No, it shouldn't. You should have to buy your way out of your alliance by giving up all of your alliance points. You no longer deserve them for abandoning the same allies that helped you obtain them in the first place.

No. We never know what a new item will cost until it is available on live. I cannot recall a time when Zos gave out that information ahead of time.

Given that, I doubt it would be for less than 3k crowns since that is what race change costs. Again, that is the low end of possibilities, and 5k would not surprise me.

Aight. Here's hoping they won't be too expensive.

Legit got all my AP by pulling my weight. I did well in Alliance War and as such should retain a good rank when switching.

Wish they called them "traitor tokens" instead.

This made me laugh, but in all seriousness I have been EP since Day 1 and when I made my necromancer I accidentally made her AD and didn't notice until she was about level 30 or so. I feel like a traitor every time I PvP with her, to work towards an ability or participate in Midyear Mayhem or whatever.

So this allows me to stop being a traitor.

This is the pipe-dream with the Alliance change tokens.

    1. The accessibility of the Alliance Change tokens are readily available e.g. very cheap on the crown store.
    2. The implement a similar 3-day wait period when deleting characters into Alliance Change tokens e.g. the player character alliance can only change once per 30-days, or so.
    3. All PVP campaigns become faction locked except the below 50 campaign. Why? Now you can swap all your characters over to one particular faction to play with your friends, guild, etc. since faction alliance has no bearing on PVE grouping.

All of this use of the word “deserve” and it’s tenses.

If you’re a role player that’s cool, but you can keep that to yourself. Some of us (I’d go as far as possibly saying the majority of us) just want to be able to play with our friends.

They should have the image of the Nord guy doing a face-palm on there instead.

I don't always need a Crown Store Token when I wish to turn traitor... but it helps.

Well thankfully this won't be the case. I used one on the PTS and neither my alliance rank or skill lines were affected.

I've played since Beta and glad to see this is finally coming to game. I don't feel you are a traitor by wanting to change alliance whether it be to play with friends or you want to try out a different alliance. It's YOUR game and it is just that a game.

I can understand why others want to change alliance and the reasons can vary. For example: Back before we took a hiatus from game, my BF and I switched from EP to AD and a HUGE reason we changed was due to he got home from work around 6pm CST. Back then, EP was always alliance locked and had insane queue times. He'd often have to wait an hour to get into Cyrodiil. However, AD and DC had no queue times so we went AD for a short period of time. We both had EP and AD characters that we made while leveling back in the day so only had to wait for the campaign to end in order to swap.

Alliance token allows those who work full time jobs the ability to not have to remake a whole other character just to play with friends or what I have seen more often than not is, new players don't realize that they get "alliance locked" because they've never made it to 50 or Cyrodiil to understand what that means. Can the token be abused? I'm sure it can but hopefully ZOS will monitor it and see how it affects Cyrodiil in the long haul.

A bit salty are we? The token will cost crowns, it not something that you can do on a whim, like switching factions by changing character in no CP without any kind of penalty as it is there at the moment. But your idea sounds awesome, I can just bank all the AP from my DC char that I will change to EP, then pick up the AP on my EP char and then faction change for free. Or I could if I hadn't already moved the AP ages ago. It's just a really bad idea that seems to stem from your hatred for this token, for whatever reason you have.

For me, my first and main PvE character is DC, I think I'm at rank 8 on it in PvP. When I got into PvP, I tried out all 3 factions and found myself enjoying EP the most, partially because I found a nice guild that's still around. Which means I haven't touched Cyro on my DC and AD characters for the last 2 years or so. Not being able to play on my PvE main in PvP has been one of my bigger annoyances so finally being able to do so is simply awesome.
