Too Much Healing in PVP

    ZOS is keep buffing PVP,

    Too much healing

    Too much High Damage

    Too much Tanky

    Too much mobility

    Too much CC/Snare Immunity

    @ZOS_BrianWheeler you should be participating in this event at Cyrodiil to see what PVP becomes now.

    20 players are trying to kill 2 players and keep failing!

    Even seem slike these players are PVP lag immune too@

    Everyone can super heal, whether you are in light armor, medium or heavy. This is killing PVP and pockets healers in organized/ball groups are mess!

    Current state of healing in PVP is broken, ZOS should reduce healing to 75% via Battle Sprit

    Perhaps it’s your damage (and or pen) and not so much the heals...perhaps.

    Wut? Heals scale poorly for tanks unless they are build like a healer. I am surprise a comment like this from you. How in the heck can a true tank build heal as well as a healer?

    I am not talking about a heal tank running with 3 DDs where all 4 players are skilled enough to not really need a full time healer in a 4 man dungeon because that heal tank is no where near as effective at healing and does not need to be.

    That is not what your comment alluded to. You seem to indicate that tanks can heal very well. Besides, OP is not really talking about healers heals. They are talking about a good PvP group with good healers. They work well together. When I run with a small group in PvP I run as a healer. We are hard to beat but we are disciplined, have good leaders.

    Against a good group the fight can last awhile. Against a bad group or one not setup very well the fight tends to be very short.

    I am referencing how twlight Maritach does better max Magicka a player. It's essentially just to easy to build for dps and healing in most cases.

    Im general though, I was saying he has a point. It's not just PvP, Healing in ESO is too powerful in many situations. It's what the root cause of healer relevence issue is about.

    We either get harder hitting things like brp or take hits across board below.

    I could not disagree with this logic more.

    The 3 damage dealers plus tank setup has more to do with dps balance issues than anything about healing. The damage ceiling is much higher than the floor in this game. The disparity is many times as wide as in other games. This makes it very difficult for zos to balance content. Making the content not a breeze for high dps usually means that brining in another dps who can do about 3-4x typical dps and foregoing a healer is going to make for a faster dungeon run.

    Your way of making a healer necessary would kill the solo play style that is the bread and butter of ESO.

    Healers already ARE necessary for the majority of players. Don’t worry about the really good dps (and really good tanks—who in fact are both tanks and healers and are the ones who make 1 tank plus 3 dd possible) who can pull this off. It would be silly of zos to balance the game around that. I know exactly ONE tank I could call on to tank a 1 T 3 DD vet dlc dungeon run. And that is one more tank than most players.

    I love my healer. She gets plenty of invites. Wanting to take away self heals to make healers feel more necessary is a selfish way of looking at the situation, and that is uncharacteristic of you.

    As for the original thread topic, healing in PVP, the devs can just disable healing completely for all I care. That seems to be what pvpers want, no way way to ever mitigate their damage. Fine whatever. Works both ways. And will get boring fast.

    Healing in this game as a whole is ridiculously easy and a lot of times people are over healing. This isn’t just a pvp issue but an overall game issue.

    You can even see that in PvE. Most healers except at the top level get by being brain-dead.
    A bad tank or a bad DPS shows, but a bad healer can hide quite well among capable players of other roles.

    And you can really see that when you enter content that is a little bit more difficult and brainlessly spamming healing springs with an occasional burst heal is no longer cutting it. 99.9% of the healers are in over their heads in situations like these.

    In my opinion the only aspect of healing that is broken is healing from allies. Self healing I think is generally in a good place.

    Agree, the issues is more about gameplay than numbers. If the skill celling of healing is to low it results in a less rewarding role/playstyle for players.

    But I doubt ZOS is able to fix that because we're talking about very basic game mechanics now. How targeting in this game works, low TTK, no cooldowns, yada yada...

    Fat tanks are just doing too much damage and doing too much healing. Shield stackers are healing too much, mainly 3 x shield stackers.
