Agree, it's weird they hold back on pvp updates for years because they want to make sure the performance doesn't suffer then this happens when they do all these events together.
That's assuming this is the reason, I'm guessing because they seem to be incapable of communicating as well.2 -
Franckh✭✭✭So yes I find it's a way for those who pay a subscription to find themselves waiting behind the visit of "free" players, in almost all MMORPGs subscriptions are considered a priority, but it is true that none of this type is offered in the eso+ subscription. .. So let's move on... What bothers me the most is why is it a good idea to include this free period in a paid event? No joke... So the regulars, the subscribers with a family life and a job and who are not yet on vacation and who just want to come quickly to do their procedures and their 3 tickets find themselves in queues of 35 minutes....

RicAlmighty✭✭✭✭✭The infrastructure has always been a weak link for this game. How you do not plan to overprovision servers when you are doing a free giveaway, an event, AND a free ESO+ trial at the same time is almost negligent. I worked in internet services and networking for over 20 years and this is basic knowledge. Especially in these days of elastic and on-demand provisioning it is easier than ever to do this.
Zenimax is owned by one of the richest companies in the world, and yet they pinch pennies when it comes to actually allowing their customers to use the product. Not exactly a well thought out decision.

Reminds himself not to be a foot stamper, or a "I am a special snowflake and demand status appropriate to my hierarchical rank" queue jumper.

✭the real feature is waiting through the queue and then getting kicked with an error 103 when the system pukes instead of logging you on.

aetherix8✭✭It's been several days since there's been this queue, which for me is unprecedented. Since this morning, I had to disconnect a few times, and every time I wanted to reconnect, I was getting a longer and longer queue time. At this point, I'm just going to play something else since wobbling my cursor regularly on the login page for more than 1 hour on Sunday isn't exactly my definition of fun. And the result might be error 103 or 108, whatever; I'm not taking such a risk.
ZOS fix it asap, this is extremely discouraging.
