Thanks for this. I get so sick of the complaining on here and the anti ZOS. You got people saying they canceled ESO plus (good luck) because of long maintenance and the constant whining about pvp and performance. It's one thing to have issues but to come on here over reacting and ranting like a spoiled entitled kid is ridiculous and tired. It appears many haven't been taught the graces of empathy, courtesy, respect, civility etc that a healthy community needs to thrive. Here's an analogy. Two people walk into Walmart. One is a grouchy me-first person cursing up a storm because they are out of her favorite brand of chips. Another is a nice old lady who kindly asks when they are gonna get more in stock. Who do you think the manager is gonna go out of their way to please.? Kindness matters. Sometimes you have to put down the headset and go outside and do something that serves someone else or something else that matters. Because after all ESO is just a game and it really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. I invest just as much time and money into this game as anyone else but I just can't get upset about any of the issues like others here do. If the game crashes I just reload and carry on. If maintenance goes long I play something else. I don't agree with how the majority of people here express themselves with such rudeness and harshness. I just find it counter productive. I'm all for people giving information about bugs or offering suggestions for improvements but just be civil and realistic about it.

i got the same thing bro. 30sec q for 45min now... i pay eso+ also. i am frustrated also. but this post isnt about server problems. its about pvp changes.
if u wanna nag about server queue i made a rant post about it. this post is meant for sth else

Whoops, sorry! Got carried away with my frustration about the server problems.

Luckily, I don't play PvP, hence there will be no complaining about PvP from me, but I am a bit worried that all those announced AoE-related changes/nerfs eventually will get into PvE, which would be sad.

no need to apologize man.. i dont think it will impact pve. It states only tests for cyrodiil so no need to worry :)

If you dont see that this willhit the PvE side of the house too, heaven help ya.

Why do u guys have to be negative about everything?

I sure would like to see someone being positive if their account would have been completely stuck for 1 year, 4 months and 16 days just like my Xbox EU account has been now. I bet you wouldn't be making this kind of thread in similar situation and definitely wouldn't be siding with Z0S.

I have been playing mostly cp cyrodiil (have 2k hours played). I have taken many breaks from the game (the last one was over 1 year) ,only cause the performance in cyrodiil is the worst thing i have experienced in any game i've played.Okay maybe battlefiled 4 was simillar when it launched. If u see my posts in my profile u will get what im troubled with this game.

But if any of u guys have played cyrodiil for long enough u should have the intelligence to know and to sense that, whenever a zerg or a ball group call it however u want, is in the server everything is going downwards.
I will never forget a fight in VIVEC EU, around 2.5 hours siege in roebeck. AD defending against DC AND EP at the same time. Of course it was laggy ,but it was the exact kind of lag like at a time of just high pop on all factions and a medium size zerg roaming around. Which means a medium sized zerg lagged the whole high poped server...

Zergs need to be handled somehow. So let them try stuff ,cause something needs to be done about performance. Because i think that spamming the whole forum with "dont do this " and "dont u dare try that cause i will cancel my eso+" doesnt help. Specifically posts that people keep whining about changes without any specific context or reason.

I cant believe im actually siding with ZOS this time :D

    have a great day
That’s all well and good. Just seems that players are having to do all the sacrificing and changing to accommodate a company that will not put more funds into upgrading performance. We know performance can be better when extra resources are allocated. I guess the profit margin isn’t quite high enough.

Correct the greed is real indeed, there's not much to speculate in 2020 at least for those who have played for years at this point.

You literally just said ESO Cyrodiil has the worst performance of any game you've played. Within the first couple sentences there after complaining saying everyone should stop complaining. Ahahaha. Do you really think that Cyrodiil will be fixed by these changes?

I simply can't understand the fanatical defence of ZOS by some individuals in these forums...!
The service to paying customers has been diabolical over years - not just a few weeks. If ZOS were a small family company operating out of a shed in their back garden I'd have some sympathy. But they are a very large and rich corporation depending on some sheep to defend their lack of action and communication.

Don't get me wrong, I love the game and have been playing since release, but the failing performance irks me somewhat. Just wish there was a viable alternative MMO to drive these folks to start adding some value to their customers.

I'll just say this: some patches ago almost every post had someone complaining about pvp and cyro lag, even in topics not about pvp.
That one khajiit obsessed with werewolf behemoth and vampire lord. Lady Thorn is bae, dont @ me.
    Werewolf behemoth=vampire lord>blood scion>werewolf>vampire.

its another thing complaining about lag and performance and another thing about nerfing zergs. what did u not understand from the text?
After a year and a half of taking a break cyrodiil has seen an improvement for me, after i revisited it.

    Lol Seriously ?
I can think of many legitimate and justifiable reasons for people to complain about ESO.
    Let's see -
absolutely atrocious performance and server stability.
Awful exploitation of the crown store microtransactions, price gouging player houses that still are purely cosmetic without any functionaility
Continued poor class balancing and further display ZoS doesn't understand what's best for their own game
Increasingly neglectful towards the feedback and ideas of their own players

Is that enough OP or shall I continue ?

Do you want to know what isn't a good reason to complain against?

Making a forum thread complaining about other people complaining. As if your opinion holds any value over someone else's let alone thinking that anything remotely beneficial or constructive would come about from it.

Just like your baiting thread people have a right to complain. The changes were not thought out and cant be tested properly without overhauling many of the class skills. How is a templar, dk, or, warden supposed to do the test if it blocks them from using the majority of their skills?

Of course you will see a performance increase if 3 of the classes are forced to log off because they can’t use their skills. Personally I’d have no problem if they removed aoe’s entirely, but again that requires changing class skills.

I appreciate how they are trying to find solutions, but the fact that a group of people sat in a room and agreed with these changes with absolutely no thought on how it affects certain classes just shows how out of touch they are with their game and how it works.

They are trying to come up with an easy “one size fits all” solution to the problem. Devs have probably been told by their bosses/corporate to fix the performance problems with no extra resources, no extra money, staff, etc., all while putting out new content every quarter and maintaining/growing the player base. Not an enviable position to be in.

    I agree, let them test.

On the other hand, we've had several recentish updates that swung balance in one direction, have player feedback warning the Devs about problems beforehand, the updates go Live with the predicted problems, and then ZOS reverses courses due to those problems the next update.

Players are right to worry that testing won't take player feedback into account...and that the players will be proven correct in the end.

    Excellent post. 100% this.

I was extremely happy to see ZOS react to the feedback about the LA/HA changes, but some of the reactions are from folks who still feel burned from the silence in the face of many changes that had a large community response. And it's not even just that sometimes the players are proven to be right, it's the silence that follows after the initial notification that is worst of all. Some examples:
    • The loss of queuing with friends in BG's
    • The racial changes to Bosmer and Argonian
    • The decision to make the community re-grind vMA weapons
    • The vampire re-work
    • The dot meta and its immediate reversal
My #1 wish for ESO Today: Decouple achievements from character progress and tracking.

Ahh yes, the old stop complaining thread. Because when you pay for something and invest your time into it, don't be a jerk who also complains about it if it sucks the big one. Do you tell ppl in restaurants to stop complaining when they get their food and its not what they ordered? Maybe you should stop complaining about people's legitimate complaints. Also, in my experience, when people stop complaining, its because they've had enough, and are leaving/unsubbing. So if anything, we should be encouraging people to complain, because then maybe ZOS will get it that the majority of the player base is not happy with the game the last year or so, and they need to step it up and act like professionals, not some first year coding students working on an end of the year MUD project.
