Monster Trophy Achievements. 1000 Kills PER DAY until FIXED...

Those drop rates need to be doubled in my opinion, giving those trophies at least 0% (rounded up) chance to drop.

Adding onto this comment, I received 32 Whirling Dynamos from Halls of Fabrication during the multiple TTT runs over the time I have played.

I've been playing since Dec 2015 on a daily basis and so far I've done pretty much everything the game has to offer but I still haven't completed these trophies on my main char. The drop rate has always been atrociously low.

I refuse to grind at one spot for consectutive hours like some players did or still do.

So, I just stopped caring about this long ago.

Same. Grind is only meaningful if there is a reasonable chance of actually getting what you are hunting for. Beyond a certain point it just becomes meaningless; if the drop rate is too low, then the odds are so low that any amount of time grinding becomes irrelevant compared to the chance of getting it. So why bother?

I know you won't have any idea on this but could it be passed along how much of an issue it is trying to get these Trophies to drop? Even with AwA coming, it's not going to help all that much considering how next to impossible it is to get these things. There has to be a mistake with the drop rate, I can't believe the devs would make things that are supposed to be tied to "Common" Dyes so horrendously rare on purpose. People should not have to farm thousands and thousands of mobs over months or even years to get these things.

That doesn't add much, because the dwemer collection is usually the first and most of the time only collection people complete.
A few trophies actually has a higher drop rate, while the others are abysmal.

Shalks in Stonefalls do not drop the trophy (they do? if so, chance is 0.00001%) and it's been like this since, ever.

I got all the monster trophies in like two weeks (once I proposed myself to complete them - I was half way already).

So it's not much of a grind honestly. HONEST word, about two weeks once I proposed myself to finish them.

So, avoid Stonefalls for shalks trophy. I don't remember where I got mine when I found out about shalks in Stonefalls not droping it, but I'm 100% positive I got mine some place else.

Haha! But I haven't been lucky, I just avoided Stonefalls (as I mentioned the trophy doesn't drop there).

Both myself and others in this thread are talking about more than just that one location.

Some people have got it from stonefalls either way.

Example: read all the things in the thread

Example: I killed 300 shelled monsters in fg1 farming today and 100 daedroth in coldharbor. Today.

Example: Thousands of daedroth in a completely different zone and thousands of flesh atros in another.

Zero trophies from those farms.

This is already been talked about above.

You took two weeks? Hour a day or 23 hours a day? Even if it was 23 hours per day for two weeks you got lucky.

People who have tried farming it and passively played for 8 years dont have it.

Also if stonefalls doesn't drop it (it does) it would still mean their drop system is bugged.

I think my character is blessed because I farmed these all out in about a month, only farming a couple hours per day. I do think the monster trophy stuff needs to be updated in some way whether it be better droprates or more incentives or both.

I think something cool would be is turning them into placeable house furnishings that you can buy at a vendor after getting the achievement.

For me it was always the same thing and it still is, and I can tell because I still get several trophies constantly with my alts.

It took me two weeks. Why lie? Farming them (the specific ones I was needing en each category/achievement) for like 2-3-4 hours per day.

And I got ALL of them since like 5 years ago already. Maybe it become buggy after that, but as I just said, I keep getting trophies all the time with my alts (and I use my alts just for dailies, events and so).

By the way, I'd like to see a video of ANYONE killing thousands of trolls (or whatever add). Thousands? Any idea that amount is? Thousands as mentioned above? I'm positive you know. Still, seeing someone killing thousands AND thousands (meaning at least 2k plus of the same adds) would be nice. Otherwise, people tend to exaggerate numbers. To me? It just took me hundreds of kills per type of trophy, some of them less. I can assure you NONE of the trophies took me one thousand kills, not even 500 kills. None of them.

I'm sorry, but FOR ME, no video or proof it's just words and exaggerating numbers. Who kepts 1.5k of ectoplasm in their inventory when ectoplasm doesn't even go to craft bag? And they only stack to 200, right? And 1.5k didn't take all the inventory of your character?

Still, at the same time, you nevertheless got blessed as you said to complete the achievement in about a month, when others here said took years of farming. It took me about a month too, maybe less.

Don't bother trying to explain. 8/10 people are saying they have done x y or z and not got the drop and they say it's the opposite of what 8/10 people say. The only other person with them also said it was a hardcore grind as explained by the 8/10 but they had the mental fortified to push through it.

Based off of how almost every other player has not been as lucky as you

Just like you are not telling a lie (I'm sure it did only take you 4x14 hours to get the last half you needed. 56 hours farming for half of them is still fast). However other people are also not telling lies. They are killing thousands and getting nothing.

Yes everyone here is totally making up their grind hours. Everyone's experience is exactly like yours. I played the lotto one time in my life (it's a waste of money) and I won $2000 (real story). I now know every other person who has ever played the lotto has won $2000. To this day I don't know how the lotto makes a profit.

Jokes aside. You got lucky. Most people don't. Things need to be fixed or changed.

I had a guildie farm harpies for the feather and they kept count by soul gems. Think they were at around 2,000 killed harpies when it finally dropped.
The drop rate should not be that low for a common achievment. And they have killed many harpies before that of course, this was a deliberate farm for it.

I killed thousands of mudcrabs for that trophy.

Some people are lucky, some trophies do also have a higher chance of dropping than other ones, but don't go saying people are exaggerating. Many of these trophies have utterly and completely horrible drop chance.

Will add my anecdotal experience also. Had 70-80% of trophies from just playing the game (including all the dungeons and trials) actively for some years and decided to finish some months ago, every of them took like from tens of minutes to couple of evenings but alit, big cat ones and jackal took me the most by miles. This Alit spot in greenshade I was farming for months, hour upon hour with zero results before getting one like 3-4 weeks ago, the same day I've got another one in elden hollow by chance. Then went for jackal and got it in like half an hour. All it tells me is eso is heavily rng based, a lot less now overall but still it's more aimed against the farm but more of "you'll get it one day so don't bother to hurry".

Definitely there are some paces like hof, dsa and couple others with really big chances for some of them but for some unlucky ones it takes years for same pieces that dropped for me there almost every run.

Last year at some point I went through all my characters and looked at the progress on these. I found one achievement that on one character I was only missing one drop on (the clannfear drop). Went to an area with a lot of clannfear and started farming. After a few hours over the course of a week, I decided that farming the trophies was so tedious that I basically gave up on all of the achievements. I think I only have the dwemer one; with awa going live on Monday I might get one or two more. Rates are far too low for this to be something I'll spend time on.

In case someone hasn't mentioned it, it used to be WAY worse. Back when we still had Veteran Ranks any zone that was not lvl 50 or higher would drop NOTHING. So if a mob spawned often in your starting zone, well forget about getting it after you maxed out your level. For example Netches, Nix Hounds and Kaguiti are common in EP but then as a max leveled EP character you would have to farm DSA for all 3 of them. There was one spot in coldharbor for the netches but there were not a lot of them and spawn timer sucked. But I did eventually get them all. It was hell though.

I had a few sticklers on this achievement, mainly Wamasu, Beetles, Daedric Spiders, and Ice Wraiths, but I did finish them on one character - as did one of my officers who was after the same thing. There were many nights it felt unfair and stupidly RNG gated but I can confirm they all do drop and do exist. The reward for it was more of a "look how insane I am" than anything else, but hey.. I just wanted all the dyes :P

You used to be able to swap them between characters too though. So if you got a particular piece on an alt you could trade it over to your main.

I got my master fishing achievement prior to the green cp and fishing food. It's far far easier and faster now. Im happy master fisher is a more reasonable time for others even though I did it back when it was more slow.
