It says "the first New Life Festival daily". So yes, that is only the special Event dailies given by Breda in Eastmarch:
    https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Breda
And yes, they involve copious amounts of running around. :D

Too bad then for those who farmed the Scalecaller and Fang Lair motif pages for income; hooray for the rest of us though! :)

Or those who spent gold buying them from other players, incl. 100k for the FL chests. Had been buying pages throughout the event (didn't use GF at all, just did dungeons for the tickets). Finished the last 3 I needed on the evening of the 5th (incl. FL chests), and this was posted a day later. :D

Not bitter, though, as those were the only 2 dungeon motifs I was lacking (well, now SD) and I'll probably only get just a few of SC/FL considering the loot table includes several other motifs.

So, I'm really happy for a chance at one of the pets, though I'm not really all that interested in any of them that much. But, maybe I'll get one of the houses. Hah...wishful thinking.

Thank you ZOS for this gesture toward the community!

The Nord quest is right in Eastmarch and takes about 5 minutes. Of course, you probably won't get that quest first.

No, but at least they sound mostly fun. I won't be able to do the timed ones (ever tried to run a timed anything with 2k ms lag? Can't be done....) And sure there will be a couple million other people - but you know what? That just means you will ALWAYS be able to find someone to play or dance with!

Yeah yeah.... I'm kind of a Pollyanna sometimes. Hey, give me a break - I'm going to be 71 in a few days.

I believe you are able to group up for the timed foot race quest. The quest giver suggests grouping if you arent fast enough.

Didnt bother reading through the full 6 pages of replies but i hope everyone appreciates the dev response here, its very considerate and thoughtful, especially after the pure vitriol given to them by some players and their threads.

Just wanted to add my appreciation of how ZOS have handled this. I don't think they could come up with a better all-round solution. Boxes are appreciated, but mostly the communication. Thank you ZOS!

I was quick to complain when I couldn't get in the DF on event launch, but kudos to you guys at ZOE for acknowledging the problems and offering a bonus with the next event. That's great customer service.

    Thank you!

As most of you know, the recently completed Undaunted Celebration Event in ESO was plagued with Activity Finder issues. We had similar problems last year, but we thought they were resolved - unfortunately this year the demand once again overwhelmed this particular system, especially during prime-time hours. This led to a really frustrating experience for many of you, so we are going to address the situation by making Mysterious Reward Boxes available during the New Life festival, which starts soon.

This is the way it will work: A Mysterious Reward Box will be given as a bonus reward for completing your first New Life daily quest each day, per account. This means that the first New Life Festival daily you complete on your account will grant one New Life Reward Box, one Event Ticket, and one Mysterious Reward Box. This should help grant you the rewards that you couldn't get through the Activity Finder.

Additionally, we will not hold another in-game event that requires the Activity Finder until we are 100% confident that the tool can support it. Stay tuned for details on that.

Well I made a comment about lessons needing to be learned about the group finder and this looks like a good solid response. Thanks.

Thank you Rich! Between my wife, my son*, and I, we only averaged about 1-box per account per day. And lots of time spent queuing.

*Being that he's only 4, I queued for my son. I wanted him to get his tickets and prizes... but wasn't sure he was up to pugging a dungeon with strangers. He's created his second character and is getting good at the basics. I think he's going to love the New Life Festival. Especially the bridge jumping.

Life is short. If you have not made love recently, please, put down this book, and take care of that with all haste. Find a wanton lass or a frisky lad, or several, in whatever combination your wise loins direct, and do not under any circumstances play hard to get. Our struggle against the colossal forces of oppression can wait.
    Good. Welcome back.
We Khajiit live and fight together, and our struggles will not end very soon, likely not in our lifetimes. In the time we have, we do not want our closest comrades to be dour, dull, colorless, sober, and virginal. If we did, we would have joined the Thalmor.
Do not begrudge us our lewd jokes, our bawdy, drunken nights, our moonsugar. They are the pleasures often denied to us, and so we take our good humor very seriously.
    Outfit slots are disgustingly expensive.

History, like a human being, is thirsty when it wakes from its slumber…History wants to drink up an enormous amount of blood. And even if history has tired of drinking blood, that’s only in regards to the amount. But what about quality? The larger the sacrifice is, the more delighted the cruel gods will be.

This? This right here? This is a perfect example of communicating with your community done right. More of this, ZOS, and we'll be in good shape going forward.

(Outside of the communication, which in my opinion is by far the most important part of this, the extra boxes are a nice touch as well.)

No. I'm sorry, but it is not. This is too little, too late. Some communication is better than no communication might fly for you, but honestly I'm not impressed.

The fact of the matter is that scores of people were complaining during the entirety of the event and there were absolutely no updates on the situation past the initial "we're looking into it". Now that the event is over we get an admission that it didn't go well and a compensation that is far from equivalent to what you might have got if the event had worked without fault. I mean, it was probably a mistake to give away one crate per character per day originally, but that's what ZOS went with.

Call me cynical, but this post, not long after the announcement that ZOS was "revamping" its communication and after the deafening silence during the Undaunted event, makes me feel that they just want us to let it go already. I don't get any kind of feeling like they care about the community or are going to be particularly concerned with resolving the group finder issues.

Thank you! <3 I was basically unable to do the event for the first 2 days (due to the issues involved ), so I really do appreciate the extra chances to pick up some more fun event loot!

I think you are doing the wise thing by not doing another event that uses this feature until further notice. I also hope you intend to address the dungeon hopping exploit , (which was actually more frustrating for me) , as well as the technical problems.

I am looking forward to the New Life Festival, and hope you all have a happy holiday season!

If they wanted to let it go or didn't care, they wouldn't have posted this. They would have let it go and not said anything... as they've done several times in the past.

This doesn't make everything right, or erase the poor communication that came before. I also never claimed as much. But it absolutely is an example of what they should have been doing all along and what they should continue to do in the future. It's a start, and that counts for something. Hopefully they build on this moving forward.
