    Way of the Air

    Wilderqueen's Arch

    Almalexia's Mercy

    Galerion's Revenge

    Lamia's Song

    Magicka Furnace

    Stendarr's Embrace

    Undaunted Weaver

    Medusa

... i dont think I've ever even seen these.

Way of Air + Senche + Tactitian and Exploiter passves… you've never PvPed if you've never died to this. Air + Sentry and you can get close enough to see enemies but they cannot yet see you. Amazing anti-ambush combo set to guard breaches, siege, etc.

Undaunted Unweaver + Queen's Elegance + (psijiic skill) Elemental Weapon = light attacks you do not want to get hit with... if you ever die to a machine gun of ice staff light attacks and wonder how in hell?

Stendarr's set: "(5 items) When you heal a friendly target, you have a 50% chance to remove 5 negative effects from them. This can happen no more than once every 30 seconds." Unquestionably useful in pvp

Galerion's I've literally never seen used but always imagined it being used with some sort of weird pair of casters, the other wearing Destructive Mage. Is the proc of Galerion's a little AoE?

I think Wilderqueen is also useful in PvP. The effect cannot be purged as long as you have a bow skill on. It's pretty useful for slowing zerg balls down that are too dumb to know the set effect is immediately reapplied as long as they are in the range of arrow barrage. Also good for slowing these speed builds down with poison injection...

Edit: At least last I checked (before current patch).

Pfft. I love my Sithis Touch and Adept Rider combo. I leave it white, training and unenchanted so its not too OP you know.

Sometimes I swap it for 12 pieces of oblivions foe, and I dont even slot soul trap on any bar.

Too many , ZOS believed that they couldn't improve the old sets or no one would like to buy new DLC and chapter .

    Ice Furnace
(2 items) Adds 1096 Max Magicka
(3 items) Adds 833 Spell Critical
(4 items) Adds 129 Weapon Damage
(5 items) When you deal direct damage with a Frost Damage ability, you have a 50% chance to deal an additional 1046 Flame Damage to all enemies within 8 meters around the initial target. This effect can occur once every 1 second.

(5 items) When you use Blade of Woe, you gain Major Berserk for 20 seconds, increasing your damage done by 25%.

Yes, this is without any doubt the most ridiculous set.

If you stay in sneak your blade one shots every target anyway.
If you are getting caught your damage increase is useless against all guards.

This set is useful in IC. You oneshot some mob and then get huge damage buff to use against players in there.

Oh, ok, i didn't know the blade is working there.

Thx! Forget my post and sorry for that.

Pretty much all the vMA sets--with the exception of Winterborn--are trash. My very first vMA clear yielded a Helm of Glory from the final chest (back in the days when vMA weapons were not guaranteed drops).

@Universe ROTFL! Kag is not underused. It's a niche set with a unique effect not found on any other set. Taking that effect away and giving it just more dumb stats defeats the whole point of Kag. You obviously have no bloody idea how or why people use the set. Hell, even Hodor was using Kag when they got their first Asylum HM clear...

@Latios The obvious answer would be: Not everyone is a vampire--too much hassle, too ugly, want to be a werewolf, etc. There are a lot of people who crafted that set for Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood, because that's easier than (and better-looking) than vamping.

Willows Path was broken for the first 3 years of the game. By the time it got fixed, just became completely irrelevant.

I would vote for essence thief also. Many people tried it and couldn’t figure it out. Looks great on paper, but the essence to capture lands in some precarious spots. If you even know what it is you’re looking for.

Spell damage applies to healing as well, you don't have to be "damaging" for it to apply to how strong your heals are. So it adds strength to the entire restoration tree. What makes this set extremely bad is that healers don't build into just their healing springs and such.

I consider the 5th bonus of this set trash:
    Kagrenac's Hope:
    Current:

(2 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Magicka
(3 items) Adds 129 Magicka Recovery
(4 items) Adds 1206 Maximum Health
(5 items) Decrease time to resurrect an ally by 25%. When you successfully resurrect an ally, you restore 1720 Magicka.
(5 items) Adds 222 Spell Damage

No one cares about the time to resurrect an ally.
ZOS can change Kagrenac's Hope 4th and 5th bonuses to the following and by doing so a new magicka sustain set with fine damage will be born:
    New:
    Kagrenac's Hope(craftable, 8 traits):
(4 items) Adds 833 Spell Critical
5 items: You are imbued with the hope of Kagrenac. When You deal damage, you have 10% chance to increase your magicka recovery by 350 for 10 seconds.
5 items: You are imbued with the hope of Kagrenac. When You deal damage, you have 10% chance to increase your spell damage by 400 for 10 seconds.

What? Kagrenac has been a staple in organized PVP and progression groups. It certainly has its place and is definitly not underused.

Well maybe some use it, but I still consider it's 5th bonus useless since most of the time the 25% faster resurrection isn't used.
The 25% faster resurrection is not making a lot of difference.
One can slot better sets and achieve much higher stats.

I haven’t done it recently, but I have saved numerous groups from wiping in PVE and turned the tide in PVP battles with my Breton Templar using this set.

Does this mean that people actually use Thunderbug's Carpace? Because I do on my tank when I quest etc.

(2 items) Adds 2975 Physical Resistance
(3 items) Adds 2975 Spell Resistance
(4 items) Adds 129 Spell Damage
(5 items) When you take Physical Damage, you have a 50% chance to deal 5160 Shock Damage in a 5 meter radius around you. This effect can occur once every 3 seconds.

The set is really neat when you don't do much damage and get pounded on a lot (dolmen, public dungeons and the like).

    Thunderbug's is pretty solid, imo.

I used to run around Cyrodiil on a Thunderbug+Storm Knight+Grothdar buid. It's not super strong, but occasionally everything lines up and you get a nice blender going.

Honestly since the spell damage bonus from light speaker is affected by major sorcery that might actually be stronger then I anticipated. I mean that’s what like 580 * 1.2 = 696. That’s pretty good amount of spell damage all things considered.

I mean, it's not great but people do use it occasionally.

The problem is mainly that healers don't need that much spell damage, as you end up just overhealing. Eyes of Mara, for instance, is similarly locked to only impacting resto staff skills, but actually helps with sustain and is a bit more useful (imo).

A very versatile magicka set. No procs, but good stats imho

(2 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Magicka
(3 items) Adds 129 Magicka Recovery
(4 items) Adds 1206 Maximum Health
(5 items) Decrease time to resurrect an ally by 25%. When you successfully resurrect an ally, you restore 1720 Magicka.
(5 items) Adds 222 Spell Damage

We got health, mag, rec and sd

And on top of that a 25% faster time for rezzing other people, which stacks with Battle rez.

Eh, there are a bunch of trash sets in ESO. Trying to decide which is the most underused is difficult, because most likely a lot of the sets posted here are actually not used by anyone at all.
If I had to pick one, I'd say 5 piece Night's silence: Why waste a 5-piece bonus when you can just get that as a Vampire?

    Night's Silence
(2 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Stamina
(3 items) Adds 129 Stamina Recovery
(4 items) Adds 833 Weapon Critical
(5 items) Ignore the Movement Speed penalty of Sneak.

and it used to be SUCH a good set, before the speed nerf(s).

And for magicka the Shadow Dancer's Raiment is also pretty good for sneaking:

(2 items) Adds 1096 Max Magicka
(3 items) Adds 1096 Max Magicka
(4 items) Adds 129 Spell Damage
(5 items) Ignore movement speed penalty while sneaking.
(5 items) Adds 129 Stamina Recovery

Only difference between being a vampire and these sets is:

A vampire's speed starts as soon as you crouch.

The sets speed start not until the eye is closed

I came up with a character who used this set as a centerpiece of their concept. I played them for about an hour, which was long enough to realize that the proc rate on the set is beyond terrible. As much as I focus on character design and concept in my gaming, I like my characters to be good at what they do at the same time. That wasn't going to happen with this set. Character deleted, idea scrapped. A fix for this set would be easy - change it to "when you deal damage" period, and add a cooldown to the spawn so it can't have a 100% up time.

While Endurance isn't as useful as Agility and willpower, the IC sets still have a great use as a 2 piece for builds that run one set on one bar only. For example, 5 automaton on body, 3 jewelry+2H of Sword Singer (the one that buffs 2H) with backbar DW...no point in running 5x Sword Singer on the DW bar, but if you don't like or don't have access to any arena 2 pieces, Agility would be a pretty effecient backbar 2piece.

I do the same kind of thing with Eyes of Mara on my resto bar, and 2x Willpower on my sword and board bar on magplar.

Admittedly, Endurance is probably the lowest valued for any of these kind of setups.

Carry Eternal Warrior, Immortal Warrior, and Phoenix. Use an Addon to swap them all around between each fight.

Now you get 1 free death per fight, with effectively no cooldown (2x 10 minute cooldowns, 1x20 minute cooldown).

They're still (all) pretty bad sets, but I've known a few people who have a blast doing this.

I sometimes use it for random vet DLC Dungeons. Very useful to rez someone while you are targeted by a channeling oneshot mechanic. The 25% do make a difference. Even Alcast recommends it for heal builds - this is far from underused.
