[snip] You can't list a multitude of things players like and Poll for the One thing they Like.

People don't usually play games for One Single reason and then hate everything else about the game. Players play games because there are a number of aspects that are enjoyable for them. And its the combination of things that appeals to them.

Questing and Exploration for me in all honesty. I enjoy other aspects too, such as PvP but ESO isn't my go to game for some of those other aspects.

I will agree with those above that questing probably would be the forerunner if it was on the list, but still surprised how few are choosing dungeons, where ZOS puts a rather good portion of their time in developing and marketing.

Yeah, weird that "questing" is not on the list of choices, I still think it is remarkable to see housing and pvp as the two clear winners so far.

Wow, pvp is extending its lead, crazy. Housing still around 25%. Seems kind of weird since pvp barely gets any new content while we get new dungeons with every expansion that according to this poll are one of the least popular aspects of the game.

Questing, interest in almost everything else on the list changes depending on my mood (right now I’m into working on my Doomchar house, next week it will be getting dailies ready for the upcoming event that starts Jan. 20th), oh, and theory crafting with sets. 🧙‍♂️

Housing seems to be pretty popular, what do people like about it? All you can really do is buy items from the crown store or craft furniture and decorate right? What is the draw/attraction that puts this gaming activity over everything else in the game outside of pvp in terms of popularity?

It is probably a good thing questing was left off, as it is more of a newer player activity, and this way the choices more clearly reflect what someone who has been around a while ended up preferring to do with their time.

I put housing, but you missed the one I'd put first if possible: general questing. Not area dailies, general quests. I've done them all on 2 characters and am working on doing them again with other characters.

Fair point, but what about zone dailies? Guess it could kind of count as questing and I know some people like to do that.

If you're not average you must be above average congrats but me im an average player that can do most things in the game. Theres a portion i cant of course and thats fine ive accepted that, but im still having fun and was keen on finding out what the consensus was with other average players 😀. As for my opinion on questing i regard it as entry level content but thats just my opinion i dont have anything against folks who do this for fun 😁

For me it's a creative outlet. I can take an empty house and turn it into my own, much the same way an artist takes a blank canvas and fills it with their vision. Or how a writer tells a story with words, I tell my characters story with their home and how they live.

I'm also doing my first ever from the ground up build in Doomchar, with a big castle and some outbuildings so far, and feel a great sense of accomplishment seeing my vision come together.

You can get very creative with housing. You can build entirely new structures or just try to tell a story with your house, or yeah, there's also satisfaction in interior decorating. Housing allows people to let their imagination shape the game world and no two houses are exactly alike.

    Edit

Also questing and overland/exploratiobwas omitted, which developers have stated is the most used content in the game. So it's not really a surprise that the most used content outside of that are the two of the most popular activities that people can do just login and jump into imo.

    PvP.

The feeling of fighting actual players is just exhilarating. Plus, every encounter is never the same like a scripted boss fight.

    Housing is a close second.

Yeah, would have been good if the poll including questing/exploration. Those are two activities that are almost by necessity used a lot because of how the game is structured, but it would be good to get a sense of where players rate them in terms of "enjoyment."

I know its a forum poll and doesn't mean anything really... but I am seriously surprised at how much the numbers don't line up with ZOS's focuses. I would have thought that dungeons would have accounted for much more and PVP way less than what is showing. No surprise to see housing at the top though. I guess all those folks doing dungeons are there for the rewards, but aren't really enjoying it as much as they enjoy other activities.

I am happy to see PvP get some love but I think this is a result of the way the poll was set up over anything else. PvP isn't split up with choices... some options might have been dueling, large battles in Cyro, small stealth teams in Cyro, Battlegrounds, noCp PvP, Imperial City. Grouping all the PvP choices together not only groups all the "average" players who like PvP best together but is something end game PvP'ers might choose as well.

OP, you seem to mean well but the whole idea of there being an "us" is maybe a little flawed. I will use myself as an example. I like the harder content but also enjoy many of the options listed. I have 2 - 3 play sessions a week and consider myself an average player compared to streamers, content creators, and raiders who are score pushing. I think it is incorrect to assume people are either new players, average, or advanced folks who only enjoy the most difficult content. The reality is way more nuanced.
