I would never recommend this game except for people who are retired, like to cry about things all the time, and bored with their life.

Would only recommend this to someone who knows little to nothing of elder scrolls or the older games as I feel this does those games a disservice, however just as a mmo I rather enjoy the game play. But I can not say yes, I wish I could, because as I said the game play and idea are great, but with the massive store in game and the constant lag issues, bugged events in game I can not recommend this to folks I know, as I would look foolish.

It depends on what my friend cares about. If he/she loves Elder Scrolls lore and stuff, and wants a casual MMO experience with rich content, I'd say yes. If they are a competitive score-pusher who loves MMOs or PvP, I would say absolutely no.

YES, why wouldn't I? It's a great game, been playing since Beta. Admittedly it has it's ups and downs (LIKE ANY OTHER MMO) but the fact remains A LOT of people play the game and enjoy it.

Those that REALLY hate the game quit and move on to pastures new or spend their time moaning on the forums.

Played wow since launch, ff since realm reborn, atleast 4 days a week for a few hours. Never experienced such bad performance over such a long time (playing eso actively since elsweyr, quitted in the past before one tamriel)

This is a triple A title and not a indie game studio doing their first project.

Eso had so much potential and is far away from a bad game, but u rly have to fall in love into some game aspects to ignore the trash bin performance.

Game is broken it is not working properly. So i never recommend it to a friend or another person. I my self play this game since beta and i was Eso Plus Member and i canceled it and waiting for game to be fixed. I do not play now and pay for it until it is all fixed.

Already Game is not working and it has a lot performance issues and Bug available since Beta and not fixed yet.
And Last thing is with Greymoor and it is lack of content made me take this decision. I am sad that i cant play this game but i cant support something that is not Working.

And The worst of all No Update or Communication By DEVS !!!
    Plays:
    Magicka SORC - PvE/PvP
    Stamina NB - PvE/PvP
    Magicka NB - PvE/PvP
    Magicka Templar - PvE
    Stamina Templar - PvP
    Magicka DK - PvE

Even though I play this game every day and still try to enjoy it despite the god awful performance, I will no longer recommend this game to my friends as I have in the past. At least 5 of my buddies that purchased the game on my recommendation have quit due to "lag/performance issues." I will not dare lead anybody into this time/cash sink that seems to progressively get worse performance wise despite their "new performance plan."

This game has some of the best combat, most enjoyable pvp and without saying a fantastic lore behind it. Also, there is so much to do.

Zenimax, I know my opinion does not matter to you but if you could improve performance to a reasonable standard, not even excellent just reasonable, this game would be the #1 MMO with an easily retained player base and for years to come. Of course they probably already know this, so I am baffled as well as everybody else as to why they cannot make any successful progress with the performance/server stability of this game.

    Yes
I would, but with a warning that it's not the most stable game

But, then again I don't have any friends that would be interested in a game like this so... *shrugs*

Unless they are a big time Elder Scrolls fan who is looking for a purely TES experience, absolutely not. Even then I might not due to the Crown Store influence.

    Over the past 3 years:
    • Endgame PvE became a mess
    • All PvP became a mess
    • Game performance drastically worsened.
    • Basic gameplay features such as block, sprint, casting abilities became clunky
    • Crown Store prices are higher than ever and Crown Crates more heavily invested in

    ...BUT.
    ...........it is a TES game.
You can still have fun roaming around doing casual questing for the lore.

I'm not even that mad about performance issues. I'm more disgusted at the increasingly shady practices by the company and the excessive monetization. I'd be okay with the subscription and chapter purchases and possibly some direct COSMETIC purchases from the crown store like costumes and polymorphs, but the fact that gamble crates exclusively contain the absolute best cosmetics with nothing even remotely comparable being obtainable through game-play is just downright terrible game design which gives the player fewer reason to actually play the game and more reasons to gamble... Sure, we got some 'rewards' via game-play and events (re-skins mostly) but not one of them are anywhere near the quality of gamble crate stuff. It's just shady business practices tainting a once-great franchise. "Service Tokens" are another thing which should have some gold alternative in place. If the dev team didn't deliberately destroy build diversity in favor of the cash shop then I probably wouldn't have much problem with such tokens but as it is, every update they force changes upon players which nobody wanted just to keep their sales of "service tokens" going. Deliberately design a pain-point in a new system, offer a cash solution a month or two later, it's basic mobile-game, monetization garbage only designed for an MMO... and it's tainting Elder Scrolls.

As long as they don’t care about the Elder Scroll franchise/lore/history and are self sufficient gamers then yes I would. When you are doing solo pve questing the game is amazing.

Well, I'd recommend sticking to other genres until someone releases a MMO which does not suck. ESO is best we have because lack of competition.

    Yes
I said yes, but only if they aren't planning to PvP. The poll should be more specific. PvE can get some lag and bugs, but Cyrodiil is totally fubared.
