Yeah yeah.... I'm kind of a Pollyanna sometimes. Hey, give me a break - I'm going to be 71 in a few days.

We had similar problems last year, but we thought they were resolved - unfortunately this year the demand once again overwhelmed this particular system, especially during prime-time hours. This led to a really frustrating experience for many of you, so we are going to address the situation by making Mysterious Reward Boxes available during the New Life festival, which starts soon.
This is the way it will work: A Mysterious Reward Box will be given as a bonus reward for completing your first New Life daily quest each day, per account. This means that the first New Life Festival daily you complete on your account will grant one New Life Reward Box, one Event Ticket, and one Mysterious Reward Box. This should help grant you the rewards that you couldn't get through the Activity Finder.
Additionally, we will not hold another in-game event that requires the Activity Finder until we are 100% confident that the tool can support it. Stay tuned for details on that.

Thank you Rich! Between my wife, my son*, and I, we only averaged about 1-box per account per day. And lots of time spent queuing.
*Being that he's only 4, I queued for my son. I wanted him to get his tickets and prizes... but wasn't sure he was up to pugging a dungeon with strangers. He's created his second character and is getting good at the basics. I think he's going to love the New Life Festival. Especially the bridge jumping.

(Outside of the communication, which in my opinion is by far the most important part of this, the extra boxes are a nice touch as well.)

No. I'm sorry, but it is not. This is too little, too late. Some communication is better than no communication might fly for you, but honestly I'm not impressed.
The fact of the matter is that scores of people were complaining during the entirety of the event and there were absolutely no updates on the situation past the initial "we're looking into it". Now that the event is over we get an admission that it didn't go well and a compensation that is far from equivalent to what you might have got if the event had worked without fault. I mean, it was probably a mistake to give away one crate per character per day originally, but that's what ZOS went with.
Call me cynical, but this post, not long after the announcement that ZOS was "revamping" its communication and after the deafening silence during the Undaunted event, makes me feel that they just want us to let it go already. I don't get any kind of feeling like they care about the community or are going to be particularly concerned with resolving the group finder issues.
