New werewolf player model/skins

Even class themed skins for werewolf Players would be awesome. Zombie or skeleton wolf for necro, some sorta shadowy or blacked furred wolf with red eyes for nightblade, and so on. Game is lacking on class identity alot as is. For werewolves there's even less identity and lack of customization where as a vampire can use the full selection of customization available to base model characters(excluding the depressing scion form of course). Necro's Goliath form has race specific appearance for khajiit, argonian, and man/mer but neither of the other transformation have such things which seems kind of lacking with the gods know how many indriik reskins let alone all the other copy paste mounts, skins and polymorphs. There's even the werewolf behemoth which has player animations since you turn into one if one dungeon. imo that would be a fantastic morph to show off a different shape for a zerker wolf at a distance, albiet it would have to stay around the same general size as the base zerker form but still it would make picking the zerker morph more worthwile

In my humble opinion, we are long over due for an updated look to our wolf-folk. Honestly we could use a visual overhaul for a lot of our skills, pets, skins, etc, especially considering how flashy the new class is. So the tech is there. It makes even more sense considering how flashy these new crown store mounts can get. They could allocate some funds they are clearly making from the cash shop and make the skins happen.

Player models need a revamp in general, hope it happens when they do away with old gen console support. Throw an updated vampire look while at it, oh, and wings for scion...

There are a couple of Skyrim mods for WW female model, so I guess it would be similar. Aside from "obvious" breast part, depending on what visual mod you use, you can have just different, more narrower waist & a softer head & jawline. It looks female enough, even without breast part.

Yeah I remember using one back in like 2013. It basically just keeps the waist:hips:shoulders ratio - I think it had some breasts as well, but those could be easily omitted for ESO to still be recongizably female.

In fact, maybe there's a way to just keep the proportions we set for our characters during char creation in our werewolf form? Maybe even the hair color? That would be fantastic.

By the Divines no, werebeasts don't need sexual dimorphism. They are forms granted from daedric possession to be great hunters. Their sex (nor race) has no part in it.

Because some of us don't like our female werewolves (like this one) to instantly grow male appendages upon transformation?

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ that doesn't look like a male appendage to me. Probably is supposed to be some fur, or some other wonkiness that model have. It need some more polygons and better textures. They could just smooth that bit out.

If I recall correctly, ESO is the first Elder Scrolls game to feature more than just one fur color for werewolves. I do believe that this is a step in the right direction for the series, as it can make notable werewolf characters visually distinct and easier to remember.

As for player customization, I think that there should be more options, if only to encourage groups of player werewolves to not look visually identical.

Furthermore, I think werewolf "polymorphs" to give your werewolf form a more masculine or more feminine appearance should not be out of the question. If it's optional, then players have some degree of control over how their characters look.

For those curious, this is what a Pack Leader werewolf would look like if it was given the brown fur from the unmorphed Werewolf Transformation:

ZOS wouldn't have to do much to give us cosmetic werewolf skins that we can apply to our werewolf form. The technology to do it is in the game right now.

Yeah wardens can change the color of their bear pet with owning the Morrowind collectors edition, so it wouldn't be hard to implement it for werewolves.

Indeed. I’d love a model that has less of the wrinkly skin and looks a bit more wolfy. Picking colors, and adding markings would be great too.

Look how cool they use to look, the smoke effect during the transformation, the blood staying on the muzzle, so many cool things that have gotten taken away. Please give us some of these features back https://youtu.be/RQjtba05pDo

No offense, but the transformation on the video looks awful. First off why would there be smoke effect during the transformation? Of all the werewolf movies I've seen... not one had smoke effect during transformation.... unless it's cold outside, and the only smoke that was coming out was from the mouth area. also on the video... I could barely see the eyes... did the werewolf have no eyes? If it was red... I could barely see it.

Pack Leader has nice group support benefits, but it's currently in a state where it can't effectively play the role of a tank despite being designed to be the tank/support werewolf spec.

At the very least, I think Feral Pounce should apply a taunt. It still won't compare to a sword and board or ice staff tank, though.

While playing through the story of The Feral Gallery in Apocrypha, I encountered this werewolf in one of the exhibits that was given the "undead werewolf" skin, notably used by Faolchu the Reborn. Not only that, it just occurred to me that rather than just being a simple texture swap, this is an entirely different mesh — notice how the area where the nose would be is completely missing when seen from a side view.
    e9e2i2l37713.png

This would be a cool use of a polymorph for our werewolf form. While I would like to have more control over the fur color of my werewolf form, I think that having mesh swaps like this one would also help grant us Werewolf players some form of customization and character expression.

Here is a brief overview of the evolution of the werewolf's appearance in The Elder Scrolls:

    fxd0m6kek0x0.png

One feature that has remained consistent throughout the series' lifetime is the fact that werewolves have fur on their backs that sticks up. Typically this is achieved through the use of some sort of fur texture with transparency. ESO's werewolves used to have this same detail, but here is what ESO's werewolf player model looks like nowadays:

    7uhyd5tqsdn8.png

Why did the player werewolf model specifically lose that detail? Keep in mind, the "undead" werewolf model still has more fur on the mane than the living werewolves do, as seen here:

    e9e2i2l37713.png

ZOS should give the standard werewolf model another art pass. It falls out of line compared to the other werewolf models in the game, and in the franchise as a whole. Even the unused werewolf model on the PSP system had that detail.

We should have the ability to customize our werewolf form.

Werewolf form character customizations. Like changing the fur color, pattern color, body type, face shape, ears, tail, eye color, mane style, mane color, markings, and adornments. Also to give werewolves the optional ability to wear costumes and hats.

(2 items) Adds 1206 Max Health
(3 items) Adds 4% Healing Taken
(4 items) Adds 4% Healing Taken
(5 items) When you deal direct damage with a Charge, Leap, Teleport or Pull ability, you gain 3642 Physical and Spell Resistance and taunt the enemy to attack you for 15 seconds.-

With this set and another one geared for survival, coupled with the pounce morph with an AOE effect on it a werewolf could easily become viable as a tank. Able to taunt packs of mobs with a press of a button. I have a pure ww tank and I get a lot of whispers once I transform and start tanking. Once we get past the first boss those worries are laid to rest. Usually at the end of a successful run I get all kinds of whispers asking me my build. I’ve tanked just about every dlc/non dlc vet dungeon there is.

You've done it with bad players then, I did a guide on this nearly 2 years ago. WW as tank is very viable.
