As the title says. what advice do you have for picking styles and colors for a decent vampire outfit? I have been trying for the last 2 bloody hours to create something halfway decent, but i dont know if im just tired, or if my fashion sense in ESO is terrible, but i cannot for the life of me make a decent outfit for my vampire sorcerer. does anyone have any advice on what styles and colors would look good on vampires? And since i cant ask for advice on the ESO reddit since apparently discussing outfits is forbidden, i gotta ask here.-_-

For colors, Hollowfang Cruor and Coldharbour Ash Black fit the Vampire theme well, as for the look, thats more subjective. I personally love the New Moon Priest heavy chest. But you could wear outfits that fit the dark theme of Vampires such as Dark brotherhood, Xivkyn, Dremora, etc..

Also, the Greymoor style will release soon after Greymoor release, and is made specifically with a Vampire aesthetic!

EDIT: I forgot to add the screen shot of my Vampire MagCro, so here!

What type of vampire are you looking for? The more sinister type or one that is lavish and shows his power and wealth something in between or completely different? I did this with mine. It was black and red but I like the yellow better.

I may recommend Coldharbour Black for vampires, it is sinister and dyes consistently with majority of motifs (for example on screenshot all parts are from different motif styles, but due to this color look like from one).

I added the Bloodfiend skin cause it added a little extra " *** stay away from me! " to the image, but as you can see, it ticks all the boxes for blood sucking undead horrors. Shadows, red eyes, ornate and old looking armor.

I like the masked hood and Naryu's goggles combo. Obviously ESO vampire strand isn't hurt by the sun but I reckon it isn't exactly pleasing for them to walk around during the day, plus their appearance is kinda obvious. So full face hood, covering nose, mouth and forehead plus goggles for eye protection sounds reasonable. Here's my vampire's outfit from Dark Brotherhood days.

    85nPTAg.png
    Bo4uWp4.png
Crafty Lerisa's Costume worked for me pretty well too.
    U0Nai0G.png
    And Covenant Scout too.

Given the skin tone vampires tend to have, you generally want to shoot for darker colors as a contrast. Bright colors will just make them look even more washed out. That doesn't mean you can't have any bright colors. They just need balanced out with dark ones. Look at @kargen27 's post for example. Lots of bright yellow in there, but it's on a black base which contrasts with the skin.

As for style, whatever floats your boat. B)

I mostly use red/black/white combination for my vampires. Black and white worked great too:

I strongly recommend preview Bloodfiend skin before buying it. At screenshots above it looks good, but mostly because of dim lighting and closed clothes with hood.

This how it looks in reality, more like a zombie or Freddy Krueger, in my opinion:

I think, it still can be used to create good looking vampire, but you need to use closed clothes, long hair and beard.

That must be the reason why vampires detest the (sun)light :)

Any motif set will work, it just honestly depends on your race and tastes.

But some right away thoughts are Ebon, Divine Prosecution, Fang Lair, Dragon Bone, Sapiarch, Worm Cult, New Moon, Grim Harlequin and Dremora. DarkBrotherhood can work too if you want it.

But in the end, it's less about the motifs and more on the Colors
Cold-Harbour Ash Black or Legate Black
Hollowfang Crour (though I know that one isn't easy to get so some alt reds in the spoiler)
Daedric Red (just very grindy and it's more faded)
Rank 10 Materials (it's like Daedric Red in the end)
Sadly Red is hard to come by color in this game.... or at least a good red. Hollowfang will be your best bet though.
For the Third color, if you choose to have one. I'd personally go with Antique Silver or Frozen Blood.
However that third color could be anything you want, I just recommend something a tad on the brightside to break up all the darkness. But your outfit you swing it your way.

So for a quick example, I tossed together a few differing outfits
    P41thcC.png
The one with Divine Prosection as the chest is the one I use. But this wasn't put together to show off outfits this was to show what Coldharbour Ashblack and Hollwfang Crour can do

Once I finished the Dark Brotherhood campaign that costume has been my default set.

    ztHPIiK.jpg

For my Stamcro I do not mind getting some armor look going with leather, mail, and plate. But for my Magcro I am looking for strictly dark robes, cloaks, and cowls.

The ideal look for me would be a long dark cloak with a hooded cowl so you can see the face inside the cowl but it comes up over the face a lot. This works better for role playing a character in Greymore who is obviously going to be fairly unpopular in most towns due to her state and must mostly hide her looks. A cowl much like this.

    eVYdCqG.jpg

I do like the look of a long cloaked back over a light/medium armor jack type of look. Much like Zarok and Borax did above. In the pictures below would be cool chest armor type that acts like a cloak and tunic but would allow the legging and arms to be seen, it would be pretty outstanding in game if they could get the physics work right on it and allow a lot of customization with so much other armor visible but still keeping that robe/cloak feeling and look.

    tL4wd29.jpgOzUjaA0.jpg

Plus, Lotus781, what the heck is that fur around your shoulders? Is that part of a costume, robe? I am pretty sure it is not a shoulder because I have looked through the entire list of shoulders looking for ones not made for the NFL and the best I can come up with is Honor, which can mostly be hid, and as such sell for 200k gold in game...

I wanted to add a little more to this, remember your colors do not have to be red and black, stuff that makes a outfit look old, like dull golds, and silvers work really well too. Dark blues can be beautiful if done right on your outfit. Just play around with your dyes till you find something you like. The Wayrest Outfit Station is out side and gives you some of the best lighting for picking your colors, so also try going there to experiment.
