Today from 2:00-4:00pm EDT on the PTS, we'll be stress testing the changes that are currently active for the Activity Finder, which will be published in a future update. During this time, we’ll be keeping a close eye on the LFG system and its behavior, and some of the development team will even be queueing for dungeons with you! Remember, while the UI itself looks the same visually, the backend has been completely rewritten. This rewrite should make the Activity Finder much more reliable, especially under heavy load. Please be sure to review the known issues listed here.
Throughout the test, simply use the LFG system to queue for dungeons. You can queue up and play them as you normally would on the Live megaserver; nothing fancy necessary. While you're doing this, please take note of any odd behaviors you see that don't match what you would expect, including both UI and queueing issues. Specific feedback that the team is looking for includes the following:

Maybe do the stress test on the weekend, rather than the smack middle of the work week.
Anyhow, i doubt too many ppl will download 60+gb of pts client just for the stress test, without any incentive.
This will most likely have to be tested on live.
Same reason why Cyrodiil "fixes" dont get tested on pts, no one is there.3 -

No, the UI seemed fine though I did have to wait a long time to queue as tank. I'd spent several minutes waiting as tank which was unusual to me, given tanks are almost instantly queued on live in prime time. When I was in the premade queue instantly transitioned to Ready Check.

No, ready check was responsive.
If a member of your group left during a dungeon, did you encounter any issues finding a replacement?
N/A
Did you encounter any issues when the dungeon completed?
Yes. In one of our random groups we queued for the same dungeon we'd completed - Selene's Web. When we got ported in, we were ported into our old instance of the dungeon, not a fresh instance. This is a long-standing issue with LFG dungeon queuing.
Any additional comments or feedback?
Seems like improvements were made at the ready check state which has been long been the sticking point, however given that it took near 5 minutes for a tank to clear queue I wonder if we had enough people in the stress test to put the new system through its paces.3 -

On the other computer, I solo queued as a tank for a random vet. And either nobody else is queuing. Or something went wrong:

Any additional comments or feedback? - Even if the issue is still there, this new LFG tool seems to be MILES better than the one we have on live. Also, PTS server is super smooth, no server side stuttering like on EU live. Rustyfish101✭✭✭Queued for specific normals and got a ready check however it ended up getting stuck. Cannot leave the ready check or requeue. Pressed ready and noticed the role icons didn't show up and i had an additional notification. The ready check moved to notifications and even when I'd click ready there nothing happened. It's been sitting at 0 like this for about 5 minutes now. EDIT: It did fix itself eventually and put me back in the queue but probably not something that should make it to live.

Queued for several random dungeons, solo. First time went flawlessly, then several attempted groups failed to form, and I was stuck with a Ready Check notification that I couldn't clear.
No issues completing any of them, once the groups formed. Did have to find a replacement healer at one point, because let's face it, healers are flakey
It worked fine.

✭✭✭- Did you queue for random or specific dungeons? Random (both normal and vet). Queued as a DPS, the random normal popped almost instantly but I queued for the random vet twice and after 5-10 minutes did not get a group so I left the queue.

- Did you encounter any issues during the Ready Check? Accepting the queue behaved oddly. When it popped, I accepted, but I didn't see the normal 4-role indicator in the UI. The HUD still said "queued", and in my notifications, the notification for the queue pop didn't go away. I was able to repeatedly click the check-mark to accept the queue, with no feedback that I was actually accepting anything, but nonetheless eventually I joined the group and ported into the dungeon.

Only when queueing for the specifics. Got stuck in queue for about 10 minutes, exited queue and reentered and it popped immediately, after this happened I got the ready check issue again (twice in a row) and the game kicked me. Oddly long wait times for a healer also.

Yes, when queuing for specifics I got caught in an unresponsive ready check (see my previous comment).
