Is the whole world trying to download it at the same time or something? It's crawling forward.

I tried to be smart and left the launcher open when I went to the office, but I returned to a 'Repair' button so I had to start it from 0.

Omg had it going ages via steam. I have fibre Internet and should get up to 56mb/s in theory for download. It's going at 4mb/s from steam and a website for finding the time of downloads says it will be 1 day 27 hours. I really hope that's wrong.

Mine started downloading this morning when I went to bed. 7 hours later, I have 3%. I am sure it will take about 3 or 4 days to download. It always does. I will miss most of the rest of the event, and the pet that goes with the monthly drop :(

Took some notes while the game was updating this morning. This is just my experience.

Folder size during patch: 133 GB (The last backup I had was 82.3GB)
    Download Speed: 10-12 MB/s
    Install Speed: 70-120 MB/s (1TB SATA SSD)
Folder size after patch: 66.7 GB
Total patching time: About 2 hours (100 Down / 6 Up)

This was actually a very smooth patch deployment. Aside from the longer download and install time, this patch was unremarkable, in that respect. At least, from my perspective.

Yeah, same for me - I had just to start the launcher all else was done by the launcher and it completed without any error message. The download itself started slow and sped up later, but this is due to that I started the download at local prime time, so it worked well inside normal parameters for my machine. in short, it worked like intended - well done.

I have no idea how long mine took, but I started it before I left for work and it was finished when I got home, so as far as I'm concerned, however long it was, was exactly the right amount of time.

It took me about an hour, possibly less as I wasn’t watching, just checked back after an hour or so. I definitely feel for the people who are experiencing multiple hours of download time.

I have expressed my skepticism on this forum about how well I expected this reload would work and potential post-install issues. For my actual experience it was better than expected and uneventful. It’s unfortunate that not all can say this. My only real new issues thus far involved a few Add Ons, which were resolved by the prompt and dedicated Add On authors providing timely updates today. They are unsung heroes!

Having said all that, I can further say that I have noticed zero improvements in game after about 8-9 hours of play today. The same disconcerting issues I experienced prior to U25 still exist for me. Long loading screens, occasional brief stuttering after mapping into areas, and some strange GF/DF activity where grouping takes forever and often fails repeatedly trying to form (one minor new negative is the initial ready check sound has changed and is easier to miss). I DO like that Undaunted Pledges now have their own section in the Journal.

(Side note regarding ongoing issues referenced: I’ve tried with and without any Add Ons active, and my system is an I9-9900K (liquid cooled), 32GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 2x Samsung 1TB M.2 NVME SSDs, GeForce RTX 2080 TI 11GB, so I do believe my system can manage running ESO decently)

I’ll give it some time, but so far I’ve not seen anything justifying what ZOS has just put people through, though YMMV. Time will tell ...

For giggles, I ran the launcher to see how it would do. On the first-stage download (~7000MB remaining) it was running ~1MB/s.

So, yeah. Think I'll just uninstall now, and perhaps come back in a few months when I've built a new PC with faster wifi.

    Your problem is wifi.

Took me less than an hour on my home PC which is on wifi. Not sure why that's a problem.

Because you have an nice wifi signal does not say that all have it.
Just you position in the house regarding the router has an impact. Like lots of metal or concreete in between.
If some has an decent line in but get low download speeds its probably an weak signal, trying to get an better position might solve it

If this was today you don't have much load on the download servers either.

Well I'm certainly envious... my Third World ISP has my download speed at ~475 KB/s, so overnight I accomplished 10% of the download (and once I reach my monthly data soft cap, it'll become even slower.) I'm now sitting at 12%, so it'll be quite some time before I can return to scenic Tamriel. Save a Crimson Torchbug Pet for me!

Don't worry. I was in a comparable situation : the initial 20% are painful, but it speeds up considerably after that (because parts of the process involve installation, not D/L).
The whole process lasted for me about 18 hours with a D/L speed similar to yours.

Whole thing took c.2 hours via wifi at c.35 mb/s. Went slowly for first 25% then sped up. Remarkably painless. Didn't realise how grateful I should be for fibre internet - much sympathy for the slow speeds some of you have!
