    I do wonder why the players are abanding Cydrodiil now and look at the statitistics. The Devs should test to play at the live servers to see how bad it is and not in a local sandbox.I have no lag when I ride around alone in an area of Cyrodiil where there are few players or no players.

    Break free indeed takes sometimes 1 to 2 GCD. At 3 am in the morning in a duel in Alikr Desert with no one around. This is new.

    Not the best connection in the world but i have a stable cabled 2 mb/s at least. I live in middle of europe, playing in PC EU. I dont use any addons. Good new gaming PC.

    With regards Cyrodiil, I play no-cp on PC EU, and 90% of the time the lag is negligible. What I experienced in Cyro yesterday took me back to pop-locked console CP PvP, but it was even worse, no lies, even worse than that!!

    Pvp gameplay last night was terrible. Honestly I think I preferred the crashing. I tried on 3 different classes and found a recurring theme with client-server desyncs.

    Starting with targeted skills. The toon starts the animation, waving or raising the arm, but returns to neutral without casting. Both Mages Fury and Purifying Light result in fist pumping when spammed, which is awesomely amusing, but not nearly as satisfying as actually casting the skills would be. What my DK looks like when starting and aborting the Whip animation over and over is just obscene :D

    Then gap closers. Several times I completed the animation only to be teleported back to where I started. I saw this happen to other people as well. They would charge, rush or leap into combat and then *poof* back.

    And finally “you can’t do that while dead”. Twice last night I ran into this while in combat, once on top of Warden fighting 3 EP and nobody’s skills were working, I was moving around and could light attack, rolldodge and cause bash damage, but casting or using a potion returned a “you can’t do that while dead” error in the upper-right corner. Maybe 20 seconds later I finally dropped dead and 2 of the EP were gone. The second time was at glade mine I went in with full health, lept on the flag NPCs got stunned, and got the “you can’t do that while dead” message when I tried to break free. Sure enough I dropped dead on the flag. Combat log recorded no incoming damage.

    What these have in common is player positioning sync. Skills don’t fire because on the server side the target isnt where your client perceives them to be. Snap backs and rubber banding happens because the server and your game disagree about where your character is.

    We’ve seen these symptoms of desync on occasion in high lag situations, but last night it was notable in that it happened all night, in every fight, and seemed to affect everyone more or less the same. Something is preventing the game from receiving or processing combat positioning messages in real time, and it’s too widespread to be caused by our individual systems, internet connections, or even addons.

    I just had very intense issues in spindleclutch 1 on the second spiderboss and then it got gradually better again and didnt notice it anymore on the last boss.

    EDIT: Issues as in: Skill just dont fire.

    This is super weird and annoying :/
    I hope this gets under control in at least a month.

    ZOS I believe as a community we deserve answers. We want to know if this skill delay is on purpose, if slowing combat to a crawl is your intention.. We want to know if this is the best your "performance" patch has to offer, and since all the big reveal in Vegas was a bunch of lore and overland crap if that's all we can look forward to in the upcoming Skyrim (Hail Mary because the year of the dragon was an epic fail) chapter.. We have been thanked for a patience enough we are all out of patience.. Stop lying we have earned the right to get a straight answer for once in 6 years...

    P.S some of us already knew that doing client side fixes wouldn't change any of the server side problems.. I don't expect you to ever actually fix the game because you would have to put money into it instead of straight into your pocket, but don't ruin the combat for the love of god..

    Said this on a different thread, but the answers are going to lie in management's decisions and the current skill level of the combat/sever team. TDLR: upper management needs to look into replacing some software developers because sales

    When the revenue starts to drop, someone will be held accountable. It's only a matter of time. Due to the increase in complaints, loss in sales, churn rate of players, we may see something soon. I'm doing to do PVE for a few more weeks. If PVP isn't resolved, I'm done. I have no problem spending money towards a game company that actually listens to its community.

    Ok uninstalled both steam and standalone ESO game. Lag is still present but better. Lag is apparent when going from wayshrine to wayshrine and/or enabling a sorc pet at a wayshrine (350ms to 1300ms). Accessing items is a slow process. Light attacks 50/50 chance they don't fire off. Heavy attack is the same way. There is a delay while fighting overland monsters. Some are pretty much insta kill but others the animations are jarring. Attack target (31000 hit points) should be install kill but the damage indicator doesn't go down and looks as though the target has 33000 resists +. Then all of a sudden the target explodes very fast and target is down. Delay in the target animation or damage is not being registered at that moment. This is also bad because you could be dead and not know it until after the fact.

    The connections is between 50ms to 110ms but it's like going thru molasses in some of these combat animations. On the bright side Elemental Drain works now. The sorc pet (flapper) is a problem. Takes up a large amount of the screen at times and blocks access to picking up items or just seeing a target. This needs to be fixed. Reduce the size by 50% would help.

    Hi @ZOS_JessicaFolsom unfortunately after the crash fixes (and partly before them) the perormance is worse in regards to weaving / abilities / break free / hp desync.

    Partly some of this is due to the streak cc bug (see bug forum) but mostly just general performance woes.

    As I mentioned in another thread (that was closed), some of the abilities not firing issues seem to be related to LoS. I've noticed that abilities often won't fire if the camera is angled a little too far down or up, even if I'm standing directly in front of a target, and I don't recall this being the case before the patch.

    hmm this would explain why i have problems with range tauting trash. Usually i was able to taunt few mobs before meeting them in melee range. Now taunt 2 or 3 at most.

    Too many things seem to be broken or not working as intended right now, and it's really hurting combat:

    1) Ultimates are not casting: the animation goes through, the ultimate points are consumed, but the ultimate never appears and doesn't have an effect

    2) Block-casting is unreliable and seems to be a hit ot miss

    3) Block gets randomly dropped even when holding block and without casting skills

    4) Weapon swap is stuck: character cannot swap to alternate bar for minutes at a time

    5) Casting skills feels slow, without input lag, as if their cooldown is altered

    Please @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom @ZOS_Gilliam @ZOS_BillE, could we get an aknowledgement whether you are aware of these issues, and whether they are being looked at?

    half pop and the lag in cyrodiil is worse then ever. delayed everything, ping worse, framelags worse, everyone will be happier without "performance patch" what makes performance not only in PT a joke.

    I don't know what you worked on last whole year, but it wasn't on "Performance"

    I experience block not registering, too. Sometimes i can get stunned in the middle of holding block. Not talking about any delay. Just getting straight stunned while holding block with an ability that cant normally go through block.

    But the biggest issue at the moment is delayed break free imo.

    If they can break it with an update, then they can fix it with an update. I'm pretty sure that's all people are asking for. ZOS recently destroyed performance. It's really not unreasonable to ask them to undo their own destruction.

    My ults don't work. DB gets eaten if cast by anything that's not flat terrain. Walls, corners, steps, rocks, trees, etc etc all eat it. If I can manage it to go off it takes 5 button presses. Leap will consume my ult like one out of four times but never actually go off. Sometimes I'll actually leap but nothing happes. I think, like DB, the terrain eats it.

    Stuns are going through my blocks. Meteor and sometimes streak will just bypass my block. Could be server lag, I dunno.

    My attack skills act like I have no LOS. They simply refuse to go off. Executioner is horrible for this. I can bank on it NOT working more than it does. 3-4 button presses is common for skills to work.

    Bar swap can be delayed or just not going off.

    I actually watched with my own eyes as my stamina bar depleted with no actions done on my end. I've seen this more than once. I now know I'm not going crazy. Not entirely to no stamina from a full bar but a good chunk of stamina just straight drops.

    I don't know how much of this is do to any sort of new lag but I know one thing for 100% fact: this started with the last update.

    I don't use very many addons and have many of the same issues other people have listed here. Its gotten so bad that I've had to make 2 different PVP builds where one is in a laggy situation and the other isn't. Like for example you can just forget using elemental weapon, which has forced me to use flame lash..... which as you an guess sometimes cancels itself mid cast even when none of my hands are on the controls.

    At this point I just struggle to apply a few DOTs onto my target and then use fossilize on them. Fossilize is basically a death sentence in this current state of the game since odds are they won't be able to break from the stun in time before the zerg consumes them.

    Is it just me or does anyone else notice it get worse the longer you in the game. Just left cyro couldn't even bar swap by the end. I've relogged and now it better... Still bad but input lag is less.

    They said the same from the movement bugs in TG patch and it was never fixed. That was 4 years ago.
    Overload rework. Power Overload now does physical damage and grants you the power of a tornado: You throw a brick at the target with a light attack, and you hammer your head into that brick with every heavy attack. We have decreased its Ultimate cost, but increased the chance that you get stuck in the animation.

    The game is honestly unplayable from a PVP perspective.

    1) CC Break is delayed, buggy, and unreliable.
    2) Abilities are straight up not activating or are disappearing without any apparent effect. These I call "dropped globals."
    3) Some GCDs are extended far, far longer than they should be (up to even 4-5 seconds for one cast).
    4) What is seen visually is not reflected with what is happening functionally. For example, I am eating damage/CC through dodge roll by abilities that should not be able to land on dodge rolling targets. Also, my Jabs aren't landing on targets in situations where visually they absolutely should be hitting. There is a sizable degree of desync, both for animations and player position.

    Hard to play a squishier build when the game is so unresponsive and visually misleading.

    I don't know if this is related to the combat skill problems I'm seeing. I am not seeing gathering animations about 50% of the time although the action completes. On rare occasions I am also having to press "E" several times for the action to start. Never had these issues before the last patch.

    Well said. The game has never been this unresponsive before. This patch is a complete unmitigated failure on nearly every level

    So, the issues seem to be exacerbated if you are clicking more / putting in more control inputs.

    Each time you click, is the game trying to register and process your attempt at an ability even when it can't be used / global cooldown? Because if it is, surely that will create a massive information overload if you think of the number of inputs you can put in each second.

    I don't know much about coding and creating games, but if this is the issue, is there a way of blocking excessive inputs so that only the ones that successfully activate abilities or commands are sent to the server?

    *Edit: It was the crash which came from repeatedly clicking block really fast that made me think this could be the case.

    She is a community manager. Being rude to her wont help anything and will just get the thread closed.

    Canceling your sub is more impactful as well as refunding your greymoor purchase if possible.
