The weapons are way too Alien-like

IMHO

I don't mind a lot of the styles of the swords, however the two handed swords are way too long. They just look silly.

I didn't think this was supposed to Be an Anime game.

And, no, I don't play any of the games out there with the stupidly gargantuan weapons.

The blade is waved. The overall form is straight. You said google some swords so i gave you swords to google. As for the "heavy armor" type you didn't say anything about it in your original post. You may be playing a "knight in plate" type but others would like to play "pirates"or whirling dervish. There are plenty of styles to match any of the common sword wielding types. No khopesh though (that i know of) and that sucks.

Say pretty much all two handed swords was straight, curved sword has been popular by cavalry, and you have had some real weird sword designs around the world. In an world with magic you also have enchantments who might well affect sword design.
