Anniversary gift boxes not being received (after 3pm BST today)

They never showed me event reminder on ps4, wasn't checking forum as was busy (we doctors are not getting holidays like other people) and missed 210 golden boxes

Didn't know about this, till my 16 toon started receiving them.

I feel devastated, it's my favorite event.

Definitely not the case. I manually opened the first set of writ crates and then didn't receive my second round.

I suggest you bookmark the News page here in your browser and check it regularly - the news article went up on the 26th March so there was plenty of warning. If it is disappointing to miss stuff, then be sure to check the news pages every so often, that way stuff won't come as a surprise in future

Second char, with no addons on pc moved them all. Without cake buff no box. BUT cake buff will not work on him. Yes he has no buff on at all.

Some more detailed info to help pin down the issue:

Chars 1, 2, 3 got boxes for yesterday's and today's writs.
Char 4 got NO boxes for yesterday's writs
Chars 5 + 6 got boxes for yesterday's and today's writs
Char 4 got boxes for today's writs after relogging.

NONE of those chars had eaten any cake.

Did 3 rounds of writs this morning:

• Character 1: Breton (DC). Did 2020 cake quest. Ate cake. Turned in writs in Vivec City. Got all 7 boxes.
• Character 2: Imperial (EP). Did 2020 cake quest. Ate cake. Picked up/made writs in Vivec, turned in Davon's Watch. Got all 7 boxes.
• Character 3: Bosmer (AD). Did 2020 cake quest. Did not eat cake. Picked up/made writs in Vivec, turned in Vuhkel Guard. Got all 7 boxes.

Race, place of writ turn in, and whether you actually eat the cake or not doesn't seem to matter. Am stopping for now just in case I've been lucky. lol

Yes you are right. But I could not take Boon from cake. from my 4th Toon. Cashed in 14 daily writs before I realized I got nothing. Then I went to go and do the cake event and now it works. It seems as though there is no rhyme or reason why that character needed to do the cake event. In the past you only needed to do the quest on your main and use the momento for your other characters and there was no issue with getting the Anniversary boxes. Whats your MO?

Is it linked to alliance of characters? LIke is the one that couldn't use the cake or get boxes a different alliance than the character that did the cake quest? Just trying to see whether there are any patterns that might be useful for a workaround...

My first 4 were all EP. So it's still seeming that it was just unlucky on that particular character needing to do the cake quest. ON my 5th now and it was fine. Did not have cake boon, handed in daily writs and got the boxes.....

I keep checking but I was busy as we are under lockdown and I have to go to work as doctor.

Secondly I thought I would check after jester event. Never thought it would be back to back.

If it can help, I got the same issue on one of my character but for a friend it worked perfectly fine... So I ported to him and was able to deliver the quests and get the boxes in his instance

Same issue here. First turn in, said I should have event box, but nothing in inventory. NA server.

Rewards showed when I handed in the quests but no boxes appeared in my inventory. & daily quests 7 boxes missing.

It has no connection to cake as my 16th to 18th toons received boxes then I went on my main to get the cake.

i am finishing out my writ turn ins and compiling what i learn from it, but I can confirm that the cake has nothing to do with hit at all, so claims it does are false.

No problems on console. Not for Xbox anyway. I’ve done 3 characters so far, and all have gotten boxes. 👍

With three chars so far, two were okay in any condition, third one didnt get boxes, wasnt unable to get the XP from the cake and I saw boxes dropping on second writs rounds, but nothing in my inventory actually.

Dear ZOS, EVERYTHING you do in this game is utter failure. Such a shame. After the bugged intro quest, now this. Not to mention loading screens in Craglorn every 2-3 minutes.

Do not bother to create a support ticket for this issue. I created one and described how I did the cake quest and ate the cake, then turned in my crafting dailies and got nothing. ZOS answer was that I need to make sure I’m certified. Anyone know of a way to do the crafting dailies without getting certified? Does ZOS support personnel know what game they are supporting for?

Support is outsourced, so they probably don't know game mechanics.

You realize that the first response is an automated message based on keywords that are in your ticket, which is the same as most other customer service responses from larger companies. In this case, it was incorrect. Computer algorithms aren't perfect (yet).

Respond to the ticket, and it will be "elevated" and an actual person will look at it.

I agree it sucks, and it's terrible that this is where we're at as a society. But they use this process to filter out 95% of the complaints as people won't even bother to elevate it.

Confirming this issue on PC-NA.

On my Necromancer alt, turned in yesterdays and did today's crafting dailies, no boxes. They appeared on my first three characters, 4th is not working.

PC EU - Just done 6 writs on one character, all writs taken after the event started and all rewarded anniversary boxes (with one style page). No cake eaten, no add-ons used.
