I got tired of the default max settings so i started using reshade. Tweaked it too my own liking, ESO is much darker and MERSIVE for my liking now, colours more vibrant too, Ive always felt like the gamma gain in this game is just very over done which made the game feel like it had a very thin foggy tint constantly which honestly bothered the crap out of me.

the use of reshade made summer-set look like heaven even in comparison to it with reshade off.

Note: The nvidia experience thing, is based on reshade functionality but would and will look better if you just use reshade and tweak it to your liking, its litterally just ticking a bunch of boxes and then altering numbers (if you want to alter the numbers) i.e negative loses you colour, positive numbers gains you colour. Sharpen 1 - 2- 3- 4- 5 the higher you go the sharper it gets etc

and you can change it in game at any time with no restart required its brilliant.
Ah, e-communities - the "pinnacle" of the internet............yeah, right.

What is this reshade that people are talking about? If it's easier to use, I would like to try it out. Is that the name reshade or is there a specific program I should be using?
Not my quote but I love this saying

Yes, just google reshade and it should be the first hit. It’s very easy to install and use once installed. It makes a tremendous difference, imho. I’ll find an old post where I put screenshots up and PM it to you.

ETA: I could also be helpful and link it for everyone. https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/comment/5249983#Comment_5249983

right out of the box. No 3rd-party stuff all.

I forget if I'm currently running 6000x1080 or 5760x1080. I may have turned off bezel correction to avoid losing text.

I play in 5760x1080 with 3 ips screens 27", that's beautiful (ok, less than hunting 2017 call of the wild for landscape).
Putting chat box/combat log on left screen, my central screen is clear.

I make a lot of panoramas from different games, ESO included.

Best ones I published at this forum already.

Feel free to download and use, they are 2560*1440 mostly
    Careful, lots of pics there

This game looks beautiful on the Xbox one x with a good 4k HDR tv. HDR really makes the difference.

It's a beautiful game! Been playing only a month now, but I just discovered that nVidia Experience thing, wow makes the game exactly how I want it. But too bad it's buggy and doesn't work all the time. Which led me to the reshade presets. It's not perfect, but I'm loving it. Will go back to the nVidia Experience once it's fixed. ^^

I can't stand default graphics without Reshade. Also almost all base game zones have poop props and textures.

I bought new GPU only 2 days ago but I had little time to play last two days, and most of it I spent marveling at the new world where I don't need to change between low and high settings just to take a screenshot, often not being able to do it in time... <3:'(

I usually don't use water reflections in games, but here I decided to try them - and even on medium quality they look so nice and don't cause any noticeable loss to performance and no extra heat to hardware! I couldn't imagine the road to stable master at Vivec city is so beautiful...

I also never use shadows in any game... But I tried them here, on medium quality - and I'm not comfortable playing with them (they can spoil some "perfect" scenes where I would need to search for a place with different lightning), but the world looks so different and very interesting to watch! :o

    mUkNtum.jpg

I spent ~20 minutes in that place just watching the shadows and transition between darkness and light

    XC3jcCa.jpg

Grass + shadows + water reflections = totally different game, really beautiful :)

Of course, it would be weird if something was perfect here... like this unfinished area near Russafeld wayshrine :D

    pQhDnbM.jpg

I forgot to add - enabling grass doesn't cause any performance loss at all, even on my previous GPU.

what the hell is that? what are your specs?

    would i7 7700 with 1050 work?

I don't know much about computers @hakan so I don't want to say for sure. I am playing on an MSI laptop. i7 6700 with an nVidia GTX960M. Since you seem to have better specs than I do, my GUESS is yes it should work with your system.

While the above pic I am not happy with, this I am.

Here I am trying to get it a bit "softer" by making it slightly blurry and darker for more immersion when walking at night. This actually worked with the immersion part because it was freaking too dark and I was scared or more nervous I should say since I couldn't really see 2 feet infront of me. Once I left the city and ended up in the woods I ended up turning up the gamma a bit since I wondered way off and just didn't want to get lost no more. :)

A bit too dark, still learning how to use.

    Screenshot_20180830_230859.png

    2018_08_30_1.png

While it's too dark, I do like how the flames of the red and blue come out.

    Last edit.

The look I was trying was a bit of realism. Since there is no "city lights" or "light pollution" everything would be really dark. Just wish more stars would appear in the night sky because of no light pollution. Will try with reshader and see if it makes the job easier.

okay thanks. if you can achieve that with 6700 with 960 laptop, i guess my spec would be able to do the same good to know.

btw do you join trials or bgs? how smooth is it?
  • Davor

No I don't do BGS or trials yet. I am still a PvE. Most times I have no issues with it. I think the lag spike I get some times is because of the ping or server side. I am getting anywhere between 30 and 59 FPS. I could never get over 60 FPS with this off. So it's my card that is limiting me getting more FPS but I am finding it good for what I do.

Lately I have been having slowness on dolems. (not sure if that is the proper name. Where the chains come down in certain areas and we need to clear it). I just thought it was server issues for the slowness. Never thought of trying it off and do them.

Will go do one now with the settings off and see how it goes.

    *edit*

I tried the same dolem with nVidia Experience on and off, and it's the same. I have been getting lag spikes on both so I take it is mostly from server side.
