JC Max Tier Writs = Bugged 100%

24 days of dev silence on jewel crafting since this thread was created.

Many of the concerns brought up in this thread are legitimate and worthy of discussion among the development team.

@ZOS_GinaBruno can we please get some sort of comment so we know these concerns are at least being heard. More specifically, the lack of gold rewards from top tier writs and the poor reward to cost ratio on master writs.

This isn't just entitled gamers whining about things that don't matter. If you're a crafter in this game, these things matter, quite a lot. It would be nice to know that our concerns are not being ignored.

Looks like we can toss our master writs...
    Jewelry Crafting
    • Fixed an issue where the Jewelry Crafting Certification quest would accept any ring, rather than only accepting a ring you crafted.
    • Fixed an issue that was causing some of the Rich Seams in Jewelry Crafting Survey: Craglorn III to disappear when you got close to the resource nodes.
    • Added interaction text to Jewelry Crafting Writ Turn-In Crates.
    • Updated the text on the Jewelry Trait Master achievement for clarity.
    • Heavy Sacks will now have a chance to drop Jewelry Crafting Dust instead of Jewelry Crafting Ounces.
    • Dramatically improved the value of Artifact-quality Jewelry Crafting Master Writs, and significantly increased the value of Legendary-quality Jewelry Crafting Master Writs, in terms of their Writ Voucher payouts.
      • All Jewelry Crafting Writs received in the future will see this increased Voucher value; this change will not impact any Jewelry Crafting Master Writs already present in game.

The whole JC mat implementation is absurdly laughable. A perfect example of how to alienate and *** off the people who support you. I still do my daily writs and pick up some occasional mats in hopes that someday someone will pull their head out of the sand. But I really can't take it seriously anymore.

some people are selling them for way too much...its kinda funny.
"The red pill and its opposite, the blue pill, are a popular cultural meme, a metaphor representing the choice between:

Knowledge, freedom, uncertainty and the brutal truths of reality (red pill)
Security, happiness, beauty, and the blissful ignorance of illusion (blue pill)"

Insight to Agree to Awesome Ratio = 1:6.04:2.76 as of 1/25/2019

Compared to people that I've ignored = I am 18% more insightful, 20% less agreeable, and 88% more awesome.

Sure looks like doubling down on "We're right and you're wrong and we're not even going to discuss it."

Not sure that's the way you deal with a customer base that has intense dislike for how you've implemented a new feature.

I would love to be convinced that JC was implemented this way thoughtfully for good reason... still waiting for that developer discussion.

I have not received any Master JC Writs.Very odd as I get 2 or 3 Master Writs for other crafts daily. Would not complete one if I had. But lots of Surveys, many Intricate rings/necklaces which sell well and upgrading Platings. For me Normal Writs are very useful.

Careful what you wish for. Master writs are completely broken right now for jewelcrafting:

I think JC is exactly how they intended it.. They do not want it to be easy for us to get gold jewelry.. Don't think they honestly wanted JC in the game but people bitched so much they put it in but said jokes on you... Its there but its going to take forever for you to gold anything out!

The JC writs are still too expensive compared to other crafts post Wolfhunter. The issue is the drop rates of the grains is too low and 10 of them are needed to create 1 upgrade mat.

Yeah I wouldn't mind if they made the legendary one like 1/20 but 1/300 is kind of insane, also the others you hardly get any of as well mostly just the trait grains which suck

Top tier writs are still broken.
    Still no acknowledgement from ZOS.

The PTS change to master jewelry writs is a step in the right direction but it's not quite enough with the current top tier writs broken. Chromium grains need to have a value of approximately 4500g each (PC/NA) to make them worthwhile. If we had material entering the economy from top tier writs as well as hirelings, I think we could hit that balance. With the current bugged system, I can't see this happening any time soon.

ZOS, acknowledge the issue. Let us know there is a fix coming. We're only seeing a half fix to master writs. Alone, it doesn't fix the problem and as of right now, we don't even know if you're aware that top tier jewelry writs are not awarding materials the same way other writs do.

Yeah this is really bad to ignore an issue this long, already 2+ months into the chapter and no sign of any fix or anything

Hmm. Seems to be working for me.

Grand Master crafter, got a Jewelry writ for 123 vouchers.
And that writ requires a legendary item, no? So ~700K worth of gold upgrade mats (ignoring all other mats!) to get ~125K gold worth of vouchers? Yeah, that's "working" alright!

    Edit: ~700K not ~900k

No, it was not legendary. Epic.

I’m just trying to figure out why people buy when it’s the absolute worst time to do so?

Everything is new and shiny and people are losing their minds.

check it again. there is 0% chance that you have an epic master writ for 100+ vouchers.

You are correct. It is Legendary...and will be banked along with the other craptastic MWs.

Good to know. The improvement resources are way too rare.

I have a total of 14 green ones. That’s a sad drop rate.

Yes. I’ll have to look but I think I have 2 gold ones. 10 for 100%?

Nahhh. I probably will decon the writ.

    it's 10 grains = 1 plating (Temper)

But yeah I barely even see green ones drop at all yet alone legendaries I have done probably over 900 Max tier JC writs by now and have only had 4 legendary grains drop out of all that time

Yeah, just like they "significantly increased" the Vvardenfell and CWC furnishing plan drop from virtually nothing to only slightly more than nothing. The nice thing about vaguery is that you can say you did something without ever actually defining what you did.

Another junk mechanic that was rushed out, with no QA from ZOS.

Changing it just reinforces how incompetent this release was, the voucher/reward isn't even close.

Not backdating this change is another poor move shown on provisioning legendary writs also when ZOS finally discovered 10v for 8 Psijic Ambrosia's was not a trade off any player wanted to make.

In the end, get used to this behaviour.
