Did ZOS just buff Crimson?

Look I don't want to be that guy that complains about sets that are easy to deal with if you know what you're doing.

But does the damage from Crimson seriously now scale off max health? This is one of the main sets that lead to the nerfing of proc sets precisely for the reason that you could do a ton of damage with it and people wearing it couldn't die. This seems like a very questionable decision. I can only imagine the amount of cancerous builds you can make with this.

I think you need 38k health to get back to the base stats. So yes and no. In the case of 60k+ hp tanks in pvp... well... maybe is wont scale to far... hopefully :(

    50k health stamdens.
    100k health stamcros.

    With Crimson.

    PvP.

    Great.
No improvement on Cyrodill servers -> no ESO plus renewal.

Imagine you would run Crimson backbar, Leeching frontbar, Harvester monster set, Malacath and 50k+ health on the top.
Your opponent gets three proccs (which all scale with your max. health) while you don't do anything...except bar swap and maybe blocking.

What kind of play style should that be?

One of the worst types of player in Cyrodiil was werewolfs in Crimson. Werewolfs like to run high health builds anyway.

I'm not against having the set scale of health but you need to nerf something else about it if you want to improve balance- a weaker heal or a longer cool down I guess.

If it were the heal that scales off health I wouldn't have a problem with it. It's the fact that it's the damage

wonder if they could split the scaling somehow?

The heal part scales off health and the damage scales off weap/spell power. though that would likely involve changing the proc all together.

Yeah, let's just make damage from offensive stats scale literally everything in the game. What did people seriously expect? Stamina already dictates how much damage/healing/shielding on skills, rolling, blocking, sprinting, breaking free, and now healing from procs that players do, people seriously thought they could just stack one stat and get the rest for free. That's exactly the same mentality that got us into this issue with procs in the first place. Crimson never should have scaled from the beginning, but if it must scale off something, it definitely shouldn't be the same stat that people use for everything else.

Now with existing hp buff to hit 39k is easy. Poeople can double and triple that number and they will. Ball groups are crying from happiness. We will see a lot of annoying and unkillable ball groups with 60+ health and crimson.

But what will a 60k HP Crimson tank do? In CP he will do nothing when ppl use their brain and either ignore or burst him down since also HP regen is no more.im noCP He will die even faster. Crimson is every 8 seconds, enough time to stun and kill him. Especially with that insane damage income since CP rework.

Look I've been maining a wolf for 4 plus years. I never got Crimson but even without it I was pretty brutal in a zerg v zerg situation. You get behind the dps, find the healers, fear them as much as you can and just wail on them with your mediocre damage.

Crimson is absolute ***, it needs be nerfed hard. And this isn't gonna cut it.

Ball groups have 2 to 4 healers. If we talk about damage, then realise fact that in ball groups they will have sets that hit 3x harder than before. Ofc will test on PTS, but reality is. In Cyrodill there are only 2 annoying things, lag and ball groups. These is buff for ball groups. New changes will be good for unkillable tanks that still hit hard, no problem with that, but troll groups will be anyoing.
And we can't talk much about insane damage rework, becouse we had only 12 or so sets in cyrodill since CP 2.0. Nobody have had good test with damage reduction sets and other things.

I don't think ball groups will use this. It's too inflexible for the combat they engage in. Now the resource farming troll groups, they're going to have a field day with this.

When the build editor updates I'm going to see what kind of damage I can get out of this.

I'm not sure if you were being tongue and cheek but by clown costume I was referring to necro or vamp ult. Though yes the jester outfit and personality would give it a bit of a flair.

Who is doing a "ton of damage" with Crimson? It's 8k damage every 8 secs BEFORE battle spirit and mitigation. Do we even know if sets can scale past their current maximun yet?
It's merely baffling to me why anyone in the dev team thought this was a reasonable idea.

It's a tank set, so of course it should scale with the stats tanks build for. Nothing baffling about it at all.

Crimson damage scales with max health, crimson heal scales with it's own damage...it takes 38k to get to original Crimson numbers, and I'm very curious to see what a 100k+ clown form necro hits for.
The problem isn't one person using something like this, it's groups of them (not ballgroups).

From the patch notes, it hits the normal damage mark around 38k and it's indicated that we can scale it up beyond that. Now, how much it's going to scale hasn't been revealed yet and my feeling is that it will be nerfed. But seeing that we can get literally more than double the normal damage health in clown costume it's likely going to be a ton of damage.

Crimson is nominally a tank set. The only place I've seen it used is as a damage set in PVP.
