I believe Notamous does not have the option to send DMs unlocked, the same was for me when I wanted to DM launcher.settings

I believe it unlocks after a certain number of messages, it was my first or second time writing on forums when I get this issue yesterday

I'm still experiencing this issue.

On Steam, PC/NA, Windows 10.

I DO have a 2nd account that's not Steam so the eso64.exe worked for me yesterday but today does not.

I have:

Deleted the Launcher folder
Re-downloaded the Installer
Disabled Windows Defender
Run the Launcher as Admin

It does not update.

The Bethesda.net_Launcher.exe Date modified remains at 9/27/2022, and it somehow cannot/will not find an updated launcher version anywhere.

Still stuck on Checking for Invalid Gamefiles.

Can no longer run eso64.exe since it states that the Launcher is out of date, but I cannot update the Launcher so I'm completely unable to log in now.

OK I have an update! so after running the Zenimax launcher and letting it go through the invalid files thing, I closed it, deleted the version file again, and then ran it again. THIS time (despite having done this many times before) it ran the large update, and I am able to log in (ONLY on Zeni, NOT my steam account)

Things might have helped - I closed steam entirely.
I reinstalled the whole game, although it didn't fix steam, it MAY have fixed zeni
and third, I deleted the launcher version file and reran the zeni launcher from the folder.

Steam remains borked, but for those of us with Zeni launchers, this might help!~

OMG, after many, many times, I started the launcher again, and it's updating now (a big update I think )

GUYS, try this -- don't use your shortcut. Try going into C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online\Launcher (for regular zeni launcher) and select bethesda.net_launcher.exe

When I use the shortcut to the zeni launcher, it breaks, but when i go directly into the folder, it works

Tried this twice, once by just closing Steam and then after a hard PC restart + closing Steam, still didn't work.

So closing Steam, deleting the launcher version file, updating the launcher, and then launching directly from the launcher folder - bypassing Steam - didn't resolve the problem. Upon updating, the same bug occurred.

So that leaves reinstalling the game. I would very much prefer not to have to do that, LOL. I guess we'll see.

I hope whatever ended up working for me with the zeni launcher helps find a solution, but I still think the problem started last night and whatever caused then, happened them. They had to have changed something (either steam or zeni) then
