I just have to say it has been a long time since I was part of a two hour defense of a keep. And with good numbers on both ep and dc. Good fight, all... even if we eventually lost the keep, you had to break down 6 walls to do it. Regardless, hope to fight with/against you all again soon!

I’m just stopping by because I posted in all of the BWB threads back when I only leveled toons through PVP. We had some wild times? I remember all the Nigels, and the power duo of Vyle and Valen.

We used to get poplocked on all factions during prime time pretty regularly. How’s the fighting in Non-vet these days?

Awww, it's OK. The weekend usually gets 2 bars on all sides, but usually overnight one faction flips everything... that's not great...

To be fair, I remember miniskirt before and after CP got taken out and they were a god before - then a good, but just good player after. There was some other dude, nacho or taco something that was amazing and then it turned out they just crutched and I was a noob.

Which faction needs peeps the most? I’ll be rolling a new character soon so I can see the newest tutorial, then I’ll head to pvp. My heart still bleeds Daggerfall blue but I’m open to any alliance that needs the help, since I’ll prob delete the toon at lvl 50 anyway.

Well, you know I'm going to say EP because.... EP. But honestly, DC or EP would be the good choice. AD has been rolling their 40 man trains lately and pushing gates and scoreboard. Not too bad last couple campaigns, but about the last 10 before that...

Oh, right? I moved earlier this year and it absolutely cut into my play time. On the flip side, my wife was very happy my play time was cut way down...

Now I don't actually go for Emperor, especially since I work about 50 hours a week so there's literally no chance of me every getting it, but this is proof of the very flawed Emperor system.

I was coordinating with two groups since the campaign swapped, and was in every fight. Saw the maybe a dozen players that were on at the moment on my side, and never once saw the person that somehow has 3-4x the AP I have, in the second slot. The person gained 50,000AP in the time I gained about 8k AP. How do they do this when he wasn't in a single battle? Certainly not repairing keeps since the pugs I was coordinating with did that.

Obviously we know how to gain that much AP when not participating in legitimate fights, it's just milking your own guild members in a defensive location. Pretty easy to do on resources and outpost near the front lines. Do it right, it keeps a battle marker from appearing on the map and won't attract any other players.

Unfortunately I do not have a solution to this issue. I have thought of entire reworks to the Emperor system, which is sorely needed, but I don't think any of them would solve this.

It is very likely that once the player with 3-4x the amount of AP as the next highest person will have their guildmates swap once they can PvDoor the Emp keeps, in the late hours of the night.

Just a rant.

Several ways that can be done, the most obvious to me is saving activating a Midyear Mayhem scroll, logging off and then using that character right on reset + handing over all the AP-earning quests at once. You can also earn a lot of AP solo defending keeps with oils and bouncing off the keep before they get to you. I've regularly had 20k-50k ticks just doing that. I think there's a timer after like 5 minutes where if nobody on your team dies, you get a d-tick. On top of that, an active scroll earns you about 4k AP for each solo kill so that can be very easy to earn.
