Can't blame you for not reading the whole thread chronologically, but it's not just that since console can't login either, and on top of that you can't log in from their website.
I think they just did not care to remove the maintenance notice since you can't login either way.

I just tried to log in and I'm getting account username/password wrong, not server maintenance.
Also, login to Bethseda (ESO) account is not working on the web page, and that is not run on the game server.

We all know you'll still renew it. If you do it year by year, your level of commitment accepts these kinds of issues.
Empty threats are more akin to jokes than to anything actually threatening. They know you're part of the demographic they don't need to worry about.
