I never once said to make any of this free. Ideally the barbershop would charge gold. And you keep overlooking the fact that a lot of players would then purchase the cosmetic pack when they find out how much they like being able to change their character's hair, so they could have unlimited free changes like you do now.
Maybe you are upset because you would have chosen to use a barbershop and would not have spent crowns for the cosmetic pack if you had known this would be available in the future. Well all I can say to that is Caveat Emptor - Let the Buyer Beware.
There is no guarantee in any exchange of goods or services... be it gaming, retail stores, hair salons, restaurants... that the price or terms won't change after your purchase. You could buy an expensive item and a month later it goes on sale for half price. That may upset you but it doesn't mean that everyone else now forfeits the right to purchase that item at the sale price.

Gold is free, and everyone knows it so let's cut that argument.. and if you can change that stuff for free, why would you buy packs.? You have no incentive to..

It takes time to earn gold. My time is valuable to me.
In gerenal this game seems designer for players who want to look like terrifying monsters and rotting vampires.
I would rather have a few options for the rainbows and butterflies etc. Like some skins that were beautiful, not horrible.

Gold is as free as it will ever be, as it is a fiction currency.. and the "time is money" quote is kind of moot in this scenario

Actually it's not. So let's put the "gold is free" aside because it doesn't really make any difference in what we are requesting anyway.

It really kinda matter when you want to replace crowns with gold, aka making it free

1. Gold is not free. It has to be worked for in game.
2. Suggestions have been made that not only ensures that the "barber shop" would be paid for with crowns, but it would also create MORE revenue than ZOS currently makes with cosmetic change tokens or whatever they are called.

You can not convince me that it is not free, when it is a fiction currency in a fiction universe.. You don't work for it.. You play a game in your free time.. And the suggestion I comment against, is getting it for gold

1. Just because someone is "playing" a game does not mean that the work being performed in game is "fun" or even desirable. In fact, there are entire industries who employ people to play games to farm to sell those goods for real life money. Is that gold free? No. Is the way the gold obtained any different than the average player. No. Gold is not free, not matter how many times you say it is.
2. And my suggestion was to sell a "barber shop" crafting station for crowns and that when a player uses the barbershop it charges gold. This makes ZOS their precious money on top of money on top of money AND it serves as a gold sink.

To quote another game (that has just made gender-swapping payable with in-game gold at the barbers).
"Time is money, friend".
SilverBride wrote: »In an effort to get this thread back on topic, and to update with additional information that has come to light throughout the discussion, I will summarize below:
Barbershop
- I would like to see a barbershop added that players can use to change their hair styles and colors using ingame gold.
- It has been suggested that there be a Barbershop station added that players can purchase with crowns to accomplish this, and this station would charge ingame gold per use.
- The current style shops would still be valid, and any player could purchase them for the convenience of having unlimited free hair style changes, as it is now.
- The barbershop would only include the basic styles. Specialty styles would still need to be purchased through the crown store.
Hide Shoulders and other Armor options
- I would like the option to hide shoulders, and other armor pieces.
- Since we can currently hide helm, the code to accomplish this already exists.
There are many benefits to these suggestions. Allowing additional customization will increase customer satisfaction. Happy customers stay longer, bring new players to the game, and are more likely to subscribe and purchase additional items and services with crowns.

Otherwise, why wouldn’t you buy the packs that exist now? I thought the point of a barbershop would be it’s being available to players who haven’t bought the packs so they could at least change between basic styles for a fee in gold. Have I misunderstood?
Regarding hiding shoulder and other armor pieces — yes, please, absolutely!!!
