New Jabs and Flurry Animations

    I agree. I didn't get why they would even waste time updating it to a worse animation. Perhaps they did it for players that wield hammers? I can't explain it. But it definitely looks awful when wanting to stab someone with dual blades. It doesn't even match the skill's icon anymore. I really hope they change it back to the original stabby animation.

    Jabs are the worst ever never use it again.. what a disconnected feeling and a toxic move on the change..

    I don't think the creators of these new animations have ever played ESO. Not ever. So they just don't care how weird and out of place they are.

    This is the kind of thing that really makes me question what's going on internally at ZOS.

    I cannot see any valid reason to ruin animations and skills long in the game. I’m sure I’m not the only one who choosing skills in part for how they look and feel in combat.

    If they needed to be nerfed (and I’m baffled that anyone thought templars needed a nerf, but anyway), reduce the damage per tick instead of reducing ticks, if that is why the animations “had” to be replaced. Or replace only one morph so players can choose what they like (maybe some will find drunkenly flailing an axe or mace is better than stabby stabbing with it? Idk)

    Has anyone heard anything about these animations being reversed yet? The templar jabs animation is shockingly lore breaking and flailing. I can't imagine that there is no plan to go back to the spear of light as opposed to the flailing nighthollow stave that it is now.

    @ProudMary apparently all we need to do is say the new Templar animation and spear model makes us motion sick and ZoS will immediately change it judging by today's patch.

    I said last September that the new jabs animation's seesaw-like effect made me motion sick and nothin' ever came from it sadly. :( -> this thread

    Hello ZOS,

    The new templar jabs animation is giving me horrible irritable bowel syndrome, after using the skill just a few times I get doubled over with cramps and must run to sit on my toilet for hours until the symptoms subside. Can you please revert back to the old animation, it’s really debilitating.

    I know I am a snobby pc player but man, old Gen console support really handicaps this game in every regard.

    I don't get motion sickness, not even bobbing up and down on a small to medium sized fishing boat in the ocean.

    But these changes to jabs and flurry animations and other U35 changes are why I cancelled my sub, and I'm not alone in having done this. I would have thought ZOS would catch a clue, but apparently they just don't care.

    I don't think Flurry's animation is that bad, I can't think of another way to make this skill's animation make sense when you take into consideration axes and maces. It does look kinda weak though and slow.
    I haven't tried the spear's animation yet but I saw someone use it next to me and I immediately thought "Did he just wag his spear at me?"

    Um I really don't think xbox one and ps4 are rhe cause of them changing the animations of jabs. That doesn't really matter here

    I'd love to see an alternate morph for flurry, probably replacing rapid strikes, where instead of it being a .8 second cast time, it's a channel ability where you hold down the button for the attack, and it lasts until you let go of the button where it then does an ending attack, like this animation.

    I suggested the same thing for Templar a while back with Jabs, where one morph is the same way, holding down the attack skill and then it ends when you let go of the attack skill.

    If there were two skills to test it on, it would be these two.
