Posts are now being removed and altered at an alarming rate and this is extremely relevant to the discussion at hand and this thread in particular. While this is specifically related to the issues with HDR the problem underscores a much larger issue with apathy toward console players and an insufficient community dialogue related to this issue. If you took half the time and effort you are currently taking removing content that is “off topic” actually responding to the additional concerns and questions in this thread, console players may not be leaving your game at an alarming rate. I would certainly still be an ESO+ subscriber if you all had handled this differently. You are removing posts you want gone, not posts “off topic.” I still see many posts from people admitting to trolling in this thread that have not been removed. It just so happens they have a different view than the majority of people posting here so their posts get to stay? Once again, this is extremely relevant to this thread because you are suppressing the ability for us to talk about how this issue relates to a much larger issue the player base has with your game and your community management. These are relevant to the current HDR breaking update.

We lost that with the update, and it's such a shame. The least they could have done is made the HDR Brightness slider function to allow us to choose our own intensity level. Instead, we were given a grey mess with no options. You can't increase the color on the TV without over-saturating maps, HUD and loadscreens. The transition from load screen to world feels like going from full color to sepia now.I'd like to see this comparison at the same time of day
Um. If my game looked like your first pic, I'd be tweaking madly to get rid of it. Seriously, if that's what you like.... well, I don't, and thankfully I don't have to deal with it. The second pic looks "normal" to me. That's a good thing. I'm on PC thank the GODDESSES.

I dropped $2,200 on a HDR-capable TV and PS4Pro primarily for ESO. Yes, that's entirely my fault. I assumed they wouldn't change how the entire game looks nearly 2 years later. I was wrong about that, and while that's my bad, I can certainly express my frustration about it.
I'm calling for a slider that lets those with HDR setups set their own preferences. That's the right fix, assuming it's technically possible. Right now, what I see is load screens full of color, followed by a zone that's seriously muted when it comes to color. They simply don't match. The load screen sets the expectation, the zone doesn't deliver. Not angry, just disappointed that this was done in such a heavy-handed way and it really has completely changed the gaming experience for me with ESO.

@ZOS_GinaBruno
Obviously before typing this I haven't read ZOS' statement, but the no change policy just seems so radical and stupid
Wow you guys did a maintenance update today and did NOT revert this back???
Baffling. .
Maintenance and Patches aren't the same thing.... should have never expected a fix with a maintenance.
I noticed the same too! Odd

Baffling. I have left the topic relatively alone ever since we got a better explanation from @ZOS_MattFiror but the fact that an opportunity to fix this problem came and went and you did NOTHING is offensive as a paying customer.
It's become painfully apparent that the support for this game is on auto-pilot. I feel like quite the fool for investing my dollars into it at this point. Congratutions! In one thread and one issue, you've turned me from someone who would roll my eyes at people who would threaten to quit the game into someone who now has to consider what kind of a rube continues to pay money to a company that obviously couldn't care less about a large chunk of their customers.
I can only imagine that between the disconnect issues, skills XP not updating properly, food buff bugs, and every other problem this game has you certainly aren't investing the hundreds of dollars i've spent in subscriptions and crowns into actually fixing anything.
I am curious when I read a thread, and a new message come the title of the thread is bolded. Here I am seeing it greyed out as if I read it. So how come it's still greyed out when new messages are posted in this thread?

That’s an old bug in the forum software. Whenever posts get deleted the post counter doesn’t seem to get updated accordingly, and thus you won’t see the thread being pushed back to the top and bolded until the post count again reaches the number the counter was at before the posts got deleted.
At least that’s my observation over the years.
What's fricken hilarious is that they're worried about the opinion of a handful of players who have started playing for the first time ever since the update than the vast majority of players from pre patch.
Mind f'n boggled.

Same for me, its like there were no new comments yet it was on the regents page.
Personally think they need to revert HDR now, work out the code for a switch etc later. Roll back.
