The group is bugged

The dungeon finder / grouping tool is one of THE most buggy things in this game and it's about time you fixed it ZOS...

1. If you are already in a group, queueing for a dungeon, there is a GOOD chance your group won't be ported to the dungeon! Instead, the queue will pop, but you won't receive a teleport

2. The queue will pop and you will be teleported to the dungeon. However, sometimes it will teleport you into a completely different instance, removing you from your group and forcing you to leave! Logging out, changing zones, none of this seems to solve the bug. The only solution is for the group to completely leave the instance, regroup, toggle the Group Dungeon Mode, then port back to the dungeon manually. It's like the instance itself was bugged. I have a sneaking suspicion that Companions have something to do with this bug... but I don't know for sure...

3. When the dungeon is over, you leave the group and then leave the instance. Except, then you find you're still in the group... and you can't leave it either! Doesn't fix itself until you change zones or relog

4. The queue itself is completely abuseable, if you know what to do. I'm going to list some tricks and tips to abuse the queue!
  1. 1. If queued solo and the dungeon doesn't pop instantly
    1. Leave the queue. Go to Group & Activity Finder > Group. Then, toggle the Dungeon Mode at the top. Requeue.
    2. Leave the queue. Change zones. Requeue.
  2. 2. If queued in a group and the dungeon doesn't pop instantly
    1. Make sure the DPS role is the one that queues the group.
    2. Make sure the highest leveled group member is the one that queues the group.
    3. Leave the queue and go to Group & Activity Finder > Group. Then, toggle the Dungeon Mode at the top. Requeue.
    4. Leave the queue. Change zones. Requeue.

pretty sure they have acknowledged the dungeon finder issues and their current plan is to try to fix some of this in the next update

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

from my personal experience, point 1 definitely is random (not quite 50/50 on it happening to someone in the group but close), but this is the one ive heard might be caused due to companions

i dont think ive ever experienced point 2, and i think ive only experienced point 3 once or twice in maybe a year

point 4 is what is kind of being discussed in the dev thread (thats stickied in general discussions) and thats slated to be fixed in a future update

granted to be honest, i do not run dungeons through the queue that much unless im in a pre-formed group, or trying to farm gear from DLC dungeons to make the runs go a little faster lol

Yeah, #1 is literally 50% of the time, so it makes sense that ZOS knows about it. #2 & #3 have been happening WAY more since Necrom. Used to be like maybe 5% of the time, but its more like 20% for me.

I didn't see the sticky for #4, wish I had! I'v been using those tricks for over a year now once I noticed how they work. They reeaaallllly do work 100x better than players think. Solo queue favors non DPS roles, but grouped queueing favors DPS roles. Toggling the Group Dungeon Mode also does work.... but I don't see much discussion on that. May just be an observer bias though. Feels like 50% of the time, it works every time.
