    1. Stonefalls. Too dark and depressing. And I’m no lava fan.
    2. Shadowfen and Murkmire. I hate swamps.
    3. Coldharbour. Too dark and I dislike the small amount of color there is.

I find Clockwork City depressing and I avoid going there. I dislike the sounds, the architecture, the colours and the whole inorganic, artificial atmosphere of the place.

I like all of the other zones in the game, my happiest moments are spent in the leafy, jungly areas that feel organic, with the sounds contributing to the ambience :)

Cyrodiil by a landslide, and not just because it is a PvP zone. It's a bunch of open space devoid of much of anything interesting or any actual content. There is almost no point to go there for any reason other than PvP, which I suppose was the intention.
But there are some quirky little additions you can stumble upon. Like the sweeping skeleton or those walking ghosts. I think those random finds make the area more interesting than it seems (if you have a fully trained mount that is, plodding around on a slow mount would be tedious as hell).

I actually find Cyrodiil one of the most interesting and rewarding zones to explore. I feel like I'm constantly finding neat things- like the giant on top of the mountain with a skyshard in the DC area, or that perpetual shattered dolman thing, also in the DC area. I wish I could actually go inside, though.

Grahtwood, Greenshade and Malabal Tor. Can't find a spot with flat terrain and also no way you can advance a yard without getting attacked by a hoarvor or getting pulled by a strangler. It takes ages to get to a survey map there. I really don't like those three areas.

Totally agree. Surveys are so annoying in these three zones.

I usually have to make sure I have a drink (or two) before heading there and my phone handy because I end up looking for a video.
    Of course I like steak. I'm a Nord, aren't I?

Actually I enjoy the different terrains for different reasons and obstacles can be a challenge. However...Coldharbor is my least favorite because its depressing. Stonefalls is second because I've spent too may moments winding up in a lava pool :)

My favorite areas are Summerset and Elswehr.

Shadowfen for sure. Deshaan, by comparison, feels like the center of a major Tamrielilc civilization/theocracy. However, as you head south into the swamps of Shadowfen, you feel as if you've entered a land befit of civilization and power projection. If Shadowfen is considered to be the region of Black Marsh that has experienced the influence of more "Tamrielic" culture due its proximity to Morrowind, I'm afraid to imagine what the lands to the immediate south (the approximate center of Black Marsh) are like.

A distant second would be Stormhaven. There's nothing "wrong" with it per say, it's simply generic fantasy land on on top of generic fantasy. At least the other regions of High Rock sorta have a theme...
  • TheQueenOfWorms
Shadowfen. I don't like swamps and the enviroment in general. Never go there except when I'm doing the EP questline. Also don't like the quests there.

Stormhaven is my least favourite, although I still like it. It's just a bit bland looking in comparison to the other zones. And my least least favourite (i.e. my favourite) is probably Elsweyr or Clockwork City, if we're just talking appearances.

CWC. Even after all this time I still haven't accepted that an ugly post-apocalyptic nuclear wasteland filled with alien mutants, cyborgs, and androids belongs in an Elder Scrolls game. Add the part where it's populated with squealing fundamentalist groupies and ruled by a selfish jerk that has the knowledge and the ability to save many lives and make the world a better place but decides such knowledge is his and his alone to enjoy and I absolutely loathe that place.

Imperial City. It's such a shame. What a rich and interesting place. Great map. Interesting story. Huge bosses to keep us on our toes and jump-scare us after a tight corner in the sewers. And then there's that stupid PvPvE part where it just ruins it all. If we build for PvP we'll be slogging through the place because it takes forever to kill anything. If we build for PvE it'll still be a slog because we're slammed with the stupid Battle Spirit passive when all we wanna do is kill some NPCs. We don't go there for the PvP because there's hardly any of that. We don't go there for the PvE because of the above reasons. Literally the only thing that attracts players to that toxic pit is the Tel Var. Add insult to injury by making us lose them upon being ganked and it is the one zone in ESO I only visit if there is literally no other option.

For me, Stonefalls was my starter zone. I really dislike all the lava, gloomy skies, and volcanoes. It's hard to navigate because of so many obstacles. Coldharbour is also depressing and full of too many obstacles.

Any zone where the most obvious route to a quest, survey map, or other destination is made impossible by cliffs, ravines, or other obstacles. It's beyond irritating to ride toward your destination and be forced to go in the extreme wrong direction because of a mountain you can't climb. Wrothgar is one of the worst.

I thought that about Elsweyr until I found all the paths down into and up out of that annoying ravine down the center. You actually don't have to rely on the bridges or wayshrines to get around. But the number of enemies lurking in the ravine is really annoying when you're leveling up a character that hasn't been able to upgrade their mount far enough to avoid getting knocked off when pursued.

Also, any zone with stranglers is not among my favorites. You ride by so fast that you don't see the, only to have them forcibly pull you back to fight. Just. Leave. Me. Alone! If I want to engage you, I will!

Craglorn is another one with to many mountains and cliffs. Plus, I guess because you can get nirncrux from resource nodes, they seem to put a pack of enemies next to every ore and jewelry node! It gets tiresome having to fight every time you want to harvest anything.

Another one I forgot to mention: Vvardenfell. Partially because of, again, the volcanoes and lava creating too many obstacles. But quests and survey maps are so far away from wayshrines! They really need a few more wayshrines in Vvardenfell.

It's bad enough having to travel so far from a wayshrine to get where you need to go. But then you run into exasperating enemies like cliff racers and nix hounds. Haj mota and those nix oxes! They are the worst! As if that weren't bad enough, they put "private" areas between the wayshrines and destination areas, where you're trespassing if you go through but go way out of your way to go around. So annoying!

Malabal Tor because if you fall off a cliff you have to slowly swim back to land and climb back up...

Also Northern Elsweyr because of how badly far apart the wayshrines are and because of the elevation making you go around.

Take some time to really explore Elsweyr and you will find many paths on the sides of the big scar that will save you lots of time. You don't have to run to bridges or travel to wayshrines in many cases. I spend a lot of time traveling between dragon areas and have found many shortcuts. I do agree that they need a few more wayshrines in Elsweyr, but they have given us many paths in and out of that ravine. There are too many enemies in the ravine but if you can get around them you can run up and down the paths on the sides and save time.

I was actually thinking hard about which zone i dislike the most. To me there isn't really a terrible zone. I think they did pretty well with most of them and they all vary from meh to amazing. I did, however, forget about cyrodiil. I don't PvP so i will have to go with cyrodiil and thank you to the person who mentioned that zone. Hope we get a pve zone for cyrodiil one day perhaps with the shivering isles as a smaller zone too like artaeum and summerset because oblivion was my first TES game and i have so many fond memories of cyrodiil.

Add my vote for Shadowfen. Swamps. Bity, venomous things. Plus the vegetation hides all the things you want to find.

Murkmire didn't bug me as much, I think partially because there were some different plants there that I found interesting.

I really love Elsweyr, except for 1 thing--I really wish they'd fix the survey maps to match where the stuff actually is. And yes, it's all about finding the secret ways to cross the map quickly.

    Assume much, do you?

You'll be glad to find Alik'r ranks among the top zones for many players, going by previous polls. I myself like it a lot. The vast open areas of desert are a welcome change from overcrowded zones with artificial obstacles to make them seem larger than they actually are. The aesthetics are a matter of personal taste, I like the Redguard architecture.
