I really do wish there were furnishings available from the Impresario. I also wish we could retain more tickets. *sigh*

Or just simply don't do the event.

New life event has always been a catch up event for people who missed all or part of earlier events in the year as this is the last chance.

OK, thank you for suggesting me to not play anymore ahahahahahahahaha
    :-)

Lol, no I didn't say don't play the game. I was trying to just say don't do the event.

Like I said in my post there new life festival has always had an excess of tickets in them. That is because it's the last opportunity to finish things out. It helps those players that had to skip a prior event due to lack of dlc or the inability to play.

Though if not playing is an option then taking a break can be healthy.

Personally, I would rather contend with there being an excess of tickets and not enough to spend them on instead of there being too many limited time items to buy and not enough tickets.

Though I won't say no to furnishings and other items being for sale during events so long as the persist through more than a single one.

I wish the ticket cap would be removed or just greatly increased. Better flexibility to skip events you don't enjoy, or can't participate in because you have to travel, etc. And if you WANT to participate in an event and there's nothing to buy you can just consider it insurance in case you are busy next time.

The large amount of players who DON'T have everything in this game already appreciate their tickets quite a bit more than OP.

It's rather like $100 bills raining down from the heavens, and a billionaire complaining about how all that money is being wasted because they already have everything money can buy.

One thing that I WOULD be in favor of is a much larger cap on the amount of tickets players can have, so that they can save up as many tickets as they like for future use.

This game already has enough rewards for players who have hours and hours every day to play on a regular basis. Rewarding those players even further is ludicrous.

The items you can get with endeavors or vouchers have no impact on how the game is played at all. There is no advantage nor disadvantage provided. As it is now long term players are being offered tickets they have zero use for. As we see in these forums this is off putting. Allowing an exchange provides a way so that the tickets are not completely worthless. These events are created to entice players to visit zones they might not have been in for a while and to participate in a variety of things. It is good for the game to have players wanting to do a variety of things.
Being able to exchange tickets would give long term players a reason to participate and participation by as many as possible will always be good for the game. Me being able to get another crafting table two days earlier than I normally would has no impact at all on how others play the game or others experiences in the game. It does give me reason to want the tickets even if just a small reason.

Could be a good solution, but I think they rather add something extra to buy, they are not planning to remove the cap, unfortunatly

It is a lose lose situation. f they add more things players that are trying to catch up with past items complain that they can't get everything. If they do not add more things players that have past items complain there is nothing to use tickets on.

Maybe they should allow players to purchase seals of endeavor or writ vouchers with tickets?

I need one more fragment on my new account both PC servers for the pet after morphing for the hourglass - and I haven't looked, but this would be the first time it wasn't available I think? I also need the hourglass piece(s) - not in game, so not sure how many more there are; I have the first two.

To this day don't know why currency exchange isn't a thing. Why does customer service prefer to intervene when people get scammed in crown-for-gold transactions instead of implementing a system that can cut down on the man-hour investment for this sort of thing? Gold/crown scams have to be one of the most frequently talked about things that involve customer service from what I hear from other players in-game.

I mean go ahead and misinterpret what I said. I never said that ZOS didn't want players to do the event. You implied that on your own. Look participating in events is optional no one is forcing you to do it. I understand your looking for options and I agree with that. But also understand that not every player can participate in every single event and get every single ticket. It helps that there are too many of these things given how restricted they are to obtain and store. If can't stockpile them the next best thing is to over supply them. Just a few years back players were complaining that there wasn't enough tickets per event. Well... here we are.

I'm pretty sure the person who said they couldn't buy any more pet fragments was saying that they had already bought all of the pet fragments before this event, hence they cannot buy any more until after they've merged the fragments into a new pet, which will be the pet they will keep after morphing their current pet into the furnishing.

They did not mean that the pet fragments are no longer available if you haven't already bought them. The pet fragments are definitely all still available for purchase during this event. I know this, as one of the first things I did was check the Impresario to see what's available for purchase so I could write up a detailed list of my ticket counts (on two servers) for each day of the event, which days I'd need to spend tickets on, and which items I'd want to spend those tickets on.

For instance, I know that (assuming I don't miss any tickets) I can buy the 3rd furnishing fragment, the 3rd pet fragment, the 6 new style pages, 4 group repair kits, and still have 9 tickets to carry over to the next event. Or I could buy those companion vouchers, except I'm less interested in those than in the group repair kits. Or I could buy only 3 repair kits and have 11 tickets carried over to the next event, except I don't like being so close to the limit because I did that once and forgot to immediately spend my tickets on the first day of the next event, thus "losing" tickets because I did whatever it was that granted tickets for the new event before remembering that I needed to spend 10 tickets from the old event first.

No, we don't. However, most events don't really have any dependency upon whether or not new content is released and how frequently, so there's no reason to suspect that any planned changes will have much if any impact on events or event tickets.

I was hoping they'd bring those Frostbane Pets back that they had for New Life one year, back before they were giving out event tickets. That would have given me something to spend them on that I actually wanted.

But now I'm 1 day in and have absolutely everything from this year (and all previous event years I might add). Once I'm back up to 12 there's no reason for me to keep participating anymore.

Maybe @ZOS could make next New Year events to have all items from the current and previous years for sale in the impresario? Perhaps this way you may have something to buy and for me to complete (since I returned after 2 years and have much to catch up).

This, IMO. I have played ever since console release, so I have all the Indriks and stuff from yesteryear bags. The only thing new for me are the style pages. I came into the event with 12/12 tickets, so I now have the hourglass, and I had already lined up the three fragments to recreate the dragon pet to keep now that all morphs are done.

My remaining earned tickets will either be spent collecting style pages if I don't get the drops, the companion commendations as I do not have all my companions maxed out on Undaunted/Mages/Fighters guild skill lines so why not, and beyond that the group repair kits are nice to have when I do dungeons with my friends.

I do agree it would be nice to have a variety of furnishing options to spend tickets on. I would have liked Witches Festival to go on a little bit longer, for example, simply because I definitely would have spent more excess tickets on more spider web cones and ruby candlefly gatherings!

At times like this, the best option is to buy all of the new style pages with tickets, then sell, trade, or give away any of the new style pages that you find while looting since those will not be bound. Any excess tickets remaining after that can be spent on those group repair kits or anything else that's on offer.

Also, don't forget to buy all of the fragments for the morphable pet so you can assemble them into another copy of the pet after you've morphed your previous copy of the pet into the furnishing.

I'm there now needing to collect the next morphable pet. I do agree with the OP all the event tickets have about the same thing, a pet option, motifs, companion skills and repair stuff. While nice to have a little VARIETY would be nice once in a while from the impresario. If not furnishing plans then anything than the same old same old. Maybe some unique stuff like potions that fill your ultimate all the way, or wayshrine tokens that allow you to port for free(yes I know you can travel to a guildy but you can't pick the actual wayshrine just the zone), things like that.
