I noticed one of the new costumes (Timbercrow Wanderer) on the PTS today and wanted to see what it looked like, but it didn't come with the template character's "big bag O' Costumes" (although other Cyrodiil Merit costumes did/do). Is there an endless bag of merits somewhere in the template character's inventory (not to be confused with the endless pouch of proofs), or do we just have to hang tight and wait for this one to go live?

Somebody with an NA character should have enough Merits to get it, right?
Otherwise I'll have to wait for the EU character copy.

If you can't find any make sure to make a bug report in game as well, I might have enough merits let me go check.

Sadly I do not have enough and only see gladiator proofs, no merits on PTS items.. that's pretty lame.

I can't wait either for EU copy or for somebody with NA character The preview icon looks very intriguing. Especially curious about male version - maybe finally without a top? Would look stylish and barbaric at same time

Sadly, I only have ten (10) Siege of Cyrodiil merits on PTS.

Cannot test unless ZOS adds it to the Costumer's Infinite Wardrobe (or whatever it's called).

I've long been waiting for a Reachman style more closely resembling the Forsworn from Skyrim. I hope this is it, although it doesn't seem to have a headpiece.

Unless they add it to the template in 6.1.1, I'll probably have to wait for next week's EU copy, I'm already sitting on 50 merits for this one.

not really, looks like a gladiator and not like a northern barbarian at all, it also looks kinda clean boring and low res with little details and way too symetric

We need asymmetrical armor all those modded Armor in fallout and skyrim was a dream. They should hire some of the Modder for armor Design.

I have! Hope for the EU char copy on Monday, too. Depending on the patch size I might not get to log on to PTS until Tuesday, so if someone beats me to it, no hard feelings.

My opinion: male characters didn't need the top at all. Also, the top itself is not very open, so it's not something new for female characters. The lower part of costume doesn't look brutal and barbaric. It looks stylish and sleek, but the way the underwear is done... it makes me think of diapers

Agreed, I was hoping for something more barbaric that lets us show our chest tattoos and such.
I like the female version well enough, but the quality isn't that great.

Aw, that's a pity that the male version keeps the top on. It would look great for a shirtless barbarian type. I'm also not sure about the fact that the underwear can't be dyed.

ZOS, please consider taking the top off of the male version. Please. But keep the necklace, that's cool.

Agreed, @Faulgor, it's pretty middle of the road.

This is not an incentive for players to run Imperial City dailies IMO ...

So ... The fabric seems too ... luxurious for reachmen.

And why such an exposure of the leg? And what's that awful thing on the buttocks? I don't mind covering it up because the loincloth is not wide but still ...
It would have needed a larger loincloth!

Why IC merits stuff is so few and so bad and Cyrodiil proofs stuff is plenty and cool and Cyro proofs are thousand times harder to get? =(

I definitely think it would look better with an extra piece of fabric to cover the thighs like in the picture with the red skirt, and that goes for both genders. That, plus taking the top off the men's version, would make this a really great costume.

I doubt that is the case, but I think if the men also have the top, maybe it's because the Timbercrows are exclusively women at the base ? Or just the wanderers ?

Like the Icereach Coven, where the majority of the characters named are women. Although there are men in their ranks although wear the Barbaric Style.

I tried to show how this costume can look with more open top for girls:



It doesn't have to be exact same top, just example of something which allows to show most of bodyart on torso (I used top from Dark Shaman).

Also, even with large top for girls, the costume could look better without diaper-style underwear:



In this example, I actually used picture of khajiit in her default underwear, so everything shown on the picture (even a bit more) can be seen in game if character has no armor equipped.

Male characters need to have bare chest while wearing this costume:



If this costume had no top for male characters, had less modest top for female characters, and had better underwear (together with ability to color it, using same channel as main body color) - currently this would be the best costume for showing the most of character's body art

I've seen so much poor quality (jarl finery has ugly seam on backside, look up it's dyeing) and poorly designed (like timbercrow) cosmetics, obvious "we will pass the feedback but no fixes" mess-ups (looking at you sea-farer mop of insufferable darkening, or all the hats that make you bald)... I don't get excited about this stuff anymore.

Edit to add: with abysmal Greymoor execution (not design though!) quality, sloppy cosmetics, glaring bugs in quests going unfixed for months and the whole year-long seasons "reducing strain on designers", I cannot help but think that it looks like game is approaching switch into "maintenance mode"

This is absolutely perfect!

ZOS, please have your art team redesign it in this way! It's not going overboard with any risqué look, all of the assets used are already in-game, but it looks a million times better!

@ZOS_GinaBruno, sorry to bother since I know there's a lot going on with testing and the upcoming content, but is there a chance you could pass this feedback along to the art team before the costume officially releases?

It seems like such a small change, but just removing the top from the men's version instantly takes this costume from something unimpressive to something that looks incredible. If we had the bare-chested version, I know I'd be going into IC to try to get it.

The feminine top doesn't bother me either. I would have imagined something very close to the forsworn of TES V. But in this perspective, we should also review the loincloth.

I am personally not a fan of the top from Dark Shaman.

Let's say I find it very good for women. For men, just remove the top.
