The weapons are way too Alien-like

I think the weapons specially the swords look bad. Like I think they should look more straight. I mean I am bisexual and all but the swords already have 2 sides so it's not like anyone is getting offended or anything, but the fact that they are like a morph of sabers and stuff like what the hell, man why are the swords so not straight like. I get that you trynna make them look different from eachother but what happened is that all of them look useless.

So google some swords in real life and make then based on that so they are pointy cus like you know they are not straight too much curves on the swords and stuff but thats too many of them and thats not cool anymore like yeah man.

thanks for the read.

It is a fantasy game. As such the swords are designed to be swords for a fantasy game instead of the boring swords we have in RL.

I agree. While It's cool having some weird sci-fi larp bat stuff for a few styles, I feel that having most new styles that come out be that way is getting a little disappointing. Every new style seems to try to up the ante or forget that tools are primarily used by ordinary people-- rather than being exotic artifacts from another dimension.

A lot of the newer styles are more 'weird' than styles that daedra use, and daedra aren't supposed to understand the value of practicality. Which is not to say they can't look like they're from fantasy cultures... just that maybe more weapons should resemble like they're good at the uses people have for them vs being impractical and ornamental.

I have no clue what your sexuality has to do with how swords look or should look like, but many swords in-game are actually based on real historical weapons from different cultures and time periods. There are some "typical fantasy weapons", but also realistic looking ones, so there's something for everyone, I think.

Nice part about the outfit system, when you learn the style, you can use whatever look strikes your fancy.

All of the new sword styles in Greymoor are simple, straight-edged designs.

Zweihander is still straight not curved. And tell me how many warriors of the heavy armor kind use cutlass, sabers and falchions?

My biggest complaint with all the one handed swords is the handles. Those are not one handed sword handles, those are two handed sword handles.

Well yes longswords are supposed to be two handed but being able to change to one hand quickly for reach. But ZOS won't make a 1 hand and Spell class or Skill-line even though everyone is asking for it.

The blade is waved. The overall form is straight. You said google some swords so i gave you swords to google. As for the "heavy armor" type you didn't say anything about it in your original post. You may be playing a "knight in plate" type but others would like to play "pirates"or whirling dervish. There are plenty of styles to match any of the common sword wielding types. No khopesh though (that i know of) and that sucks.

Don’t get it, just pick your sword style in the outfit station. 🤷🏻‍♀️

ESO is an escape from rl and I am really happy they push it.

For Honor has more historically accurate weapons if that is your need.

Yeah some of more recent ones are going even more into Giger's domain instead of actual weaponry. Would love to see some classical espadon shapes used more often, we even had one nice longsword used in Balorgh arms pack not so long ago, imo the best sword in eso currently. But even ones like Wolf of Solitude replica would do, it's not that hard to have at least a handful of blades each year that won't be just some bizarre fantasy sticks.

Many of them are also badly proportioned and too big. Like most of the swords' blades are too thick and wide for their hilts, and several daggers are more swords than daggers.

Thought we got some nice weapons with the Second Legion arms pack, right up until I came to the sword, which looked almost daedric. Why wasn't it an imperial (aka roman) styled one? Or just a simple straight sword.

They really love to add odd curves and pointy edges to a lot of the swords. Pointy edges that are pointed towards your own hands!

I agree weapons in general look bad in this game. As does the armor.

But what does your sexuality have to do with in-game swords?

They sometimes say a big sword is a compensation for guys with a small... nevermind. But that doesn't say anything about the form.

Because there's a lot of cavorting with daedra among the Imperials during this time and they probably picked up the style from them.

That's Legion Zero, not Second Legion which is a through and through Imperial style.Besides none of the other weapons in the pack is it, just the sword and daggers.

OP I suggest looking at knight of the circle outfit style, available from cyrodiil pvp. It approximates what a real world knight would have used and the sword is pretty traditional.

They should base weapon stats off of their physical appearance in games.

    - Fantasy Weapons being as cool as they look are really impractical as anything more then a ceremonial item so they should have the lowest damage as you know they do not really look like weapons, fantasy game or not how do you expect me to believe it is in anyway believable that this is weighted properly and can perform a clean cut?

    - A basic Longsword would be among the strongest weapons because you know it is actually a weapon with a history of being effective in combat, if you want to give the player a giant weapon give them a Halberd, Bearing Sword or a Nodachi.

No wonder the Daedra always lose, look at their impractical equipment, are they even able to do an overhead chop with those giant shoulder pads? are their swords supposed to cut or are they blunt weapons? i have no idea.

Problem though is that style is very VERY expensive, like 3 million gold for just the armor set style alone.

You might enjoy the New Moon Priest sword style. It has a more traditional shape (minus the hilt but its not ridiculous)
