What I always do. I stopped pushing endgame a few patches back now, and my blood pressure has thanked me for it. Having tested the changes, it won't affect my normal dungeon runs in any meaningful way.

I've been playing since 2015, this is the single hardest general game nerf by far. I've seen people complaining about nerfmire and Nerfwind and others, but all these were nothing compared to this patch

    OK. And?
What are you trying to accomplish with this poll? It is not really a poll but just a manipulative way of complaining.

I understand your disappointment but this is not a way to get your argument heard.
    What was your argument again?

While I do have an argument I didnt state it in the title or in the poll I gave all the options.
I did however explain it in the comments, on how the game will be very elitist and most average players and even previous good players will be unable to do so much content because the top 5% were complaining it was easy

    Well let's see about that.
This is the first patch, not the one that will go live. I see it as a starting point. We'll have to test and keep discussing.
Hopefully with a bit less hyperbole and drama. ;-)
Don't give up on the game.

I'll still play ESO, but I'll start playing BDO more. This trend for me started a few months ago. Too many changes to combat too fast with a lack of enough PvE content, (sorry, cut and paste dungeon DLCs don't count, and with the latest dps nerf who can do them anyway.)

Last patch I tried very hard to sound the alarm in a logical way and point out why the healing changes were not in the best interest of the role.

And yet comparatively few people paid attention and many responded with the "git gud" and "learn to adapt" comments, completely missing the point. Even when proof was shared in a trial on PTS.

Later ZOS even confirmed the changes were done for performance reasons (therefore not to make healing more fun or more relevant or even "better.")

Now the DPS role is apparently being hit across the board and you guys are surprised?

My advice...respect and advocate for your tanks and healers more. :p Maybe if more people had backed up the expert healers opposing the healing changes last patch DPS wouldn't be facing the chopping block now.

But it's too late... the combat standards are part of the game at this point and there's no going back now.

My answer to this poll would be "wait and see" since this is only wave 1.
My #1 wish for ESO Today: Decouple achievements from character progress and tracking.

I gave this patch a pass, since within the first week it was obvious that I just did not enjoy the DoT meta combined with the absolutely horrendous performance, and if this next patch doesn't see some serious changes (as in, reverting almost the entire thing and starting from square one again), I'll be giving next patch a pass, too.

I don't worry about changes made to the game, I just adapt as needed. I mostly use direct damage weapons and skills rather than damage over time skills, so in this case I don't anticipate needing to adapt nearly as much as some people will.

if they genuinely go live like this, yeah i'm quitting and playing wow classic. when they bated us with that fake-ass "class identity" they promised with dragonhold, stamdks getting a spammable and wardens becoming bis healers is NOT what i had in mind. new gameplay elements my entire ass. It was stupid of me to assume they would have any idea about how class identity should work.

then wow classic, a game that's almost 20 years old, had a better idea for how class balance should work and made each one feel like an entirely new game to play, with different gameplay styles, different unique buffs and utility they bring to the group, each one has its own service every other class begs them for, it's so easy to make friends because everyone wants you in their group for your class.

ESO is the polar opposite. unless you're a nondk tank, nobody cares. every class is the same. the only difference is just visuals, because every rotation is the same, all the skills are the same [some have different colors], all the DPS is the same. necro has major vuln, which makes them stand out, and now that's getting nerfed a bit. it's a sad state.

it also doesn't help that zos's idea of "balance" is just wildly destroying everything in the hopes that it'll balance something. nerfing skills by 33% in scalebreaker and then AGAIN by 60% in dragonhold? it's laughable, honestly. what a shithole.

I'll probably take a little break and enjoy some of the other games. Partly because of the nerfs across the board, but really more so because some of the other games just look more interesting to me right now. So I'll enjoy some of the other games for awhile and monitor how ESO does, and hope I get that excitement again for this game. I used to really have it, and it was fun. But lately it's been gone, and I think time is really the only thing that can bring it back...I hope.

I already don't play a lot anymore, mainly just log in, collect hireling mails, etc. It's a shame, I love this game but these DPS nerfs are no fun.
I'll wait, maybe they get their crap together one day. Until then, I'll keep collecting that digital money and do everything except playing this game for more than half an hour.

It doesn't work anymore for most people. I could adapt once a year, but not each 2-3 months. For the last year combat changes have been getting out of control. They are too drastic and too frequent. And people are either tired or exhausted or disheartened already at this point.

housing, stupid achievements like "kill 500 chickens", crafting dilies, chilling with all my low dps chars remembering the good old times, the vmol speedrun, the first flawless run in vma and the first time we reach 560k, the last time we nuked the boss in vdsa, i'm sure that my stamsorc will say "hey noobs, i'm the first to pass 90k dps on the raid dummy" (he is a vain khajiit but i love him so much).

I feel like my guildies carry me as it is, and I've read tutorials, followed suggested builds, watched clinic vids, changed armor sets umpteen times and learned like 5 new rotations in the last year. Now my DPS is being cut by half in every single skill I was forced to start using after the last change. I'm not young, and I'm just really tired. I don't have the energy to start playing this game over every time they get a wild hair. I'm probably just going to decorate houses.

    I'm incredibly disheartened.

And so the process repeats itself, because Zenimax constantly misses the mark, as they simply don't know the definition of the work "incremental".

This is why I'm taking a break. I'm tired of the game constantly yoyoing between entire playstyles, consistently landing on ones that get perpetually less and less fun. I'm tired of this happening every patch, while the list of bugs that interrupt gameplay continues to get larger and larger, and the servers continue to drown in raw sewage from the neglect.
