Are you saying it's not easier to earn 250 million gold than it is to earn billions of gold which it would take to level up to CP3600 with Master Writs?

Did I say that? No. Did I imply that? Also no.

There are plenty of other ways to get a chunk of XP in this game that isn't doing Master Writs that you mightn't even have the skills to do. I mean, you yourself literally said you got to where you are by doing pledges and BGs, etc. They also don't get you a bunch of gold to get to 250 million to buy a title (on PC only, because I guarantee almost and more likely no one is buying a GS title on console for only 250 million).

Such as? I'm sorry but Master Writs are the fastest way to level in this game, no question. I really don't see what you're trying to tell here. Do you want to level slower? Be my guest.

Yes, I mostly do pledges & BGs right now - I don't see how that's relevant to anything. I also do writs on 18 characters and a bunch of trading as side activities, what is your point exactly?

On PC/EU plenty of people are buying carry runs, I know people selling those runs & have a pretty good idea how it works - I spent 15m gold (really unlucky with drops, a normal loot run was around 3m gold back then), myself on vAA runs just to get Perfected Asylum SnB & Inferno for PvP builds few years ago.

You underestimate the amount of effort people put into this game, 250m is peanuts for a lot of people.

Again this kinda demonstrates the whole perception difference when it comes to these things between different segments of the player base. Someone at low CP, far away from 3600 might think the grind is too much, while others closer to the 3600 see it as "just right" at the moment.

Okay and how does someone who doesn't have all the motifs known and everything researched do Master Writs? Right, they don't. They do many of the other things you can do in the game to get chunks of XP. I also didn't say that these other things give you the same amount of XP as doing Master Writs or that people "want" to level slower. I don't appreciate you putting words into my mouth that I absolutely didn't - and you know I didn't - say.

You said you got to where you were doing pledges and BGs. And that was what I was saying. People not doing Master Writs because they can't - because no one is magically able to do all Master Writs in the game without knowing motifs or research or without the mats - will do pledges, random normals/vet and BGs to get XP. And thus level their CP to so-called """""""""prestige""""""""""" levels.

Grinding XP for some arbitrary number is not the most prestigious thing you can show off in the game when it means literally nothing apart from you've earned x amount of XP doing literally anything, because doing literally anything in the game earns you XP.

Why don't you just buy all the motifs & research everything? If you don't want to wait for the research you can buy the crown store thingies... really don't see the issue here.

Is this another one of those "I don't want to go through same effort as other people" moments?

Yes, literally anything you do in the game earns you XP. Almost anything you do in the game also earns you gold, which you can spend on the titles you want (or, like I do: buy crowns with the gold & get literally everything from the crown store).

Congratulations, you've figured the game out.

Again, with the just putting words we both know I absolutely didn't say into my mouth.

I don't even know how you made the massive reach from "people might not know motifs or have things researched so they can't do Master Writs" to "you (as in me, who btw has one GMC and another well on the way) are just lazy". I'm not even going to touch you saying people should spend real life money to speed up researching, when you think buying title carries is trash. Yikes.

Anyway, I'm going to stop now because I know when I'm wasting my time and you really seem to only be interested in getting in the last word. :)

Dunno what's with the cp obsession alot of people have. For pvp sure but all pve content can be done with 0 cp next patch. Devs supposedly cleared HMs lol.
It's hard to get groups on pts so I tested solo arenas. Did vMA with 0 cp assigned and got flawless on 1st try with magden, no cheese sorc, or any tanky build. Also cleared vVH, had 2 deaths tho. Then assigned 810cp and got trifecta.
Also did some parsing. Lost 15% of dps from current live. Then removed cp and lost another 15%. I was only able to test with 810cp but theres only about 5% to gain past that. So someone with only 300cp should theoretically be only 10% behind 3000cp lmao. Happy grinding bois if that 10% breaks your game.

For most its less obsession and more analysis of the situation. You shown that you dont need the CP system to be successful, but you are also an experienced player. For those with less skill and less experience it might be different. Additionally its a new way the system works so everyone tries to get it into a way that they can progress it. Not everyone wants to grind to make progress there. You also have to keep in mind that testing it versus current content does not say anything about how it will impact future balance updates. Especially for the latter one my experience is that the max level of things is sooner or later incorporated when creating new content.
