You, voice acting!

If you could do the voice of one character, who would it be and why?

I think for me it would be Aelif, from the Fighter's Guild questline, because if I had the chance to do something like this I would absolutely want it to be an "evil" character, someone with a hidden agenda. I can imagine that would be lots of fun. Also I just love the Khajiiti accent! I like to do weird/silly voices sometimes anyway or imitate all kinds of accents, so Aelif seems like a character that would suit me.

    Cool question, btw, OP :)
This poor little Bosmer stealth passive had passionate friends and a big loving family!

Oh God I'm such a shy speaker...

People of certain accents are more suited for certain Races in Elder Scrolls. The British for a Dunmer, American for an Imperial. I can't pin down a nationality for good Khajiit. Their accent is like a cross of Russian and Indian. I'm too American to be anything other than an Imperial, or a Breton. I love playfully speaking in a Khajiiti tongue but I couldn't keep it up fluidly like it was my actual voice.

All the characters so I could correct the very poor voice acting that consistently misrepresents the meaning of the text. [snip]

@GenjiraX I've heard most video game voice acting is done totally "cold," i.e. the actors have no context for what their saying and have not been given a script ahead of time, so you gotta forgive them for that. But sometimes it seems like they botch an accent, which doesn't happen often but always grates on me.

The Skald King because I feel like he doesn't sound very kingly for a Nord. Now that could be the intended purpose but it'd be awesome in my eyes to be the voice actor for the ruler of the Pact..... despite the fact all my characters are DC toons.

I would want to voice that Argonian in Belkarth so everyone can be annoyed by my voice all the time. My familly is well respected in Stormhaven. I can get you lot's of valuables. I just need to get out of Craglorn!

That's just such an alien concept to me. The only game I was okay with where I had to read dialogue boxes from mute NPCs was The Legend of Zelda, and even then the characters made these grunting mumble noises with every sentence to give the illusion that they were speaking.

I love the voice acting in this game and other games so much. It actually makes me angry when I’m not able to enjoy all of it (dungeon dlc). I want to hear every side conversation and snide remark. Even in single player rpg I slow down when I hear npcs chatting, and will even reload a save if I walked too quickly into a scene and missed a piece of the script.

I don’t have an accent and I enunciate. This causes people IRL who are surprised that I don’t “speak how I look” to automatically assume I’m British for some odd reason. On Discord I sound just like any other random non specific North American. Because of that, I don’t think I’d be a good choice for VA. Not unique enough. Maybe a male character that’s supposed to be a teen sidekick like Hildegard. Bretons sound American so probably that.

    Thanks for an interesting question!

Razum-dar. There's no denying that the Kahjiit have this sexy Antonio Banderas thing going on. Other than that, probably Sheogorath because we're both great at talking nonsense.

Mehrunes Dagon. Because when he speaks at the end of the City of Ash 1 story, it makes me die inside hearing the Daedric Prince of Destruction have the same bland voice actor you hear play all the tiny Bosmer men.

Speaking of which, Fingaenion, the tiny Bosmer man in City of Ash 1 and 2, is the same voice actor as Mehrunes Dagon. I understand if you don't want to hire a celebrity for a Daedric Prince that only has like, 1 line of dialogue in the entire game, but they could've at least had someone else play Mehrunes Dagon so it didn't seem like the same person was talking with them self. That seems so low budget and unplanned, and just breaks my immersion.

Sad that Argonians don't have a Cajun / Creole themed accent going for them - maybe deeper in black marsh might pop up.
