I don't like the concept of a "re-balance" at least in terms of ones that occurred in this game's past.
I would like to see the developers just address significantly under/over-performing skills, passives, and item sets directly and not do any more Holistic re-balances where they swing a bunch of things by a few points.
Magicka Necromancer's class identity in PvP is being the worst and buggiest class the game has ever seen. By a mile. At this point, I'd gladly give up that identity to just be a reskinned copy of a Sorc or something.Disclaimer: PVP perspective
I think the biggest problem is class identity.
It's fine for classes to be really strong in certain areas for example Nightblade is evasive and high single target damage, DKs are tanky with DOTS and Templars have strong class heals and a great class spammable.
The problem with Necro and Warden is that they kinda crap all over the other class identities. Warden's mechanical identity is having access to almost all the buffs if they want them. But they also have better class heals than Templar, especially when we're talking Stamplar vs Stamden. Necro I guess has access to a lot of debuffs? But they also have a defensive ultimate that feels like DK should have instead - or something like it. Also, both classes have delayed burst abilities that are absolutely incredible for PVP. Magsorc and Stamplar has access to this kind of ability but it feels like Magblade should have something similar instead of Warden or Necro.
Necro and Warden don't have any one ability that makes them overbearing. It's the class bloat that does it. They don't have the focused kits that the original 4 have.
Edit for clarity: This isn't a complaint about Necro/Warden by the way. It's a complaint about class balance and identity. I know Wardens and Necros have their own balance issues but I think the whole class identity issue is at the root of problems for all classes.
