Thanks for clearing that up, that makes it better for DC in the end. Loving that update more then!

Patch note spoiler...since this has come up several times in several different threads...Niben River has been widened in various locations and the shore lines adjusted so there are no ways out of the river. Also Slaughterfish damage has been doubled in Cyrodiil.

Since it’s an Argonian patch, how about a “thick scale” passive that makes us immune to slaughterfish dmg....plz...

@ZOS_BrianWheeler While you are at it, can your team address the free Res Camps (Cropsford / Valastrus) in AD territory?

Can one be moved slightly so as not so much of an advantage to DC and EP when "Purple" happens and AD gets routinely swarmed with the easy ressing EP and DC.

It's a small item that strategically becomes huge at times.

Do you mean impassible area overall(like destroyed bridge) or just its collapsed levels are still impassible zone with still only passible entrance in the middle?

    @ZOS_BrianWheeler
    Thanks for the information :)

I know I asked an unrelated question earlier(new alliance ranks and all that) and I understand it if you don't answer.
But here is a more relevant question:
Is Update 20 will have a campaign alliance lock ?
Many players have been asking to implement a lock so players won't swap to other alliance at will.
A response regarding campaign alliance lock will be greatly appreciated! :)
    This feature is really needed.

Yet another improvement to 'Horse Simulator' and kick in the teeth for AvA PvP due to it taking even longer to get to the battle with increased chance of getting no reward

If anything moves should be in place to get players to the action not stop them getting there!

I doubt it. Bridges and milegates will now be down 100% unless they get zerg repaired. The groups that Xv1 at resources will now camp the new smaller crossings. Since there are now no alternate routes to bypass the zerg everyone will HAVE to go through the choke points. That means more zergs, not less.

I'm all in favor of new stuff, but eliminating the pressuere relief valves is going to make people blob up.

Initially I was excited by the changes, but now the more I think about them, the more skeptical I feel about those destructible milegates and bridges I'm starting to worry that this will greatly slow down the action on the map even on a very active campaign like Vivec. On the lower population campaigns, I fear this will completely kill the action in them: collapse all borders.

Sure, there are ways to get around, but this will; mean even MORE stinking Horse Riding Simulator, something I'm starting to get really tired of personally. So I might end up saying "forget it" if the only way to find any action is to spend 10 minutes riding around a collapsed milegate.

I'd be interested to know how many Goat Paths / Tunnels there are. If it's only one per border, that's going to be a very interesting place to be when the bridges/gates are down. Based on the Goat Path being at Lunar Fang Docks, I would speculate the tunnels to be between Carmala Outlook and Weynon Priory (map), and near Sedor (map)

as a matter of fact to Zo$ devs who came up with this idea...where was this initiative back the days when pvp was at its peak in the 1st year and we had BRIDGE FIGHTS THAT WERE LASTING FOR WEEKS constant fighting ??? and you bring this now for what? if you just want to remove textures just simply remove them and say idk...an ash titan fell from the sky while getting sick for flying in circles around imperial throne and seeing the IC empty for over 3 years and they crumbled beyond repair due to the amount of slaugtherfish...

Yes the Emp ring passages will be impassable...the secondary and outer passages will become the regular routes. Besides DeadSpawning to the Towns that is.

An interesting twist will be Defensively siege’n passages to block Scroll runs...what all can be done n how quickly will depend on the Health of the Structures...

There's an idea. You can buy siege, why not buy boats. Once put down, they can not be picked up, and can carry up to 10 people across the river. Have them last only a few minuets, just long enough to cross the river or up/down stream.

Imagine the different strategy. You could cross the river down stream from the bridge, or launch in the river around the IC island. The slaughter fish will cause a lot of damage to the boat so you couldn't go sightseeing, you would have to be serious about where you were going.

Feel bad for daggerfall though, think they just got open has the main target for both AD and EP, given don't think they have has many critical bridges in that side of the map more gates though that are crtical

yea itll kill dc as a playable faction zos is just killing their game now.........this is great their putting the coffin nails in by themselves
    DuskMarine wrote: »
@ZOS_BrianWheeler rip daggerfall covenant. thanks for killing my main faction since theres no point to repairing the bridge so ad and ep will just collide on us together thanks giving even less incentive to go into pvp even more than the lag and bugs.

JFC. So much crying before the full extent of the changes is even revealed. Some people take this game way too seriously.

you count it as crying when its the cold hard truth. nobodys gonna repair that bridge for free. which will make open season on dc a grim reality. meaning dc vs a ad zerg and ep zerg completely unstopped by the other faction. if you condone this then this game is going to die cause itll only get worse from here.

you do know that the gates between DC and AD and DC and EP will also be blocking the walkthrough when destroyed? So if you destroy one of those they'll be just as much of a hinderance to other factions as the river underneath the bridges.

You do not get AP for repairing bridges or milegates.

Thank you for the clarification. While I worry about a lack of incentive to repair bridges, infinite AP is worse by far.

Meh. Bridges ceasing to exist due to never being repaired actually impacts the gaming experience.

Then again, people serious about getting their zerg across will repair the bridge.

On the map they showed us one of the Mile Gate icons had a big black X on it. I'm guessing that means it was blocked. Another of the Mile Gate icons had an exclamation mark on it which could indicate it was taking damage.
