the other two.

Realistically its dang near impossible for most people to solo him after arc 5. The only way ive done it at arc 5 period is when I get one of the atro vision. Its so rare to get all of those visions in a run to arc 5 and then get the verse on top of all that. I obviously there are players with super lucky rng for visions and a meta builds (usually dks or wardens) that can but my poor plar is woefully out matched most times since my rng is just atrocious the majority of the time. Ive gotten as far as arc 8 with a buddy but i think arc 9 is probably the farthest we would get without optimal visions.

Did a 6 Arc run last night where we got Marauder Gothmau 4 of the 5 Marauders that spawned. The Marauder that we got in Arc 6 was Gothmau and he one-shot me with a 47K hit through my block. Good times. It would be awesome if we could at least get a comment from ZOS regarding whether Gothmau was intentionally made harder than the other two Marauders, or if this is just another bug to slip through the cracks.

of course, but Zos also needs to be careful about how they modify things. If it becomes boring or frustrating, they might risk turning an interesting content like AI into just another dead content in the game.

+1 to this for sure. Surprised not many talking about this. Whenever I see him spawn in I try to kite like crazy and then he randomly kills me in seconds and ends my runs lol

I think Zos wanted him to be like the butcher in D4 and tuned him up like crazy but IA is nothing near D4 dungeons.

Its really hard to kill him solo even in early Arcs and before someone coment that IA isnt meant for solo please of course its made for solo also, there even a solo leaderboard.

If you have a tank and a dps Marauders are much easier to kill but alot of players play IA solo and a Marauder shouldnt be tuned up like that in early Arcs, later is more understandable.
