Maintenance for the week of December 23:
· [COMPLETE] NA megaservers for maintenance – December 23, 4:00AM EST (9:00 UTC) - 9:00AM EST (14:00 UTC)
· [COMPLETE] EU megaservers for maintenance – December 23, 9:00 UTC (4:00AM EST) - 14:00 UTC (9:00AM EST)

Why change the daily times?

This new change is bad for me especially when the servers go down because it means I wont be able to get back on till after the next reset.

I wish there was enough players for a SEA/*** or OCE server at the very least, for not only better latency (dps falls flat like a pancake during NA peak times) but its own login times.
It is frustrating to sometimes lose a day of login or event due to this and maintenance times. Unless they move maintenance times, this isn't the best login time (the new one) for people ahead of NA/EU in timezone unfortunately.

Lmao they've managed to make the one decent thing for Oceania players trash now too, if NA is going to 10am UTC, because that makes it 8pm AEST. Just like maintenance that always falls during our prime/evening time, now resets are going to be randomly in the middle of the evening instead of 10am in the morning.

It's actually pretty nice resetting at 8pm (it resets at that time est right now). You can not get it that night, come back from work and pick it up, and then wait a couple of hours and grab the next one. I think you're gonna like 8pm. I'm gonna miss it probably.

It might've been be nice for you given you don't also have maintenance happening at that time. Like I said, Australian evening/night time prime time is when maintenance happens every time and with timezones and daylight savings changes there are times when you don't even get a chance to get on after coming home from work because it's already maintenance.

There is already one reset time for daily quests. And endeavors. And event tickets. Daily rewards should share the same reset time as that. Instead of a single unified "daily reset" time, there are now 3 different times. One for NA rewards, one for EU rewards, and one for everything else.

This is a complete mess that makes no sense. Just use the same time for everything, across both servers.

Maybe this paves the way to having maintenances also at different times for each megaserver.

Like 8AM UTC for NA like it is now and 4AM UTC for EU.

    That would be nice.

Once upon a time, EU and NA maintenance were separate. You also had separate clients to download for each server instead of a single unified client as it is now.

A unified maintenance time is a good thing; let's not regress the mistakes of the past.

I 'member. However weighing having to have separate clients vs maintenance occurring always during 'sociable hours', let alone slipping into 'prime time' if anything doesn't go to plan, not so clear what is the best option.

Either way I'd rather they hosted the servers in Azure and did away with this archaic concept of 'planned maintenance downtime' anyway.

Given that they are struggling to source a suitable replacement for the EU servers this would be a great opportunity to look into that.
