Crown Crates on the PTS

Why can't we buy (for 1 gem) the things from crown crates on the PTS? Just give us a surplus of 5k crown gems, and make everything cost 1 gem so we can test things out before buying them.

I seem to remember they stopped because people were making videos of themselves opening crown crates on the PTS and then bad-mouthing the crates.

I would really love this! I would also love to test any store items, even those which are no longer available or those which were datamined. Testing how an item dyes, how a mount sounds - this helps me to decide if I would wish to have this item on live server.

ZOS didn't want people opening lots on PTS to determine drop rates so after the initial test of crates (which still limited you heavily as they were not discounted) they have not had any crate stuff on PTS. It didn't work by the way. Crowncrates.com came and assembled the most statistically useful crown drop rates ever.

If the problem is people determining drop rates, they could just give us Crown Gems in addition to Crowns and allow us to purchase the individual items. This would open up everything except the Radiant Apex mounts and the Resplendent Sweetroll.
