Will the Quest State Bug be fixed for U39?

Based on the historic evidence, the mid-July incremental patch is the last one we usually get before the end-of-August update.

Since the Quest State bug wasn't addressed in the 9.0.8 patch (and the quest which is one of the major causes of the bug is still available), can the team try to have this fixed in one of the upcoming PTS patches?

As yet, the bug still seems to be active on PTS since I tested the bugged "Kill Arcanists" quest on PTS last week, so we know there were no fixes to that coming up to at least 9.1.1.

Frankly fixing this bug should be ZOS's #1 priority, even over work on U39. And it shouldn't wait for anything. The second it is fixed internally the fix should be pushed to live. @ZOS_Kevin
The amount of time we're had to wait for it to be fixed even so far is appalling. Especially since I know for a fact it was reported within days of U38 being launched on PC.

Asking this again, as we still haven't gotten any information on this bug at all.

We have at least gotten confirmation that the sound bug introduced in this week's maintenance will be fixed in time for Update 39, but there has been no word on the Quest State bug as yet. Since the last communication, players have found the most common cause of the bug, but we don't even know if ZOS developers have noticed.

It's been over a month that people have been reporting this. People are getting angry that they are blocked from doing any and all questing because of this. They won't likely stick around if this bug doesn't get addressed. A handful of XP scrolls in the daily rewards is not enough to get disgruntled players to "continue their adventures in Tamriel" if they can't do said adventures in the first place.

This is a literally gamebreaking bug. ZOS cannot ignore it.

Hi all, wanted to share an update on this issue. We know this bug has been frustrating and we have been making progress on pinpointing what’s causing it; we’ve found it frequently manifests itself after completing the Cyrodiil quest “Kill 20 Arcanists” or the Necrom quest “Tracing Shadows”, as many of you have noted.

At this time, the fix is appearing to be quite complex and unfortunately isn’t one that we’re able to hotfix. We are currently targeting to have this fixed with Update 39 launch and will keep you posted if this changes. Thanks for your patience and understanding here.
