@galaneaeb17_ESO Have you tried updating the patcher again? Just looking to confirm this before relaying this info to the team.
@Notamous and @StabbityDoom , could you both get me a new copy of your host developer log? Trying to see if we can see any differences here since one of you had an error and the other didn't.
This is the help article to access the folder: https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/25196/

I can access the folder, but I don't see an option available here to DM it to you.

I believe Notamous does not have the option to send DMs unlocked, the same was for me when I wanted to DM launcher.settings

So you guys don't get this when you go to his profile (click on his picture)?

No, I don't.
My bad, weird.

THIS time (despite having done this many times before) it ran the large update, and I am able to log in (ONLY on Zeni, NOT my steam account)
Things might have helped - I closed steam entirely.
I reinstalled the whole game, although it didn't fix steam, it MAY have fixed zeni
and third, I deleted the launcher version file and reran the zeni launcher from the folder.
Steam remains borked, but for those of us with Zeni launchers, this might help!~
@ZOS_Kevin you still want this log file for the zeni launcher? I sent you the steam one

StabbityDoom wrote: »GUYS, try this -- don't use your shortcut. Try going into C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online\Launcher (for regular zeni launcher) and select bethesda.net_launcher.exe
When I use the shortcut to the zeni launcher, it breaks, but when i go directly into the folder, it works

Sadly that didn't work for me

Make sure you have exited steam and try again with this way

Thanks for whatever you did!

I've run the launcher directly from the Steam sub-directory as an Admin even and it still doesn't work. I've deleted the entire Launcher folder and copied a fresh one from my account page under Download Game, and still crickets.
I then went into "heck with this" mode and am installing a fresh version the game onto my E-drive (non-Steam), and that Launcher works flawlessly and is currently downloading a new installation of the game. It's at 18% so the jury is still out if it'll actually complete successfully but so far the Launcher is doing its job at least.
I compared the two Launcher folders and they seem identical except the vcredist_x86.exe date for the borked version is 3/8/2022 while the vcredist_86.exe date for the (currently still) working version is 10/27/2022. So maybe that's helpful?

Update: Still stuck at Checking invalid game files. I've copied the entire Launcher directory over from the fresh install and the problem persists. It still also makes zero difference running the launcher directly from the directory.
