Zenimax made me a favor

Yesterday I downloaded the complete game again after quit and months without play.

Then I log in and I did one battleground with my sorcerer. I liked it and then I decide to try another bg with another character, but for that I needed to transfer some equipment from character to another.

The big surprise was when in my bank says 348/174. Then I remembered I have always been an ESO+ member!!

But I thought, I don't want to deposit nothing, I want to transfer a few items from character to character!

What are my options?

Start to move items from the bank to my other characters?? That would be complicated, because many of my other characters I don't regularly use are also full of items!

Should I pay a monthly subscription? But why would I do that! I don't even know if I would like the game...

Maybe is time to deconstruct some items and make place... But do I really want to spend the next 2 hours doing something I don't want to do and destroy items that I may need??

Then I came to the most logic and my final conclusion. why I'm struggling my mind with a game that intentionally adopts measurements to tackle themselves, blocking our gameplay experience to bring and push us to have to pay to do able to do things that actually should be free?

Then I thought that's it I'm just gonna disconnect. Not even 30 minutes and I found another stupid reason to just log off, who knows for how long.

Many of you sure would think that is my problem but I see it different, because I don't want to deposit nothing, I want to transfer items, but zos make it in the way that is only possible through the bank. There is the trick.

    1) storage chests
    2) send mail to friend, ask for return, pick mail on another character

I have not subbed for months now. I use my storage chests. It's annoying, but it's the easiest method. Im not subbing until performance fixes have proven themselves, and im losing what little hope remains.

That's not how I view it at all, @teladoy.

When you let a subscription service you paid for lapse, you lose the perks of said subscription service.

    Pretty simple.

I've never tried it, but I've seen people mention sending mail to themselves as a way to temporarily free up inventory slots. Is it possible for one character to mail something to another character on the same account? If so, that might be your best bet.

If you quit cold turkey, you'll get the withdrawal. Either suffer thru it or pay up for a fix and taper your hoarding off before it ends.

I have tried month of ESO+ myself. Inventory problems in end are pretty huge annoyance.

I don't hoard so no problem here, but here is a trick of my friend - cheapeast way, to have huge storage space is... buying a game again. You can often catch a basic version for less than 10$ and it will give you aprox 3000 storage space when maxed out... xD

No is not possible. They know this decision would go against their interest to make people pay for a plus membership.

It's not a perk though, it's a paid solution to a completely avoidable problem. ZoS deliberately creates an inventory management nightmare and then sells the solution for it, even though it's perfectly within their power to just not create the problem in the first place.

I'm with you all the way OP. I've had several breaks, some with a single days game play in between because I was crippled by full inventory and full mail with no desire for tedious inventory management / deconstruction / opening a million coffers.

In the end you will give up - either on the game or on playing without ESO+. It is too much hassle to play without it, if you want to craft as well. Eventually someone who is just pvping could get away without, but otherwise you will just manage inventory instead to play.
