Other than some minor adjustments, 8.3.1, .2, and .3 have nothing really.

Will 8.3.4 or .5 have any additional combat and gameplay changes? Considering how infrequently balance passes come around, there are still a lot of issues with class skills and performance that need to be addressed.

    Extremely unlikely…

…We've also seen feedback regarding Pet vs non-Pet builds. Specifically, wanting more options for non-Pet builds. While there will be no changes to this in U37, we want to acknowledge this sentiment and the team is monitoring this…

…While there are no planned changes for Templar in U37, outside of anything already highlighted in patch notes, we're evaluating everchanging data and will continue to adjust around issues when they arise. Your continued feedback will be apart of that process.

I think what players don't understand is that whatever is in the initial patch notes, those are what we have to work with for the entire PTS cycle. The initial patch notes are changes that the dev team has tested internally and are considering making. The changes are basically done, but they want feedback and PTS testing. Minor adjustments can be made, but as far as the development team is concerned, the changes are 90% done!

Players spend most of the PTS cycle describing new things they want to see (myself included). However, no player should expect those suggestions to be included in the same PTS cycle they are suggesting them in! The most you can hope for is that the changes you suggest will be considered for the future. The dev team needs time to digest your suggestions, test them internally, and contemplate if they want to make those changes.

TLDR; The process is MUCH slower and rigid than most players seem to expect. The ship turns incredibly slowly.

That is confusing, because in the past I believe we have seen .3 and I think .5? PTS notes with more changes. I can’t remember exactly but some players seem to know which weeks usually get new notes.

the PTS cycle is usually 5 weeks of patches
    • week 1 is the initial drop
    • weeks 2-5 are bug and/or obvious problem fixes, or balance changes for the new content

usually ~2-3 weeks after week 5 is when the content is released to live servers
    plays PC/NA

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

I'd be interested in hearing this refuted with examples, but in my experience, AFTER .0, there are 3 types of additional Combat changes:
    1. Additional skill changes based on balancing
    2. Bug fixes
    3. Adjustments to changes based on player feedback

#1 & #2 are exclusively changes that the development team ALREADY planned on making. #3 is for slight adjustments based on player feedback. Players only have control over #3, in a minor way. They are not interested in full reversals, only minor tweaks.

No where in there do they make changes, during the current PTS, to skills that haven't been already mentioned or were already planned to be changed. IOW, player feedback is only used to make minor adjustments to skills that the developers already decided to change. They don't make changes to anything they hadn't already planned on making changes on. Those additional feedback changes are held for the next PTS cycle

For instance, there was 0% chance they were going to change Jabs in any way at all since it was not covered in 8.3.0. No amount of complaining or posts was going to get them to make a change to a skill they never planned on changing, during this PTS. Now, maybe we can hope for the next PTS, but not this one.
