I will not accept a grind for months to get back to where I am now.
No one should accept this blatant disrespectful move to a person's time.
Grinding xp to be competitive isn't generally what most people consider fun.
    Even 810 kept people away.
    This is just ludicrous.
I will speak on this disrespectful move until I inevitably quit with most people who refuse to have their time and effort dismissed.
    This isn't progression.
It's a regression then catch up.
NO, xp grinds are not fun, not necessarily.

The worst is that the diminishing returns are gone. The gap between max CP (1700~) to 600 CP is huge

PVPers worst nightmare... Even the gap between 1700 and 2200, for example is huge. If relatively evenly matched, the 1700 will never win because if they take all damage related CP as the 1700, they miss SO much mitigation and healing compared to the 2200. Guess the person whose spent 10 hours a day for the past year grinding CP is ready to have fun (at everyone else's expense!

thats what putting in the time should do ive always hated this way of thinking, new players or players that dont play often should be below them that put in the time its an mmo not an fps we aint all the same nor should we

I agree with this. I know a lot of other players don't, but in a mmo time spent has value in itself. Yes, it allows bad players to fail upwards, but newest players not having to put any time in and having all of the advantages players who have put years into their characters is atypical for any mmo.

Apologies guys I was totally wrong about how many points you will need to be at full power.

What I have realised is you really don't need to unlock everything and am actually more excited than before. In terms of build craft this amazing for variety. For pve end gamers I can see this as a little more frustrating.

I can't wait to try this!

Took me a while to realize this took. The increase to base stats plus the new 15% mitigation is significant. Basically makes investing in mitigation CP optional.

Anyone wanna talk about how in this new CP system you need close to 900 points in the blue tree to be the strongest you can for CP enabled PVP? And also how you need about 550 points to have all the DPS related passives available for PVE, excluding any blue tree mitigation or healing passives?

My mind is blown right now, especially with the past actions of ZOS towards trying to make CP "new player friendly" with implementing diminishing returns, etc.

Also, here's hoping they adjust our CP ranks to match our lifetime XP gain when patch rolls around, if they're changing the CP gain curve. Please don't delete some of our hard earned XP ZOS! Reference: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/559230/update-29-combat-preview#latest

Let me know of your thoughts!

I counted 480 CP to have a full set of passives that enhance magicka DPS -- 280 non-slottable plus 4x50 for one inflexible set of slottables -- but I could easily have missed something.

And even if I did have that many blue CP, I like to do damage, heal and not die, all on the same character, all in the same dungeon or world boss fight.

No really. There are some amazing perks in there.

My take away is that end game pve got nerfed pretty hard, and lose a lot of what they had in CP 1.0 at least until they catch up in CP. PVE is just a flat loss.

To be honest the only value to buildcraft I see in CP2.0 is pvp related. Here is where the choices matter. PVP will launch into a whole new universe of imbalance.

Casual PVE and nocp just got a whole lot easier.

So it is a grind. Meh. MMO's are all about grind. The real question is where am I going to find the exp for 1000+ CP? PVE content gives no meaningful exp. There are a finite number of grind spots and they are overcrowded already. Dailies are. umm, daily. That leaves master writs....should be interesting with regards to the player economy.

What I dislike is that again all points are equally split between the 3 categories. I find the Warfare constellation completely tasteless. It's like - I'm not even gonna click on it. And the Craft has some utility. Some, I can live without. Fitness left me speechless. Not just Strategic Reserve, I like a lot of stuff there. If I could, I'd invest everything I have in that class.

I feel like two thirds of my points are wasted on things I have no intent to invest in.

I am now at about 690 points. And I need about 245 in Fitness to make it interesting. I can make almost 10 points just from the Random Daily Dungeon a day. So 245 x 3 = 735, so let's say in a week I should be able to cover this bare minimum. But who knows what will get nerfed...

Added to all of this, the slots are also equally distributed between the 3 classes, each getting 4 slots, forcing the players to go into the same situation as in the current system. It would be nicer to have less... say 6 slots, but without any distinction between classes. That is, damagers to slot Warfare as much as they want, thieves to slot Craft as much as they want, tanks to slot Fitness as much as they want. Otherwise everyone will slot the same passives, like in the current system.

It would be also interesting to have a single start point. Like the character has in Path of Exile, forcing the player to take long trips in the tree to the juiciest passives. My Shadow character was bent on intelligence (aka magicka), I had to travel to the Witch area to get a lot of juicy passives, while Witch characters actually start right there in that area. Makes far more sense the system from Path of Exile, but I see the new CP system as a step forward.

If you've never seen the Path of Exile tree, give it a try online here. https://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree
It's a totally different approach than just "get them all".

"Is it true her wounds healed on their own ? Yes" No s***, at 75% health regen penalty!

I was a vampire like you, but then I took an idea to the head...
