Each faction has a total of six entryways to their territory, three for access to each other territory. All the EP-AD accesses are bridges, every other access point is a milegate, for a total of 9 access points. It's been balanced from the start, with the slight addendum that some areas of the Nibben are crossable without a bridge. But it sounds like they're changing that, too.

if i understand this correctly they will be for cut off points, so if you cant pass over bridges i assume you cant pass under gates, if they are broken

either way as long as i can break alessia bridge to keep the greenies off it and doing something useful idc lol

might want to make it so that you cant repair id friendly siege is hitting it if it is not implemented already ;););)

You do not get AP for repairing bridges or milegates.

Will there be a "Builder of Bridges" title for repairing X amount of bridges?

While repairing these Bridges we should be either immune to enemy fire (kind of neutral flag) or have some protective buffs applied, like +100% damage reduction or +100% damage reflection back to enemy, as a reply to gankers.
Without it, no point in repairing and I won't do it for sure.

Also if the bridges cannot be repaired under enemy fire, does it mean that a single siege on one side can stop entire army from repairing that bridge?

c'mon AP daddy - feed us!!!

Now I want this to be his title on ESO live(s) Brian Wheeler - AP Daddy

As they are currently implemented, they will not self repair over time.

Is there a future possibility to give factions the ability to own bridges and gates, where we could get ticks, and AP for repair?

So, why wouldn't repairing bridges provide AP.

How does the repairing of the bridge differ significantly from repairing a keep wall/door?

Since bridges are more out in the open than keeps, wouldn't it make more sense for them to offer AP for repairs than even keep walls/doors? (I maintain both should).

    :)

I like how it sounds already. Even if the bridges are destroyed most of the time you can either choose to take the long way around down south until you get tired enough of it and repair, or you can repair and assault Alessia immediately. The choke on the goat path will be amazing for small groups who want to farm the cupcake zerglings in cyrodiil and the stragglers will be good AP for solo players. The terrain there should be interesting enough we have good LOS.

Only if drake is cut off though. Just takes a bit more time on horse or using potion, or coward set to go there now. Basically the points and play map for the pvp area just became more predictable.

ok then you can take this as a delayed bridge removal decision cuz im pretty sure nobody will spend tons of gold and even more loads of AP to repair a bridge+ time to repair it while others will just break it down in a few seconds :V
Yes, only reason to repair them would be to bring them down then enemy is on them.
Grinding just make you go in circles.

People are forgetting just how narrow the river is at Alessia. You don't need the bridge to cross, people just jump across with their mounts. Its a common tactic to bypass the farmers.

EP vs DC most of the time
No AP is surprising as repairing door and wall does provide AP (at a huge cost since the AP you get back is minimal compared to actual AP cost of repair kits)
Maybe some Bob the Builder casuals will bother repairing in prime time or the small night capping groups that dont want to cross the river

Nice presentation vid... just to end the preview with an attempt to a positive thing

Would like to know if we get another daily for taking outposts since there will be more of them in game?

    Random thoughts.

People seem to be missing the point that bridges/gates need to be repaired to allow a large force to cross into another factions territory.

Goat tracks are almost single file tunnels, walkway. Not suitable for moving a large force.

The map indicates the status of the "gates" so going to faregyl lumbermill to farm ap will be spotted as you cross.

Holding respawn points in enemy territory will be the prime objective.

'Oh you want to use goat path? Boom!'
'Oh you want to use the tunnel under the mountain? Boom!'

Boom, boom, boom.... gankers everywhere. easy AP. No more keep fights.
