This is true but at the end of spending a subsequent amount of money filling their pockets you would like to expect what you set out after surely. The real kick in the nuts is hearing others get it within a few crates.
I have spent well over a £1000 plus in game gold from crown sellers... total of 11k + crown gems! Multiple duplicates of everything and Still no Radiant Apex Senche Rhat darkfang! I feel depressed! It isn’t right...
rant over.
Agree ^ frustrating nonetheless. Harsh lesson learned. Been on the game since day one and this is the only time I have ever gone crazy over something I really really want

Don't rage at the crates or the practice, rage at yourself.
- you chose to spend that money
- you decided not to stop after a lot bad RNG
The simple truth is that by design, these things have low chance and (ultimately) high cost. The only way to beat the system is to not participate in it.

Fixed for ya.
(I'm joking, of course, nobody can tell you what to do with your money)
A trap that a lot of people fall into is thinking that when they haven't gotten a radiant apex in the last 100 crates, it will surely drop soon. Whatever your past crates contained doesn't affect the propability of you getting a radiant apex in the next. You can go FOREVER without getting a radiant apex, no matter how much money you spend.
As seen above, the odds are roughly 0.29% but that doesn't mean you'll actually get 29 after 10 000 crates. You could very well get none and it won't make the next 10 000 crates contain it either.
There is no guarantees for anything.

So say I get one pack of crates, and I get that mount in those crates. Could I gift it over to @Anne13 ?

Oh, yes, people can. [snip] You are free to spend your money as long as it doesn't go into malicious things. As for clown crates, just take a look at how popular they've become, what they do to the consumer and ask yourself how we got into this situation. I'll leave it to you to decide whether they're malicious and if people should be told to not spend money on 'em.

That's going into off-topic territory, but I think that while government (or, okay, whoever holds the power over your community) can prohibit offering and purchasing of certain goods and services, on person-to-person level nobody has that authority. Well, maybe your ma when she gives you some pocket money.
As for predatory tactics - we ourselves are at fault. We make them work.
