nothing to do with steam, their servers give priority to non steam users
There is zero evidence that login are prioritized, this person is just pulling info out their rear end.
From what I’ve read many people were able to get in if they simply buy a key from Zeni directly (buying the game a second time). Wouldn’t that indicate that they are prioritizing support for non steam users if those on Steam are constantly not able to log in during peak playing times and you can justness pay them again for a non steam key to get in and play?
I got a steam card for $20.00 I wonder if I can buy a Zenimax key with it hah. That was sarcasm btw since I know I cantcoolkhajit wrote: »ManwithBeard9 wrote: »coolkhajit wrote: »Why is that exactly? That's an entire problem on it's own. Valve is not hosting separate servers for us They are all ZOS "mega-servers" Steam launcher only does a hand over. People have already traced the connection so this has nothing to do with steam.SilentRaven1972 wrote: »I've noticed Steam has been a bit wonky the last couple of days. Seems like it has everything to do with Steam since people with steam linked accounts cant log in.

It's a term used to make you feel confident that they can handle a Massive Multiplayer Online game, but has nothing to do with reality.

it means that its the whole NA not east and west or an deviation from being a whole server for a geographical location. it doesnt mean anything towards how powerful or capable the actual hyardware is for the server.

Do they just want us to buy the game twice to be able to have the luxury of using eso64.exe to start the game? People who bought it on steam long enough ago were given that capability so why was it taken away, and why not offer that as a solution to those of us who are having this issue?
Edit: also I tried logging into EU as well and it is working, which it didn’t earlier, so it does look like a NA thing.

It's the similar eason why they can't just migrate am account to or from consoles, the specific account was created using a 3rd party that is tied to the account. In this case, allegedly getting a new PC key will work to transfer from the 3rd party.
Don't worry guys in a few hours the censorship police (Mods) will remove your replies so the problem goes away, until it happens again, so it will be a brand new issue. and they will investigate as a brand new case. repeat.

That migration of users has a cost that ZOS is not willing to take. Plus it would not solve their inability to handle the amount of users. They will give you a crate tho, so you better be happy.coolkhajit wrote: »Would they have the capability of switching keys for steam users? I could see how issuing keys might be an issue since some might give or sell those keys to others but it seems like the most straightforward fix for this problem, unless they just want us to get frustrated enough to pay them for their problems by buying a second key (which is a bit tin foil hatty and I’m not willing to believe it was orchestrated like that).
