Why so little love for this zone, Murkmire also, if I'm trying to do boss daily;s I have to leave, and come back several times to find people.
Meanwhile Summerset is always popin' regardless of what time

It ebbs and flows...for a while it was really busy, but lately not so much.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

this is true. While doing the quest line, I watched for a week that not one of my guildmates from my five guilds was in the Clockwork City.

The zone is depressing and content wise it is kind of shallow compared to Wrothgar for example. Murkmire is the same problem. If not for BRP, I don't think anyone would go there.

Clockwork City could benefit from the following:

    - We need a 4 person Group Dungeon
    - A staple home buyable with gold located in Slag Town

It doesn't have the popular sets, no interesting Antiquity leads I'm aware of, is kind of ugly, and isn't even on the main world map.

Story is great, but that's all.

I used to go to CWC regularly for the daily WB and delve quests to get the Ebonshadow and Apostle motifs. However, I managed to collect all of those during the event a few months ago so I don’t go there regularly anymore. Could be that this is the case for more people.

The only thing overland there has to offer is the motifs and those are all pretty cheap. People still do AS, but since it's instanced you don't see them.

They should add some Clockwork structural furniture to the dailies, and add Crafting writs to here and all the other dlc zones. Then you'd see more activity.

The quests were repetitive fetch quests, the terrain is annoying to traverse, there's no gear worth farming there for any reason, etc, etc, etc.

The main quest is pretty good and give lots of skill points.
The rest of the zone don't offer much outside the trial.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I especially dislike that mobs in Clockwork city almost never drop any loot. Recently they started dropping loot a little more often, but it's still not enough to be satisfied. So there is no point in exploring the zone for me :/

For the summerset thing: it might be because the dailies give culanda lacquers which are always popular because of the alinor furnishings. Plus, a lot of people do writs there so might decide to go help when a zone call out happens.

I really like the idea, and it can be beautiful - for a while.

After spending some time there, it becomes increasingly unsettling and disturbing in a very subtle way. It's the Uncanny Valley done on purpose.
So I leave to go somewhere else, where the kagouti don't make robot noises, where the trees don't have a metallic glimmer, where the water splashes instead of making an oily "plum!" sound, where there is no clockwork in the sky.

Unfortunately, there aren't many reasons to come back regularly.

Same here. Once I got all the motifs and got sticker book filled with all the sets, I never go there unless there is an event or to use the transmute machine.

My advice to you is to create a character that can solo those world boss’s. I did. And now I can just do it solo, made even more doable with companions.

Well put, although those are among the things I love about it  I even bought the house there for my Tonal Architect character; I wish it were livelier, although I did manage to find people for the bosses reasonably quickly.

Story us great but that's all?? Ehm, are we playing the same game? :-D

I play mostly for the stories, when doing areas, and CC is one of my favorites. Love that area a lot, and is thus far the only area I have done (or planning to do) with all my alts.

But tastes differ, and to each his or her own, I guess. :-)

True, writs stations and bank seem quite ok, so house in the center of the Brass Fortress would surely encourage people to transfer some of their alts there.

Plus maybe some new sets or motifs - I mean this is the Clockwork City, the marvelous creation of Sotha Sil, in constant development... Surely game could reflect that with some new additional stuff :p

Clockwork is kind of a niche style; it's not High Fantasy like many other areas of the game, but rather Steam Punk. Because of that clash, a lot of people might not like it as much.

Also didn't we have a Clockwork event earlier this year? Many people might still be "burned out" from it.

For me personally? I tend to avoid it because it has a very depressing atmosphere. That's not to say that it's bad, I just can't handle it at this point in time.

I really enjoyed the CWC story. Outside of doing the quest line though the zone holds no appeal, and no valuable rewards. It’s a one-and-done for me outside of events. Too bad, because it was one of the last content releases that Zeni really put effort into lore and dialogue.

I visit every once in a while but that zone feels more like a maze than all the other zones. Seems any time I need to be somewhere the location is at the top of a cliff and I have to go across most the zone just to find the path up.

It is not just the Clockwork City which could do with some more player homes, Murkmire and Hew's Bane could do with some more as well, compare them to the Gold Coast which despite being a small zone has 3 player homes, for comparison the Reach only has 1 player home, I reckon every zone should have 1 buyable staple home at the least.

With the Clockwork City if we want to live there our only choice is a big metal fortress on the far end of the map, we have no option to live in the Brass Fortress, if we want to live in Murkmire our only option is an isolated Xanmeer in the middle of nowhere, we cannot choose to live in Lilmoth or even Bright-Throat Village, if we want to live in Hew's Bane we need to buy a palace, we need more options.

A big reason is the events making the loot from there oversaturated. Nobody is doing the dailies there because everyone already got the motifs from the last event and the people who don't can buy them for cheap at the store.
This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.
