I am on Mediacom and still can not get it to finish. I have been trying to log in since last night and I am now only able to get to 12%. I have been trying alot because I am really interested in getting the 100k gold end of month for daily reward. It is going to suck if I miss it because I was not able to log in a day... I don't think that is really right.

I was having the same problem on Spectrum.

I fixed it by manually downloading the 2 files as suggested by cbrking and eckertt001.

Since it appeared to be isp related I tried changing my dns to use Google's dns (8.8.8.8) but it didn't help.

This work around worked for me 1pm EST 9/5

If you are having the exact same problem mentioned, as in you ran the game consultant and got the whitelist error repeated a million times, this might work. Just patch using a VPN. Launcher just strait up doesn't crash. Funny how easily the blue bar went 0 - 100% patched compared to the hours of frustration yesterday.

No problem with WAVE Broadband which is a fiber network. We have fiber to the premises and I have 250MB provisioning to my GB router.

    Definitely ISP related.

I am in Hawaii on Spectrum, had the issue.
Switched to a connection via another ISP* (Hawaiian Tel) and was able to patch, load and claim my dailies.

*(I am fortunate I maintain two ISPs)

is Hawaiian Tel better? use to have it a few years ago but it was pretty bad on Maui so i switched back to TWC. I see the packages are cheaper then what i'm paying.

I'm just hoping this get fixed before i get home from work.

If anyone is interested, I was able to find a work around. You need 2 files you can download by clicking the links below: 'game_player_293to294.z01' and 'depot_248to249.z01'.

    http://142.129.4.67:80/data/07a8ac6f64dc6069/live.patcher.elderscrollsonline.com/products/eso/874DCDCF-C40C-4956-92FE-E39B8DC4764E/depot/depot_248to249/depot_248to249.z01

These files go into separate folders within '\The Elder Scrolls Online\depot' and '\The Elder Scrolls Online\game'. I do not recall what the folders were called, however if you search within 'The Elders Scrolls Online' folder, you should find files with the same name, that Windows identifies as 'Partial Download'.

You will have to kill the Launcher process a couple of times to make sure everything kicks in.

Can confirm this works, just a simple drag and drop. Launcher opened up, applied the patch super quick and I'm ingame now with no issues. You don't need to delete any files, just drag and drop them into the respective folders [Look for files named the same as the ones you download]

Alright, It wont let me submit a ticket because i cant run the game consultant because the launcher doesnt work. I guess i'll try to manually do this, but really we shouldn't have to.

Just tried this manual repair but doesn't work for me exact same issue still occurs as soon as the launcher attempts to verify files it starts eating all my ram and becomes non-responsive.

Ok, I just deleted and reinstalled ESO (not through steam) and it updated fine and launcher now works. Still get random drops to log in screen though. Still hoping they fix that

Wish that could work for me but it didn't launcher does the exact same thing on a fresh install as it did while trying to get the patch.
Probably no point in me checking this thread until the next maintenance since there is zero chance of them actually fixing anything before then.

I have several theories but without knowing the exact design and utilization of akamai I can't say definitively what the issue is.

Their are routing features for anti-ddos attacks that could route traffic differently then optimal (but reliably) and changes to the route that aren't propagated or whitelisted properly could cause this.

That's where it gets tricky to narrow it down.

It's been a while since I hacked anything, I have no idea what any of you are talking about.

    depot_233to235.z01

What dahelz is that? How do I fix it? Why is yours 248 and mine 235?

Can someone upload these 3 files to media fire so we can drag and drop for the launcher to work? My ISP is Charter Spectrum. But I live in the Hawaiin Islands so it's not like we have any open market for good providers. I also made my own thread, earlier, and I remember this is not the first time I'm threading about it.

Honestly Hawaiian it’s I really don’t think it’s our spectrum. Everything was working fine last night for me and since the serves went down last night and the little patch today. Now I can’t download anything.

So much so I went on other mmo games like warframe and wow. Updates no problem this is a problem on their end.

I tried everything since I got off work and that was 5 hours ago. Trying one last time before I stop.

As I mentioned earlier, different patches can be stuck for each person so you have to download and fix the patch that your launcher is stuck on. One size does not fit all.

Background explanation - some of the logs seem to point to akamai which is a popular software used to handle data and which lives on most installations of Windows.

You have to add a file into the file attachment then the button will show.

I seriously hope not cause thats a whole week. I did everything you did as well and also followed everything people have mentioned and no success. I'm hoping they figure something out before the weekend cause this isn't right.

@Rekt_gaming Try deleting the partial files and make sure you download the files the launcher is stuck on in the logs. Although one person gave a link, you have to remember that if you are behind a patch that could get stuck as well. So it's not the same for everyone!

If @eckertt001 fix does not work you need to review logs, as this may not apply to everyone. Especially if you tried reinstalling the whole game. Your client will then have to update through more patches than just the 9/4 patch and could get stuck on any of those.

Try pulling the url from your host dev logs, we really can't say how these URL's are generated, how long they are valid for, what OS (mac or PC) they were intended for, and if they work for everyone. so safest way is use the URL your specific client was attempting.

For instance, the IP's I"m seeing in the latest example from another poster aren't the same as the ones in my logs.

A day and a half, i tried to fix it on my own.....that was pointless....then i tried the advice given in this thread, appreciated the help but it did not solve the issue.

i deleted the game, and reinstalled and now it seems to work.

tid bit, 1 and a half year ago this was the SAME issue i had, and that made me stop playing. hope this is not a sign of history repeating itself...spend more time fixing then playing......dont like spending 4 hours redownloading the game over and over again.

    crosses fingers, legs, eyes.
