The Place by Tony Walsh Please Read
This is the place in the North West of England

It’s ace, it’s the best and the songs that we sing

From the stands, from our bands set the whole planet shaking

Our inventions are legends! There’s nowt we can’t make and

So we make brilliant music. We make brilliant bands

We make goals that make souls leap from seats in the stands

And we make things from steel and we make things from cotton

And we make people laugh, take the mick summat rotten

And we make you at home and we make you feel welcome

And we make summat happen, we can’t seem to help it

And if you’re looking for history then yes, we’ve a wealth

But the Manchester way is to make it yourself

And make us a record, a new number one

And make us a brew while you’re up, love. Go on!

And make us feel proud that you’re winning the league

And make us sing louder and make us believe it

that this is the place that has helped shape the world

And that this the place where a Manchester girl

Name of Emmeline Pankhurst from the streets of Moss Side

Led a Suffragette City with sisterhood pride

And this is the place with appliance of science

We’re on it, atomic, we strut with defiance

In the face of a challenge we always stand tall

Mancunians in union delivered it all

Such as housing and libraries, and health, education

And unions and co-ops, the first railway station

So we’re sorry! Bear with us! We invented commuters!

But we hope you forgive us – we invented computers!

And this is the place Henry Royce strolled with Rolls

And we’ve rocked and we’ve rolled with our own Northern Soul

And so this is the place to do business, then dance

Where go-getters and goal setters know they’ve a chance

And this is the place where we first played as kids

And me Mam lived and died here, she loved it she did

And this is the place where our folks came to work

Where they struggled in puddles, they hurt in the dirt

And they built us a city. They built us these towns

And they coughed on the cobbles to the deafening sound

Of the steaming machines and the screaming of slaves

They were scheming for greatness, they dreamed to their graves

And they left us a spirit, they left us a vibe

The Mancunian Way to survive and to thrive

And to work and to build, to connect and create and

Greater Manchester’s greatness is keeping it great

And so this is the place now we’ve kids of our own

Some are born here, some drawn here but we all call it home

And they’ve covered the cobbles, but they’ll never defeat

All the dreamers and schemers who still teem through these streets

Because this is a place that has been through some hard times

Oppressions, recessions, depressions and dark times

But we keep fighting back with Greater Manchester spirit

Northern grit, northern wit in Greater Manchester’s lyrics

And there’s hard times again in these streets of our city

But we won’t take defeat and we don’t want your pity

Because this a place where we stand strong together

With a smile on our face, Mancunians Forever

And we’ve got this* as the place where a team with a dream (*Forever Manchester)

Can get funding and something to help with their scheme

Because this is the place that understands your grand plans

We don’t do No Can Do, we just stress Yes We Can!

Forever Manchester’s a charity for people round ‘ere

You can fundraise, donate. You can be a volunteer

You can live local, give local. We can honestly say

We do charity differently, that Mancunian Way

And we fund local kids, and we fund local teams

We support local dreamers to work for their dreams

We support local groups and the great work they do

So can you …help us help… local people like you?

Because this is the place in our hearts, in our homes

Because this is the place that’s a part of our bones

‘Cos Greater Manchester gives us such strength from the fact

That this is the place. We should give something back.

Always remember. Never forget. Forever Manchester.

Nope. They're trashing the game, as far as I'm concerned. After two years, I've found an upcoming expansion I just don't care about. I've dropped my sub from six month to monthly to see how this all shakes out, but right now I'm not confident.

Nerfmire feels worse then Morrowind disaster. They deleted Sorcs from PvP. They took away movement speed from stam classes.

I wish they wouldnt put this update live so i can still enjoy my speed pots and my magsorc :(

As a PvPer mainly i go straight to Cyro changes & balance. And i get angry as id like to see more Dev notes. More detail on why they are changing each element.

If its from feedback or data or what.

Then i re read the whole lot. Generally it feels the pace of change is too fast on things that alter playstyle & build. Yet the rate of change on bug fix, broken skills or OP skills like cage takes 3 months

Id like to feel the class reps are listened to. Rather than A,B,C fed back and they change D which breaks E & F lol

In general, patch notes are exciting.

These notes are just depressing. Showcasing just how out of touch the devs are with the players. The last time we got a patch this bad was Morrowind.

Morrowind was going to be an exciting thing. New class, nostalgia, everything. And then the combat changes killed it completely. The days before Morrowind, there was a frantic rush to get people cleared in content because people knew that vMoL HM would be out of reach post-Morrowind (and for many players, it was out of reach until power creep from subsequent patches undid some of the damage from Morrowind).

The same thing's going on here. There are groups that are pushing to get things like vCR HM clears or achievements like IR, GH, or TTT before the combat changes--which are wildly out of tune with the reality of much of ZOS's latest endgame content--take effect and make such thing considerably harder.

Being a class Rep i can clearly see your fishing, hopefully its not as bland as the fishing in game.

All i can add is something needs to be done, about the huge change's they make while dropping a new DLC, with a new arena, and all the one shot mechanics, that lets face it, if your not in the top 5% of players, your not likely to finish it on vet.

I also need to add, that i was very willing to change from PS4 to PC, built a new rig, was ready to go and buy it, then the patch notes, which im glad i read before hitting the purchase button, it stopped me buying the game on PC and made me unsub on PS4.

    Destructive change's destroy player bases.

Disappointed... they are nerfing classes and abilities to balance PvP which is an important part of the game, but still just one part. They should separate the skills PvE-PvP. They are taking out the fun from playing certain classes, having certain sets, gimmicks and so on. Classes lose their unique feel, soon it won't matter what class you play, it will feel all the same, which is very very wrong for a game that has RPG at its core.

Also, sets won't have a distinctive feel, it is just how much resource/regen/bonus stat they give.. going this way you can remove the concept of sets all together and just add a combination of res/regen/bonus on your CP panel or whatever.. so it is sad. I start to care less and less about pvp because of these changes, probably will move on to something else

Same goes for a lot of people who liked game, but problem is that those people decide to go to most toxic place of ESO known as "forum", and reading it slowly killing their hype. That's why alot of people who play game for long stopped even coming in such place. Read patchnotes and get out from site as fast as possible is most safe action if you wana your mood to not be killed.

I guess getting back to your point @Tasear , if the balance notes and the patch notes were seperate i'd say I enjoy the patch notes - i.e. the last two there have been loads of PVP change. Thats kinda cool!

And i'd love to be looking forward to the patch to get into PVP and see these bridges / milegates in action etc etc - however i'm not. I'm sat working out if to persevere with my main (very attached) and that even if I can make it work if it will be fun. As after all thats why I play.

if the two things were seperate yes i'd be hyped reading the notes.

Every patch of this pts patch had destroyed my motivation to play the game more and more.

Patch 4.2 : oh they're completely destroyed light armour and shields in pvp and even shafted medium builds? They're so out of touch with their game its unreal. Oh looks there a new OP broken Xv1 set again, got to sell that dlc.

4.2.1: Not much really changed, they attempted to try and act of the disastrous first patch, not much changed though, Xv1 set got a very small a minor nerf when it pretty much needs redesigning completely.

4.2.2: Oh they're made it worse again. Lets have everyone run around as snails and get dog piled by zergs becase we can't go away now. Oh? They're not nerfed ball groups? Cool. Again with the whole 'they clearly don't know their own game'.

So yeah, patch notes usually make or break a patch for me.

I want to see many things in ESO. I hope some of changes we will get in Murkmire will be the step in the right direction. Shield changes in latest PTS iteration seem interesting for me and I will for sure play more magicka based characters than I did prior to Murkmire, if they do not revert them more to cater ppl unwilling to adapt. Changes to movement might make PvP bit more slow paced for solo or small scale groups, I am yet to decide will I participate in any PvP outside BGs. I am glad that some of the changes will make healers more needed for dungeon content than now. Also, due to changes to roll dodge timing will make it a more interesting part of the game, forcing players to use it in pin point accuracy to be effective. There are changes I dislike and I gave up on expecting any real things on that department, since zos seem to not value any feedback outside what we think about X skill and Y change to it. So no suggestions how skills should work or changes to passives do even interest zos. I guess we will see big balancing changes every patch or two.

Thing I dislike the most is that every patch we get one completely broken set, from the category of "cancer" ones.
Soldier of Anguish will be just that. We got sloads this year as well, zaan and similar bs. There is zero need for that.

Best update since Morrowind (if bg q will be actually working for high mmr chars).
And legions of forum warriors addicted to their broken stuff crying that it end of the world won't change it.

The question is how patch notes affect people's hype over new content coming.

Patch notes themselves do not affect the hype

What the dev are doing with the game or crownstore is affecting the hype, for instance outfit were ruined for me when i saw the insulting price in the store for character bounds slots

MistKes or decisions like this kill the hype
